Why Me, Naku?

A thin and tall man walked cheerfully. His straight and stiff hair was bright green. His mouth was chewing gum. He blew the gum into a small balloon, then chewed it back when that small balloon popped.

"Finally, you have a task for me, Lord," he said shortly after entering a room at his master's mansion. The room was dark, the light only came from a torch near his master.

"Come here, Dom." Thin hands filled with veins called out to him, his skin looked so pale. Dominic came closer and kissed the hand.

"Whose head, My Lord?" Dominic raised his face, his narrow eyes sharpened by the flames of the torch.

"Gin's son."

"Sadewa?" Dominic asked his master.

"I don't know which one, but he killed Aska. We have to take care of him, shut his mouth and got revenge for Aska." The pale hand clenched into fists and hit on the chair armrest.

"Sure, sir. If necessary I will kill Gin for you." Dominic got up from where he knelt.

"Just the kid, Dom. Don't let them find out about us deeper. Our project isn't finished and I don't want to screw it up." He got up, looking at the two large tubes across his chamber window.

"Yes, My Lord."

"The lunar eclipse will begin soon, take Shiera, Dom. Looks like we can not underestimate Gin's son, even though he is only a half-wolf."

"As you wish, My Lord." Dominic excused himself after kissing the back of his Alpha's hand again.

Two days after Liffi knew the truth about Nakula. Since that, every day Liffi felt paranoid. She was afraid of sharp nails coming out from the tips of Nakula's fingers. Liffi gasped, she could not erase this terrifying image.

Liffi followed the streets in the city center to the campus. The streets were quite busy and the morning sun was shining so hot. Everyone was up and doing their daily routine. Work, school, jogging and more.

"Liffi !!" called Nakula. Even though his handsome face was covered with a mask, Liffi could still recognize Nakula from the distinctive tone of his voice, clear but a little heavy.

Liffi didn't answer, she turned around and jogged, avoiding the man.

"Hey, Girl, why are you avoiding me?" In a flash, Nakula had caught up with Liffi, walk beside her.

"Don't come near, Black !!"

"Naku, Liffi, Naku!" Nakula wanted Liffi to call his real name, not Black, the stage name he got when he refused his identity as a werewolf.

"Na — Naku, please go away! My meat isn't delicious. I'm thin and less fatty. Please don't eat me!" Liffi kept walking, her eyes avoiding Nakula's gaze. She hurried into the crowd hoping that Nakula could not pounce on her.

"Hahahaha !! Who wants to eat you, Girl??" Nakula was both amused and annoyed, Liffi still thought that werewolves ate humans.

"Oh, please stay away from me." Liffi begged, she turned her step into a church and went inside.

"You know I can't, Liffi, you are my mate, and we are meant to be together." Nakula also entered the church.

Liffi took holy water and made a cross on her forehead, chest and shoulders. Then looked at Nakula for a moment and sprinkled the holy water on his face. Nakula was shocked, he stepped back a little, astonished by Liffi's actions to him. Holy water? Seriously?

"Why?"

"What?"

"Why doesn't it work?" Liffi again took holy water and sprinkled it more on Nakula's face.

"Liffi, do you think holy water can kick me out?" Nakula giggled at Liffi's innocent.

"Er... I... I just trying?" Liffi left Nakula with a flushed face. She sat in the middle row, began to fold her fingers and pray.

The calm and solemn atmosphere greeted Liffi. A few elders enjoyed their morning prayer. There were still a lot of empty chairs, the church was not as busy as Sunday morning.

"You prayed to him?" Naku crossed his legs, looking at the cross.

"Shh...!" Liffi gave the code by placing her index finger in front of his mouth.

"What are you asking, Liffi?" Nakula was curious about Liffi's prayer.

"G-E-T A-W-A-Y F-R-O-M Y-O-U !!" Liffi quietly slipped the words in her mind.

"Oh ... unfortunately that will never happen, I will continue to stick to you." Nakula giggled, it felt good to tease Liffi.

"Why don't you get burned? Don't you feel hot? I splashed you with holy water!" Liffi wondered why it wasn't like in the movies. Vampires and werewolves were afraid of holy water.

"Hahahaha!!!" Nakula laughed out loud, making everyone turn their faces to look at him. Looking for one who has no manners by screaming and laughing in the church.

"Sorry, I'm sorry ...!" Liffi got up and bowed apologetically for Nakula's sake.

"Why are you bowing toward them? They're human, lower than us." Nakula held Liffi's wrist.

"Let go, Naku !! Do you forget that I'm a human?" Liffi took her hand and got up to leave Nakula.

"I thought maybe you are werewolf too, Liffi, I could smell it, feel it, you are my mate." Nakula followed Liffi behind, sticking his hand into his trouser pocket.

"I am human, Naku, believe me !! 100% I am human." Liffi took more holy water and made a cross, then sprinkled some on Nakula's face.

"You still do it? Even though you know it doesn't work." Naku was still amazed by the silliness of this girl, confused whether she was too stupid or too innocent.

"Then... what works for you? What can hurt you?"

"Losing you, Liffi, losing you will hurt me deeply, especially in this area." Nakula took Liffi's hand and placed it on his chest. Liffi's face flushed red when she felt her palm touch Nakula's chest. Liffi's heartbeat was as fast, as irregular as Nakula's right now.

"I have to go!" Liffi pulled her hand from Nakula's grip.

"Wait, Liffi, please don't avoid me! I'll prove it, prove that I love you, if you really are my mate." Nakula looked at Liffi's face, making Liffi stare at his handsome face and down to his juicy lips.

[Damn it. Why do I even remember that kiss??] Liffi looked down in embarrassment, her heart did not deny that she wanted Nakula too, just as she wanted the warm embrace from Sadewa.

"Why me, Naku? Why must a human like me?"

"I also wonder, Liffi. I often ask the Moon Goddess. Why give a human as my mate?" replied Nakula.

"Moon Goddess ?? You worship the moon?"

"Yeah."

"Oh, God!" Liffi walked again.

"Is it wrong?"

"No, there's nothing wrong." She stepped faster.

"Then, how?"

"Wh... What?"

"Getting closer to you? Do you allow me? Can I?" Nakula was still chasing Liffi's paces which continued to widen.

"Whatever!! Please leave me, Naku !! I have to go to campus," said Liffi, she continued her steps toward the campus area.

"I assume it yes. See you, Girl." Nakula pulled Liffi's elbow and kissed her lips.

"Ach!!" Liffi was surprised because of the sudden attack from Nakula, she could not protect her lips from that sweet kiss.

"Thank you for this sweet kiss, Girl." Nakula smiled, he winked before running away.

"You bastard!!" cursed Liffi, her cheeks blushing very red.
