Kyle had no interest in making his little woman worried.
He tried his best to control the rampaging energy so that it would not wreak more havoc inside his body.
The process was painful.
But for Kyle, this was nothing. He had already experienced many things much more painful than this.
The others came when they saw that these two locked themselves in the cabin. Kate explained that Kyle had fever, so they all take turns to fight these giant mutated animals without bothering these two.
After a few hours, Kyle's fever subsided.
He opened his eyes and looked at the young woman who was still sitting beside him. She seemed to sense that he was awake and looked over. "Thirsty?"
"Mhm."
Kate took out a glass of water and helped Kyle to drink the water slowly.
After that, Kyle sat up and raised his hand to rub Kate's head. "You don't have to worry about me so much. This small fever can't kill me."
