Ch-10
Adira felt someone touching her kissing and caressing her. Opening her eyes, she only saw fluttering curtains in her room. There was no one in her sight. Was that her imagination? Maybe. Or maybe it's the effect of her wedding jitters.
She got up and drank some water before going back to her bed.
But sleep was far away from her. All she could think was about her Vampire Husband's scent and his touches.
He wasn't pale like others. Even his sister looked like a normal human. She wondered what's the thing with these both brother and sister. They have something different which made her curious about them.
Also, she heard rumors about her brother and Lenora kissing each other. Oh my god, her brother was too impatient. She wondered what was with them. But she was happy. Because her brother never showed any interest in any women after her sister-in-law's death. Now he was showing interest in a woman. It means this is a good sign.
She was happy for him. And also she liked Lenora. The way she asked questions without hurting her, and the way she punished the maid without any remorse made her feel she was a smart, knowledgeable, and brave person. She was a beauty with a brain who won't feel shy in front of her brother. In fact, her brother needs someone who was sassy as her.
She wondered if Lenora's brother would be like this or not. Ugh! Adira stops thinking about that blood-sucking creature and sleeps. She said to herself trying to divert her thoughts.
'It's as if you are not one,' her wolf said.
Adira just rolled her eyes at her. Indeed, even though they drink blood for them, the urge to drink some blood was something that they can control. They can survive with anything. And as for blood, they drink only on full moon night that too from their own hunt. But for Vampires, it's their food. It's necessary for them to drink blood at least once a day.
'I am sleeping,' she said to her wolf.
'As if you are sleepy,' her wolf replied.
'Fine! I admit defeat. Now tell me what shall I do? I am bored now,' Adira said.
'I want to think about my handsome husband,' her wolf said.
'Leia, don't forget he is a vampire. We have had enmity for ages. We don't know if we can trust him or not,' Adira said to her wolf.
'But he is the mate set by our moon goddess,' Leia said.
'Remember not everyone is meant to be mated. Dad and mom are mates but he never marked her,' Adira said.
'Right,' Leia said sadly.
'Wait! A werewolf bite can kill a vampire. To finish a mating both of them have to bite each other. Will he survive or die?' Leia asked feeling concerned.
'Even I don't know. We have to talk with elders and others. Maybe the great witch will give us some tips,' Adira said.
'Hope she gives some tips or suggestions,' Leia repeated.
'Yes, let's hope for the best,' Adira said.
Leia sighed sadly and bent her head. Adira knew her wolf was sad but she doesn't know how to comfort her wolf. She herself felt a pang when she realized this fact. But what she could do? They matched this marriage knowing everything.
Her heartfelt restless.
Her heart which was calm felt like a natural disaster taking place.
The decisions which can make the opposite race weaker and their race stronger now became a curse to her life. If people get to know her true mate was a vampire no one would believe her and more was… they will hate her.
And if by chance Zaros died during the mating process, even if she was assigned with a second mate by the moon goddess, they won't take her in.
Or was this a plan made by her brother?
He wanted marriage between them just to kill him and reign the control?
But the mate thing was unexpected.
She doesn't know.
No… no…. No… this can't be.
Oh god, where did you put me in? She groaned.
With her thoughts she slept not knowing when sleep consumed her.

Next Day…
"Adira, you are not ready?" Serene said entering her daughter's room.
"Mom, what do you mean by 'you are not ready yet'?" Adira asked feeling irritated because of her lack of sleep.
"We have to meet the race witch when the crescent moon. Before that you have to have breakfast with Valorine's," Serene said.
"Ugh! Mom! Who arranged the breakfast like that? Can't I have it on my own?" she asked.
"The Vampires came here yesterday. We need to show our hospitality. And it's their first sun set in this lands. The sun is not scorching. They can bear the sun now. So, we have to make it fast before the crescent appears," Serene said.
"Let me take a bath," Adira groaned.
"You only got half an hour!" Serene shouted reminding her.
Adira already washed her hair yesterday, so it didn't take much time for her to take a bath. She washed her hair only ones with her lavender scented shampoos and oils.
She came out wrapping herself in a towel.
"Mom," she called her mother the moment she came out not noticing there was someone else. She didn't see her mother in her room. Thinking that her mother might be in closet picking her outfit she walked to her closet.
The moment she stepped inside the closet, her nostrils were hit with the strong scent of Citrus and Woodsy smell making her feel some tickling feelings all over her body.
Suddenly, she felt someone in the room. And she knew who it was. She gulped hard when she realized who it was.
"My Lord," she squeaked trying to be normal but her voice came out like a mere whisper.
"Yes, My Lady," his masculine voice heard in her closet.
The man walked in front of her making her take a step back. But she slipped. When she was about to fall on her butt, he came to her and held her in place wrapping his hand around her.
Blood rushed to her face, her cheeks turned red, her heart drummed against her ribcage ecstatically. She herself can hear her heartbeat much less him.
She felt embarrassed at her body reactions, she tried to lower her gaze to escape his mischievous yet intense gaze.
"Thanks, My Lord," she said in a whisper.
"You are my wife, My Lady. There shouldn't be sorry or thanks between us," Zaros replied in his husky voice.
"I c-can stand," she said nervously to him.
"Of course," he said and was about to leave her. But her leg slipped and clutched his shirt tightly leaving her towel.
Zaros eyes widened in shock when he saw the beauty in front of him.
Adira looked at him with confusion. She could see he was frozen like a statue. His mouth was wide open, his eyes were as wide as saucers. What's wrong?
She followed his gaze and found that he was looking at her naked body!
What!?!
HER. NAKED. BODY!?!
She immediately bent down and picked her towel. She was blushing very hard at his gaze.
"You shall leave my lord," she reminded him.

Zaros was surprised when her towel dropped. Her beautiful collar bones, full breasts, thin waist, her perfect belly button, and her heart shaped womanly parts, milky thighs made his brain turn off.
He couldn't get his eyes off from her body. He felt his throat run dry. His adam's apple bobbed then and now still looking at her with his intense gaze.
Adira felt there was no other way to embarrass herself than this. She never knew things can happen like this in seconds.
"I have brought a necklace for you. Wear it for the breakfast," Zaros said before he disappeared from her sight even without getting a reply from her.
Adira just nodded at him. She didn't dare to look at him.
When a sudden gush of air brushed her, she realized he left already.
The moment he left her room, she fell on the couch which was in her walk-in closet. Keeping her hand on her thumping heart, she tried to calm herself down. But the image of him being close to her, and his unique citrus and woodsy scent lingered in her room.
She felt goosebumps every time she remembered his intense gaze on her. When he looked at her body with admiration she felt like burying herself in the earth.
Offfo…
This wasn't right.
A man shouldn't look at a woman before she gets married to him. But the way his eyes looked at her with desire made her shiver.
"Adira!" Serene's voice rang in her room.
"Mom! I am picking my dress," Adira replied after calming herself.
"I have got your dress," Serene replied.
Adira walked out of the closet and saw her mother brought a midnight blue dress for her to wear.
