Chapter 63: Cracked (1)

Li Dong Hai was able to catch up Chen Xue'er as she ran back toward their bedroom. He grabbed her arm and spun her around, making her face him. 

"Xue'er, stop! Let's speak." 

Chen Xue'er's tears were already flowing nonstop. "I know what I did today was foolish, I know. Can you please just leave me alone?" 

Li Dong Hai was not sure what to say about that. He already had his plate full with the emperor pushing him to find the spy soon. Now, his wife was taking stupid decisions and visiting a consort that was famous for being poisonous. Metaphorically and literally.

The only words that came out of his mouth were, "I will arrange a carriage to return you back to Chang An. I will also send you money periodically. You can open a small business or do whatever you want with it."
