The Villainess Who Stole My Heart

Lying on a soft bed was a 20-year-old man staring at the ceiling, his gaze lost in thought. If someone were to approach, they might see a thousand thoughts racing through his mind, or so it seemed, but in reality, the man was just bored.

After all, Adrian was a 20-year-old man without a partner, without family, and without friends, except for his dog Tom, who could be his greatest and only confidant.

"Ah... Another day of doing nothing, getting up, eating, working, and sleeping. I wish I could live in a novel or a fantasy world. I'm sure it would be more entertaining than constantly staring at the ceiling."

With a sarcastic comment, he got up and grabbed a book from the nightstand next to his bed. He opened it and started flipping through the pages as if looking for a specific chapter. After about five minutes of searching, it seemed he found it, and he immersed himself in the reading, only to throw the book in anger a few moments later.

"What is this!! How can the author kill the villain like that? Did they run out of ideas or what a shame? She didn't deserve to end that way, especially in the middle of the story."

"For God's sake, she had been absent for three chapters, and now suddenly you kill her? What's the sense in that?"

After complaining for about 10 minutes, he finally calms down. He gets up from his chair and heads to his bedroom desk, where there is a laptop on what appears to be a wooden table. Around the table, there are various types of drinks and food remnants, indicating it hasn't been cleaned in some time.

With a disgruntled expression, he quickly opens his browser and goes straight to the author's main page to leave a "nice and critical review."

"Dear author, I find it lamentable that you have killed the villain, a character who added so much to the novel and who hadn't done anything wrong. What fault does she have if the protagonist can't control where he should put his... well, you know? In my opinion, your novel has fallen apart. You killed my favorite character and the only sane one you had. Thank you for your horrible novel; please don't write anymore. Regards."

Once the message is written, he lies back down on the bed and starts to close his eyes with the intention of resting and forgetting the death of his favorite character, his only reason for reading the novel.

Hours pass, and the laptop turns on without any apparent reason, but a message appears on the screen. "I couldn't save her, and you claim you can? Welcome to my novel, kid. Show me how you'll save her and continue the story."

"Damn, why is this bed so hard? I remember buying it recently..."

Adrian slowly opens his eyes but soon realizes the situation.

BOOM

"Where am I? This isn't my room, this isn't my bed. What is this? Where am I?"

Fear can be heard in his words, the fear and surprise from the sudden change in surroundings.

Getting up slowly, Adrian sees a note on the table. He wouldn't normally have picked it up, but this note has the peculiarity of glowing. Opening the note and reading its contents, a mixture of emotions pass through his eyes, ranging from anger to amusement, bitterness, and sadness.

So, I'm in the world of the novel I was reading, which means I'm in the novel "Myths and Romance," if I recall correctly. "Myths and Romance" was a novel in which the protagonist and his companions join an academy where they can become avatars of the gods who had blessed them. All of this was initially to protect people from the corrupt beings that came through gates, or that's how it started, because the corrupt beings have taken over some countries themselves, meaning they have conquered them.

And now I'm inside a novel where a goblin could kill you while you're out buying bread... Just perfect, simply perfect. I leave a damn review for a random author, and it turns out to be a god with the writing skills of a hamster, and now he wants me to do what? Live my life peacefully, help the protagonist, what does he want me to do?

Let's see the letter... "Just live, do as you please. I can't wait to see how you'll finish the story I never could."

Damn, this is a bit too abstract. Could he have given me some hints or something... Cursed hamster god.

Let's continue reading the letter... Hmm, it doesn't say anything else? No help, tricks, systems, or anything like that? You must be kidding.

Briefly, the letter began to glow, and the letters started to change, revealing a new message.

"I'm not going to give you any gifts. Deal with what you find. I don't care if you take opportunities away from the protagonist or if you create a harem or if you destroy the world. Just live and create your story. But if you want advice, I'll give it to you. From the moment you entered, nothing will happen as it was destined to happen."

You must be kidding me...

Turning around, he lay back down on the bed. He didn't curse, didn't come up with a plan, or think about his future plans. He started crying.

Uncontrollable sobs could be heard from the small apartment he was in, sobs that reflected frustration, helplessness, and fear. Some neighbors were concerned, wondering what could cause a person to break into such uncontrollable tears?

It was the frustration of being brought here without being asked, the fear of being in a world where your life can be taken away at any moment, or perhaps the loneliness of being in a new world.

No one knew the reason for the crying, not even Adrian himself. He had simply let himself be carried away by the moment, letting out everything he thought, everything that filled his head, and the result was that wave of tears.

After half an hour of crying, he got up. There seemed to be a determination in his eyes as he headed to the bathroom to look at himself, and once in front of the mirror, he found a pale man with metallic gray eyes and white hair. As for his face, it wasn't worth mentioning, passable at best, but what really caught his attention was the tattoo on his chest. The tattoo consisted of what seemed to be a sword and gears connecting the design.

For a moment, he was amazed, and he couldn't help but forget all his fears until when he touched the tattoo, a light illuminated the bathroom, and he appeared in a completely different place.
