A star? I wasn't even close to being something as beautiful. But... undying? Yes. I was. Since death never ever accepted me into its embrace. So what if I live this story to its end one more time? Just one last time. I want to feel it, living, rather than death. Only once. What awaits me at the end of this never-finished draft, I wonder... Is it the cure to my curse, or yet another rebirth?
"This too, is unfair."
Ian let out a hearty sigh. His hands covered his face, burying his tired eyes.
"I mean... If I'm going to experience hallucinations, why can't it be something nice?"
Something enjoyable. If not that, something exciting at least, like some ghost or such stuff. It could at least keep his mind awake, right?
"But instead, I keep seeing this!"
He suddenly raised his head and snapped his eyes. In front of his face was a tiny sphere of glowing dust.
"Some tiny flying glowing golden orb of Aetheric sand!"
The orb was floating here and there right in front of his nose.
"What are you? What's your usage? Hey, God?? At least give me a pleasing mental issue! What's this???"
This was unfair. Truly unjust.
Not only didn't he possess a proper life, not a pleasing past, nor a promising future, but even his hallucinations were meaningless and boring!
Did god enjoy teasing him that much?
