The End of Joy

"Give us two skewers of grilled meat," Ethan said to a man handling the beef. Everything looked delicious. However, the long queue made Ethan reluctant to do it. Helena didn't like waiting long for food.

Ethan handed one skewer to Helena with a bright face. "I guarantee this will be delicious. I'm the one who taught these guys how to grill tasty and easy meat," he said confidently.

Helena smiled and accepted the hot skewer. And indeed, it tasted very delicious. The mixture of garlic and ginger paste added to the meat seasoning made it so flavorful.

Helena ate very quickly. "This is so delicious!"

Ethan laughed as he watched Helena, who seemed regretful for only having one skewer. He then offered his skewer of meat. Of course, Helena was very happy to accept it.

While chewing her meat, Helena felt very awkward. So did Ethan. Time seemed to pass by so quickly. The festival ended as promised.
