The New Land

"Ouch..." I woke up to the birds poking me in the face.

"Hey! Get away !" I said as I drove the birds attacking me. I stood up on my feet with sand sticking up my clothes. The noises of birds and waves reaching my ears.

It was evening time. The sky was clear and an orange-looking sun was nearing the Horizon. The view was almost something out of a fairytale.

'Where am I?' I wondered while looking around my surroundings.

On my left, there was the vast unending blue ocean, there was nothing other than water. And On my right, was a gigantic forest of unfamiliar trees. So dense, that I couldn't even look through it.

I was puzzled about my exact location.

I naturally had the first thought of getting together with Levi and Ragnar.

I looked around in the nearby debris along the coast but had no luck finding them.

I remember fainting with Levi right beside me, but she was nowhere to be seen.

"I'm sure Ragnar would've saved her."

I believe this is the truth. Maybe because of him being so keen on following the 'Voice' that told him to take both of us to Mystia. I could not imagine him not trying to save both of us.

'How much time has it been?' I could not help but wonder. Watching the sunset made me think it was the same day as our kidnapping, but for the current to carry me so fast and there being no trace of storm clouds just made it more confusing.

"No, I should stop thinking about this! I need to find them both."

Avoid trying to think about questions like, 'Why did Ragnar leave me behind? or is Levi even saved?' I started to look for them.

I need to find them both quickly or as a place to stay the night. It can be pretty dangerous to live alone on an unknown land.

If I were to be attacked by an animal, I cannot protect myself. I need Ragnar's help in order to survive. I was also worried about Levi. Ragnar called her a 'Pain in the ass'.

"He is going to kill her !", I got worried. Considering both of their attitudes, they were bound to fight one another. It could be really bad for Levi, She wouldn't stand a chance against Ragnar's powers.

Thinking about the best way to locate them, I had a great idea in mind.

I found a giant rock on a lifted ground a few meters away and climbed on it to get a good view of the area.

I scouted out the nearby surrounding area.

"Oh boy...Could it be..?" I said.

*Am I in Mystia?* I can't be sure but in this case, there are very high chances of this being Mystia.

I was trying to find the 'M.A.P' if there was one. A 'M.A.P' is a port built for researchers and miners who must be visiting soon to gain more info about this mysterious island. Given that I have no access to food and water currently, it would be far more beneficial to find a place containing these resources.

If I'm able to find it, I can take help from them and look for Levi and Ragnar. It would be the best scenario if it happens but the odds are really low.

I looked around the area from upon the giant rock but there was no proper landmark to be seen on the island. Just thick, tall trees everywhere. I was in a Jungle. I had no clue about the port's location. But I could use a method.

From what I've heard, the port on Mystia was built in the south direction of the island, so I could find it, judging by the location of the sun.

I stretched my arm towards the setting sun and I tried to figure out where the south direction was.

"Ok, The sun is setting this side, So the south should be right that way." I mumbled.

Pointing towards the south direction, I got off the rock and started heading towards it into the Forest.

Two hours had passed...

I was walking towards the south direction for nearly two hours more or less.

There was nothing to be seen in any direction, the forest was still as dense as it was when I started, with no change in the whole path.

"Goddamn it! Where the hell am I?!" I started complaining about my situation.

It was night time already, the moon was out and the stars covered the sky, there was no trace of the storm clouds.

Walking across this path, I saw many unknown flowers and plants, Some of which I've only read about in books. I even came across 'Pernicioula', A flower so deadly, one drop of its poison is enough to kill 90 humans. Its Purple in colour and its vines are fully covered with thorns that pierce the skin on the way in. The plants here are also pretty huge in comparison to the plants in Riaz.

I wonder what kind of animals live here.

Surprisingly, even after walking for so long, my feet didn't hurt much, neither did I feel thirsty or hungry. It was like my body gained extra ordinary strength and resistance.

I came up with a plan to test if it was really true. I got myself into a sprinter stance.

"Ok. 1,2,3...Go!"

I took a deep breath and sprinted ahead, I ran as fast as I could.

"Woah!" I was shocked to the core. How am I able to run THIS fast?! I was Blitzing through gaps between the trees.

Now that I notice it, my body feels lighter.

I felt a sense of freedom within my body, as if I could finally use it to its maximum. I couldn't help but smile.

After running for a while, I started slowing down, My breath finally caught up to me.

"Holy...shit." That drained me more than it should have.

"This island's environment is a lot different from Riaz." And Boy oh boy, different it was. Usually, I'd give up after running for 40 seconds or so.

I could never have dreamt to run that fast for this long. Even if I tried my hardest.

My loss of hunger and thirst could be the result of the island's environment too. But it was beyond my comprehension that how just the environment of an Island was able to boost my body to such 'Super-human' levels.

"Am I really in Mystia?" I said.

*What is the true mystery of this island?

How true are the rumours?* Thoughts like these started coming to my mind.

With no other hope, I continued to head towards the south direction while trying to think about the answers to any questions or theories that came to my mind.
