CHAPTER 3 – Adventurer Guild

All Characters who are being summoned into another world.

Alvin Gray – Black Hair and Black Eye with glasses, has INDIAN origin, 5'11'', rarely comb hairs

Sakura Shinzu – A teen Idol from JAPAN, have pink dyed hair and Brown Eyes, 5'8''

Emma Pearl – A CHINESE origin girl living in Canada for the last 2 years. Black Hair and Black Eyes, 5'9''

Cho – Hee – A KOREAN girl with the same age as Alvin, currently studying, Brown Hair and bit brownish eyes, 5'10''

As I was slowly drinking while thinking. Suddenly a guy came and sat across the seat where I was seating!

"Hi there, never seen you here before!" he said.

Looks like he is an adventurer coming back after completing a request, I think it's appropriate to greet him back so I introduced myself to him as, "Hi, I'm Alvin. I am just traveling in different places along with my friends".

In reply, he said, "I see, it's good to explore." Then he also ordered something to eat and drink.

He asked me to join him but I didn't feel like eating right now as I already ordered this drink which was about two coppers but I guess. It's good!

As the guy was done with the order he said, "sorry for the late introduction, I'm Brody! I'm just a 'D' class adventurer."

Then he said, "I came here in this city for delivering request."

I initiated a handshake with him and said "It's nice to meet you."

A while later whole lobby was bustling with customers. I guess at night there are a lot of customers here.

The innkeeper brought Brody his ordered food. I was curious, so I asked him, "so, if you are here for a delivery mission. Then where are you from?"

As he was enjoying the meal while eating slowly, Brody told me that he is from the capital city of the Dawn Empire, which is also known as 'The Elder City'.

He said, "This Ariel city is one of the biggest port cities of the empire on the western side, so you might be able to see every type of people with different work lines from all the places."

As he said the name of the city, I remembered the name of the city, I should learn the name of the places and get an understanding of the geographical layout of this empire.

Well, now I know that I'm inside 'Dawn Empire' and I need to go towards the east in order to find the capital.

Brody was done with his meals. He was ready to leave, he said, "well my friend, I need to get back moving, as you see I'll be leaving with my party members. We have something planned tonight."

I didn't stop him even though I wanted to ask a few questions about the capital being called Elder city and such but I just said, "Sure, let's meet again sometime later."

It will be bad to keep bugging him, I guess. I also ordered a regular dinner. After eating it I went upstairs back to my room. I saw Cho- Hee was still sleeping. I guess it's the same for other girls as well. They might need this rest, after all tomorrow will be a busy day.

I should also go to sleep but sleeping next to her will be a bit weird. Well anyway, I'm not sleepy a bit. I wonder is it because I'm at a high level that I'm not tired or is it just I can't relax in an unknown place.

Slowly, customers leave and other people also get back in their rooms. I guess this Inn is closed now.

I was a bit leaning on the window and looking outside as it's got midnight.

There is really nothing much to do right now. I wonder what's happening back at home. Well, I disappeared at night, so everyone is going to notice me missing in the morning.

As I was busy thinking these things. Cho – Hee woke up and found me near the window stargazing.

She said, "not sleepy? What are you thinking this hardly?"

I kept staring and said, "nothing much, just thinking about what might be happening in our world back at home."

"Well as you can see, I don't feel sleepy at all for some reason so I was wasting my time while thinking these things.", I said.

Cho – Hee got up from the bed came near the window where I was standing.

She said, "I don't know about you but back at home in our world I think my family might be all over the place searching for me."

Well, isn't it obvious everyone's family will be like that? There is no saying what my family will be doing as well for searching me but I don't think we are going back anytime soon!

The night went by and I was still awake till dawn with Cho – Hee. The next morning, we left came downstairs to the Lobby to order some breakfast.

As we came downstairs soon after Emma and Sakura also woke up and came downstairs. I and the girls ate breakfast then got out of the Inn.

I asked the girls, "After registering as an adventurer, did you guys have anything in mind?"

Emma suddenly said "I do! I was thinking to explore some places."

Hearing that I think I'm not the only one who wants to know more about my surroundings.

We somehow reached the Adventurer guild after asking for direction only once. Adventurer Guild, it's one of the biggest buildings here and was almost in the center of the city which makes it easy to find.

After entering the atmosphere was completely different. There are so many people here.

I get to the reception desk and asked the receptionist for the procedure for new adventurer registration.

She replied, "Registration as an adventurer is easy, you guys just have to fill up a form it will also cost you guys two silver coins."

She brought forms for each of us. In forms we need to fill up our names, class, and our race.

I filled up my name, then my in my class for some reason I didn't want to use sage, so I wrote mage,

And as a fighting race, I decided to write Human instead of high human as it was in my status.

I submitted my form. As I gave my form to the receptionist, I looked that Cho – Hee was helping Sakura in filling up the form.

The receptionist asks us to wait for a few minutes as they process our adventurer cards. After a while, she came back with our adventurer cards.

She said "You guys will be starting as Rank F, after doing 10 requests you guys will be promoted to rank E. After Rank E you guys will be promoted according to your qualification. As you level up in Rank B you guys will be evaluated by dungeon raid test. Then the highest level of an adventurer will be Rank S."

Then she said, "You guys can choose request below your rank, your rank, and one rank higher than your rank. You guys can take requests from this city and after completion, you can use any branch of adventurer guild throughout different cities to collect your rewards. If you guys take can't complete any request of their given time you might have to pay penalty."

As we were almost done with registration, the receptionist pointed out one more thing, "you guys can sell any monsters corpses, and other materials we found in a dungeon or in different places."

It's good that it's simple. I think it will be handy to sell other stuff and materials at the same place once the request is being considered completed.

I and the girls went to the display board to check all missions for our rank that we can take on today!

There are really too many small requests and annoying ones for lower-rank adventurers. My gaze suddenly falls on an escorting mission.

I asked the girls to take this request. "It says, adventurers are requested to escort merchant to the capital. It doesn't need a required rank and the reward price is 10 silver coins."

Emma asks the reason for me suggesting this escorting request. I looked at her and said, "you know, we have to keep moving, and what would be a good way to reach capital than an escorting request."

Cho – Hee didn't ask any question, as if she knew all along I would be picking a request like this or searching for similar requests. Maybe she also knows how important it is to explore more places.

"Let's accept this request before the number of adventurers might exceed too much.", As I said this I heard someone from the back.

"Welcome, are you guys also accepting this escorting request as well?"
