Sit Down

Raijin and Sapenta turned around to find Shirogane Yoru standing there, her expression unreadable yet somehow reassuring. She gestured for them to follow her down another corridor, away from the lounge and the lingering questions that hung in the air.

Without a word, the trio walked through the corridors of the base, Yoru leading with an assured stride. Raijin couldn't help but notice the contrast between her calm demeanor and the tense atmosphere they had just left behind. It was as though Yoru existed in a different reality, one where she knew the answers to all the questions swirling in Raijin's mind, which she probably did.

After what felt like a short journey through the labyrinthine halls, they arrived at a nondescript door. Yoru pushed it open, revealing a room that looked like a combination of an office and a briefing room. There were monitors displaying various locations and data streams, and a large table with maps and papers strewn across it.

The most interesting part about this room however was the fact that there were 2 old men inside of it. Raijin assumed that these people were the leaders of the Monster Killers, as most of the times in the stories he reads, the old men are almost always some powerful magic lords who train the characters.

Both men exuded an air of authority that was palpable, even in the midst of the seemingly ordinary office setting. One had a neatly trimmed beard and wore traditional Japanese attire, while the other had a stern expression that softened slightly as he noticed their arrival. This old man was also wearing traditional Japanese attire.

Yoru stepped forward, introducing them with a respectful bow. "Raijin, Sapenta, Ayuna, allow me to introduce you to the leaders of our organization," She pointed towards the one with the neatly trimmed beard, "He is Tominoshi Aka," she points to the other old man, "And he is Tominoshi Ferima. The two of them combined make the Monster Killers Leader."

'So I was correct,' thought Raijin.

"We assume you have a lot of questions. That is the reason why we have come here. Please, ask your questions and we shall do our very best to answer them."

Raijin looks up and sees that it was Tominoshi Aka who had spoken.

This Was It. He could ask whatever question he wanted and he would see if they would answer him.

"Please take turns. Before we start, however, would you please be kind enough to tell us your names?" This time, it was Tominoshi Ferima who had spoken.

The trio looks at each other before they answer.

"My name is Hebimori Sapenta", "My name is Nakamura Ayuna", "My name is Kurogane Raijin"

Both Aka's and Ferima's eyes widen a bit when they hear a specific family name, but the quickly compose themselves, not giving enough time for any one of the teens to catch them widening their eyes.

"I see... Well, go ahead and ask your questions. First, the girl, Ayuna. You ask a question first," Said Aka.

"Well, I think I'm just gunna ask the question that's on all of our minds; WHAT IN THE FUCK IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING?!" Ayuna had started speaking calmly but quickly raised her voice when she had asked the question.

"Yes, that is indeed a good question. You must all be confused and scared about what has occured. Well, sit down. This is going to be a long talk"
