Chapter 3

Lucas felt an overwhelming feeling in his heart. He was over the moon. Only God knew how he felt at that moment, when he hugged the woman.

He dreams of her every night. The chubby teenage girl. When they first met, he fell for her at first sight. Despite her being criticised at school and neighbourhood for her body, he didn't care. Unfortunately, she had a fiancée. Her fiancée was a relative of his.

Eloise tried to get out of his hold but in vain. He overpowered her. She had no idea what to do.

"Hey. You got the wrong person. Let go of me! "she said as she struggled out of his arms.

"hmm? really? i don't think so." He said tightening his hand on her waist.

Eloise gasped. His body was so close to her. He held her as if he wanted to merge her body with his.

His assistant stood there dumbfounded. He never thought there would come a day when he would see his boss with a woman.

Lucas let go of Eloise and looked at her closely. He was not wrong. He found her.

Eloise looked down out of guilt. She heard a deep voice rang in her ears.

"You....you are Elli right?" Although it sounded like a question, there was a certainty in his voice that he was right.

Eloise looked up and his eyes met hers. She would return to New York in a few days. There was no reason for her to tell him her identity if they would never see again. But she did not know How wrong she was.

"No. I told you I'm not who you think i am. Don't disturb me." As soon as she said those words, Eloise turned around and walked out of the hotel without giving him a chance to talk.

Lucas stood there as he watched the woman's silhouette disappear. He was in a daze. He could not believe his luck. Out of all places, he would never thought he would see her in a hotel.

"James, i want all the informations of her by tomorrow morning." Lucas ordered his personal assistant who was by his side the whole time.

"Yes boss." James said as he brought himself back to earth from what he just witnessed.

Suddenly, the phone in James's hand rang. He looked at it and was surprised to see the name 'Cheng' displaying on the phones screen. He quickly gave the phone to his boss.

"Speak."Lucas answered the phone.

"Boss, we found nothing on the Gray family about eight years ago. It seems like someone took care of it. What do we do?" The voice from the other side of the phone said.

"Wait for my orders." Lucas said as his expression became cold and menacing. James stood there holding his breath. He could never get used to his boss's aura when he's angry.

Eloise arrived at the restaurant. There were not many tables available as it was dinnertime. The restaurant was almost full.

Luckily, Eloise spotted a table at the corner. As she walked there, many people turned their heads to look at her. They were admiring her beauty.

Eloise paid no attention to them as she was used to it. A female waiter came to take her order as soon as she sat down. She ordered Chicken bites with lemon asparagus and Chamomile tea.

After the waiter went, Eloise thought about what happened earlier. She was right. There was no reason to tell him anything.

Nine years ago her family set her up and drugged her drink so that she could sleep with an old man. They sold her to the man. The man was richer than the Grays. He promised them to invest in the company. The old man wanted to sleep with her step sister.

No one would want the fat ugly Eloise. But her younger sister, Lilian Gray, refused so they set Eloise up. They also drugged the man so that he could not recognize her.

At that time, Eloise ran after hitting the man with a lamp on his head. She knew her family hated her but never thought it was to the point of selling her to an old pervert.

She was running when she encountered Lucas. When Eloise saw him, she found hope. Lucas was first shocked but he then punched the man till he lost consciousness.

Lucas helped her hide in a room but as she was drugged, she forced herself on him. They had sex. Eloise thought no one would find her beautiful but the way Lucas kissed her body that night changed her mind.

Eloise was brought back from her thoughts when the waiter knocked the table. She saw Eloise's face which had become red.

"Miss, are you okay? Do you need help?" The female waiter asked worriedly.

Eloise was embarrassed and almost hit her forehead for thinking ng of impure thoughts.

"No, thank you." She said after she collected herself.

After dinner, Eloise decided to run round the hotel since It was healthy for her body. She did everything she could to take care of her body.

She was suddenly stopped by a man who she noticed was running with her the whole time. She wondered what the man's reason for stopping her was.

"Can i help you?" She asked. The man scratched his nape. He seemed nervous. He looked down to his feet and was acting like a shy teenage girl.

Eloise was getting impatient as she asked

"Yes?"

He suddenly looked up and when his eyes met with her hazel eyes, he felt intimidated. He felt like she was staring at his soul. Her eyes were like those of a temptress yet scary. He did not know how to reply. He just wanted her number but looks like he failed before even saying a word.

"Uhmm...nothing!" He said before running with his tails between his legs.

'Am i that scary?' Eloise wondered.

She decided to stop her exercise and sleep early since she had to visit the hospital tomorrow. She went back to the hotel.

She did not know that she was being observed by someone on the highest floor of the hotel.

There stood Lucas, his hand bleeding and a glass of wine was on the floor broken to pieces.

When Lucas saw Eloise running, he stood there as he watched her intently with a glass of wine in his hands.

He had a smile on his face. If someone ever saw this scene, they would be shocked. Lucas was not a person to show emotions.

He was staring at her as he slowly sipped from the glass. He was enjoying himself when a man approached her.

The room suddenly turned dark and cold. All he wanted was to kill the man. How could he talk his Elli when he looked like shit.

He smashed the glass in his hands out of rage. The man was getting on his nerves. Lucas then saw how Eloise was staring at the man. He instantly became happy when he saw the man run away.

He chuckled and was amused by how his Elli grew up. She became a strong woman.

But he did not care. He would kill if someone causes a problem for her. He would do anything for his Elli to be happy.
