TEARS

He reached the part of the mountain where he met the martial school and landed on his feet after doing a flip on his last air launch that landed him on a flat surface. He activated his Kakugan immediately and used presence manipulation at the same time.

The disciplines of the martial school looked like they had just seen a ghost, the master on the other hand wore a wide teethed smile on his face and waited for the foreingner's next action.

Shuu activated his kakugan to quickly scan the area and then laid his eyes on the master. Shuu let out a hot steamy breath and envisioned himself appearing before the master and willed his muscles to do so. Since this wasn't the first time he had tried dashing forward but doing it in an instant it was almost natural for his body to obey the orders sent from his brain.

The female disciple that was near the master thought the foreigner was just being dumb but not dumb enough to attack the master directly… right? Her eyes widened as her doubts were confirmed and felt danger and killing intent directed at her master.

'This ant dares look at the honoured one like that?!' She thought and felt Shuu's trajectory path with her trained senses. She rushed forward to intercept Shuu just before Shuu's body flickered from its initial position. She dived low and delivered a spinning kick to Shuu's incoming body. With the force applied on her leg and Shuu's momentum, that was a sure knockout if not another coma-inducing attack.

Shuu saw the way she left her position but had trouble following the way she moved her body even though she was moving in a straight path.

'This is the same movement technique her maser used. It's too late, I can't predict it… I can't... wait…' Shuu then remembered Kagawa back in high school from his home world. Kagawa was an exceptional defending talent in Shuu's football team. Shuu being a forward would do defensive and attacking drills with and against Kagawa each day they train. Kagawa had been the best defensive talent in the states league and rumours have it that he was linked to a club in Europe named Nottingham Forest. In one of their training drills, Shuu approached Kagawa for advice since he wanted to improve his game and striking options by being a defensive forward.

"Ha, since you are in front you have it easy. You dribble as if you are ten per cent Brazillian." Kagawa joked but then got down to business.

"You see when you do your legovers or stepovers, I don't look at your legs." Kagawa said and paused. If Kagawa didn't have Shuu's attention he sure did now.

"My eyes are always on the ball. It is sometimes difficult when you play against dribbling maestros whose goal is to bring shame to you and your family name by leaving you sprawled on the ground or chasing a ghost, hahaha. Sometimes I anticipate their movements by the slight twitch in their feet, though you have to be experienced in that aspect to know the difference between a feint and a twitch. What I lack now is the experience in anticipation like some great Italian defenders amongst others." Kagawa said making hand gestures while looking at his boots.

"Haha, I have spoken too much again. Let's train harder once more since we are going up against the defending champions tomorrow captain!" Kagawa said as he was the first to get up and offered his hand to an astonished Shuu. Shuu laughed and took his hand.

That memory flashback only lasted for half a second as he prepared himself mid-rush in a guarded boxing position. The kick he couldn't read seemingly came out of nowhere and aimed for his head. Shuu hid a smile under his raised arms, all he needed was just to see the attack and not the way she moved even though it was instant.

Shuu instantly grabbed her leg, bent it forward in one quick motion and continued his path towards the master. To the eyes of the lower disciples, the movements of both parties were obviously blurry but could only make out someone falling forward and muffling their scream and the other making their way towards their master.

"You can even injure Cheryl, come at me if you dare." The master said as made a come hither motion with his hand.

'The fool has let the beast control him. I thought I saw promise in this one, but apparently, he is just a wild savage drunk on his little achievements. I'll end it quickly.' The master thought as he felt pity but then readied himself even though his countenance looked lax.

Shuu's heightened sense saved him from certain death as he felt danger at the master's left index finger.

Shuu immediately stopped in his tracks and took a deep breath.

"Like I said earlier, I am Tsukiyama Shuu, I have heard about this school and would want to be your disciple. I also intend to carry out my promise when I surpass you." Shuu said as he deactivated his kakugan. Truth be told Shuu couldn't find any opening or chance where he could even inflict pain on the man in front of him.

"Hmm, and here I thought you were all brawn. Or perhaps you knew were already going to die if you came any closer." Tian jr said with a smile on his face. Shuu said nothing but maintained eye contact.

The rest of the disciples especially the top disciples were angry when they heard this foreigner carelessly speak about surpassing their master.

"Hahahaha! I like you. You are a weakling, but a weakling with brains. I am Tian jr, from now on you will be an outer disciple of the Emperor Wind clan. You will now refer to me as Master. Cheryl over there will handle your lodgings and inform you of what you need to know. She is your senior and you will give her the respect that comes with it. You are only to answer yes from now on to your seniors." Tian jr said as a matter of fact as he pointed to Cheryl.

Shuu looked back and saw a grunting Cheryl who massaged her leg which had already healed and fixed itself in place. She looked at him with rage in her eyes and began to approach Shuu with malicious intent but stopped when she saw her master shake her head and disappear from the scene.

Shuu turned back and saw no one but the remaining students glaring at him.

'I couldn't even sense him leave.' Shuu thought but was soon called out by Cheryl.

"Hey! Thank the heavens that Master let you off easy by not letting me discipline you. Follow me. I will talk about the rules of the clan as we approach your lodgings. I won't repeat myself." Cheryl said as she walked off and started talking to herself about the rules of the clan.

'She's serious.' Shuu looked in amazement and caught up with her to hear her better. The remaining disciples went their way in groups talking about the new talent in the clan. Some refuted that claim even though they were there and the others that were away on missions shared the same belief. The top disciples were not to be scoffed at all. They were top for a reason and one would understand their reason for doubting the rumours since Cheryl was a rising star in the clan even though she was not a top disciple yet.

Shuu followed Cheryl and noted all the rules and obligations as one who is a new outer disciple. She led him to the path at the sides of the mountain that featured narrow spaces that were enough for one person to pass at a time. Shuu noticed what seemed to be caves that were artificially created at the sides of the mountain. Those caves had the width of two dormitory beds. It looked like someone just kept punching their way in until they carved what seemed to be enough space to sleep and meditate.

"This is your room from now on. The last outer disciple that was here fell to her death while sleeping. You will do well to follow suit." Cheryl said and started running across the walls like some sort of ninja. What impressed him was that she continued that for long until she reached the top of the plateau that Shuu made his entrance. As she passed, the disciples who were shirtless bowed to her.

'What the? I hope I don't have to do that too. What did I sign up for here?' Shuu thought as he tried to make himself comfortable in his cave/room. Shuu then began to feel homesick about the Tsukiyama household and then the feeling became stronger when he remembered his dad back in his home-world. He felt very anxious for his life and annoyed. He loves the feeling of progress he makes when he is getting stronger in this world but he soon felt heavy in his heart about how far he is going now just because he has to make contingency plans for his life in another world.

Of course, he would be anxious and sad even. The world he came from was civilized to the point that if you didn't come from a war-torn country, the only things that could kill you early were sickness and diseases which had temporary cures most of the time, carelessness, transportation accidents, overdosing on anything at all, the list goes on but he was sure that the world he lived was not one where humans had a clear predator that constantly fed on them because they had to. The cold breeze didn't help the way he felt as he hugged and coiled himself for warmth.

"I miss you Dad." Shuu said as he let a tear escape his eyes. He said a short prayer and slept after minutes of crying without tears.
