"Save me... Carter" she said with the last bit of consciousness in her. Her fingers tightened around his collar released afterwards and she slipped back into her unconscious state. 

Carter felt his heart squeezing in his chest. It hurts so much that he could not bear to see her like that. He could only mutter "stay awake for me, baby" continuously. 

He laid her gently in the car and closed the door. He then hurried back to the driver side and entered. He started the car and headed straight to the hospital. 

His fingers tightened around the steering till his knuckles turned white. His mind went wild as he thought of different things that could have happened. 

He was home, waiting for her arrival when he received the text she sent. Help. Just a word that she sent and nothing else. Several thoughts crossed his mind.
