Beginnings

In an island at the centre of the world.

In this island, there was a shore and strangely only one tree. This island and the environs was devoid of life. Only the giant tree existed. This tree was known as the creation tree, the tree of Eden.

The tree stood there for thousands of years living like a normal tree except bearing fruit. The tree had no mind of its own, only going through the normal cycle if life. Although it was the first tree in existence, it wasn't a spirit tree nor a demonic tree, it was normal.

However, after ten billon years of being in existence, it started to absorb some strange nutrients. The ancient tree started to gain sentience. The gravitational field around the island started to absorb the newly discovered mana.

The island had no animals including fishes and birds and plant except the Ancient tree because of its devourer gravitational field. Once it discovered something alive, it would suck away the life force and mana and turn it into nutrients for the tree. However the mana didn't last long to be given to the plant and it went back to the atmosphere quickly.

The gravitational field served the tree as a servant would. The devourer had long turned into something else more tangible. A black mass of dark energy that lived within the giant branches of the tree and around it.

The tree absorbed the strange nutrient for another three million years and finally, it gained a consciousness. An outline of a humanoid body formed on the trunk of the tree. The eyes in the outline finally opened.

Strangely on the outline, the eyes had a pupil that looked weird. It was like the stars of the skies on a bright night. The tree of Eden had awoken.
