Confronting The Coward

Wojeski Items was a store buried deep in the heart of Diagon alley.

several powerful charms surrounded it, obviously warning those who wanted to break in and steal its riches.

Wojeski was a Bulky man, with a sturdy body but a soft face that didn't match.

Hearing the door go, his eyes locked on the old man who just come through.

"Are you buying or selling..." His eyes suddenly came dignified "It seems that Mylo isn't with you, Mr Scamander,"

Newt gave a small sigh

"Oh, how it is to be young." Newt said to Wojeski "Say, I never asked you. what school did you go to?"

"I and Lustria went to Hogwarts." Wojeski's smile slowly diminished.

"Where you got sorted into Slytherin, correct?"

"Yes." Wojeski looked reminiscent before his expression turned solemn.

"You were good friends with a pure-blood wizard, Lucius Malfoy, correct?"

"Friend....more like a servant." Wojeski's left hand slowly started to twitch.

"Show me your left arm."

"Don't do this." Wojeski's face was pleading "Please, for Mylo's sake..."

"Show me your arm!" Newt pulled out his wand and glared at Wojeski "I knew that you were suspicious, but Mylo was there and i-"

Wojeski chanted something, before a deep black mark that seemed like it was etched on his skin suddenly appeared.

It depicted a skull surrounded by a snake, it almost seemed like it came alive.

"Tell me, why shouldn't I kill you right here?" Newt's grandfatherly stare was gone, replaced by a cold look.

he was a frail and warm man in his youth, but the doctor diagnosis reminded him that he wasn't young anymore, and when he was to pass he would want to leave Mylo in the best way possible.

"And his mother?"

"She was never in the "death eaters" personally, but she did a few tasks for them."

" A mercenary?" Newt raised his eyebrow "And what about you?"

"I was an outer member, one tasked with dealing with crime scenes."

"What did Mylo's mother do with the materials?"

"I don't know, but it probably has to do with the fact she came back stronger," Wojeski said with a sigh

"I see." Newt's eyes flashed in an unexplainable light.

"How did she get her hands on a stage three dementors cloak?"

Wojaski shrugged, before saying

"If your gonna kill me, do it now." Wojaski shrugged. "But heed my call, the dark mark burned. even just the tiniest spark. I could feel it!" He cried out.

"It...burned?" Newt said with a look of doubt. "What... would happen if you-know-who returns?"

"He would send people to hunt the rogue death eaters... or their descendants." Wojaski said "If you leave me alive, I will help you. not for your sake, but for Lustria's child."

Newt's eyes flashed, before saying

"Tell me more about his mother."

-------------------------------------------------------

Thick snow pelted the window's of the grand hall as the festive season of Christmas had come.

It was the 25th, meaning that it would be his last day in Hogwarts.

Owls came from all directions, as parent's that couldn't let their kids come home handed their large gifts over to the famished owls, which seemed like they would drop at any moment.

Mylo was no exception, but he had a different plan.

Casting an invisibility charm on himself, Mylo watched as the sensitive teachers raised their eyebrows at his blatant use of magic, but Dumbledore only smiled.

Saint Mungo's hospital did a routine Christmas report to the guardian/descendant of a patient.

it comes without fail , but he didn't get anything.

sneaking up behind Rolf, Mylo watched him open up his Christmas present, where 2 Saint Mungo's letters were shown.

"Hey, Rolf, I never asked you this, but why do you get 2 letter's from Saint Mungo's hospital?"

"One's for my brother, I give him this every time we meet." Rolf embarrassing said, hiding the letter behind him.

"Is that so?" Mylo dispelled the invisibility charm, his face flushed red with anger. "That strange, I never seemed to get a letter from you."

Rolf's expression was priceless, he looked like he shit a brick.

But the amusement was flushed out with anger.

"Outside the grand hall." Mylo said "NOW!"

His screams drew the attention of the majority of the people in the grand hall, as hushed murmurs filled the vicinity

"So HE IS his brother." Anthony said, "I knew it!"

Luna wasn't smiling "Im sure you should be proud of that, Anthony." Luna was reading her magazine "Besides you weren't the only person to figure it out."

Anthony gave a small cough before his expression became solemn

"Should we help him?"

Luna's personality had changed under the influence of Anthony and Mylo "No, it's a personal matter. He will come to us if he needs the help." Kind but words that could crack Anthony's ego in a second was the wisdom of Luna.

---------------------------------

The chamber halls felt as cold as ever, as Mylo stared at his brother, who was looking at the floor

"What can't even make eye contact?" Mylo's eyes were sharp, and his brother suddenly stuttered

"I-I-I-I-I"

"Grandfather is a dying man, you idiot." Mylo said, "DO YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I CARE FOR HIM?"

the fact that Rolf didn't look up made Mylo even more pissed off

"Whose plan was it?" Snatching the letter out of the hand of Rolf, Mylo tore it open and scanned it.

"No.." His expression became worse.

--

ESTIMATION OF TIME UNTIL DEATH: 1-2 YEARS.

---

Something that Mylo was early waiting for. He needed the information.

He thought that he had more time left, but the note on the bottom of the page shocked him.

"MANA EXHAUSTION - MID."

"MANA EXHAUSTION AND ALZHERMIERS GIVE THE PATIENT ONE-TWO YEARS TO LIVE, ALTHOUGH CASES MAY RESULT IN LONGER OR SHORTER EXPERIENCES. ANY STROKES, HARMFUL EVENTS SHOULD BE REPORTED TO SAINT MUNGO'S HOSPITAL, DIAGON ALLEY.

"You... You didn't tell me this?" Mylo said to Rolf.

His anger disappeared, returned with pure shock

Mana exhaustion was, like his condition who's effect had become minimal, is when a human body can't fluctuate magic as well as normal, and their body mana would slowly start to congeal and rot. This was a common effect on old people with frail bodies, and it seemed only stronger wizards can mitigate this effect.

it was a weaker version of his own disease, of which he weakened with the unicorn Concaution, but with that with Alzheimer's...

he wouldn't last long.

"Grandad... has sent no letters over the past few months." Mylo said, "Give them to me."

"There in the Gryffindor common room!" Rolf said, "You can't go in there?"

Mylo scoffed "Did I stutter?" Intense flushed of anger made Mylo dizzy with disgust , to the point where he wanted to sit down and puke.

For a moment, just for a moment.

Mylo considered the Cruciatus Curse.

It was a moment of weakness.
