What just happened? I did fall asleep as Cho – Hee said right? so, then what does this message supposed to mean?

What does the system want me to do???

"Allow me to explain!", A figure in a distance calling out from back in a gentle voice.

"Who is it? Show yourself?"

I turned back and looked at the strange figure as it slowly walks in front of me, the strange figure started to get clear.

"I'm Gaia, it's nice to meet you."

Gaia? A Goddess?

"I know it's a bit surprising to meet you in your system space.", Gaia gently smiles as she started to talk to me.

The way she looks at me it almost feels like she can see through me.

"Chuckle… It's because I can read your mind. Sorry for not telling you in advance."

What the f-?

*Ahem

"So, what are you? A goddess that can enter into people's dreams?"

"I believe you already know the answer to this question, and I did clear we are not in a dream."

Huh? I already know the answer?

Let's see, she is someone who can read my mind. She said earlier that we are in something like system space.

Wait, SYSTEM SPACE?

"System. Are you the system itself?"

"Correct but not entirely, It's not me but only just a part of me is the system and I think calling me system itself will be wrong."

What? That doesn't make any sense. at all.

Gaia walks in front of me standing closely. She suddenly holds my hand,

<YOU ARE BLOCKED FROM FURTHER ACCESS.>

Suddenly, all the system screens opened around me, and then a system notification opens as it blocked Gaia from accessing my system.

"As you can see system is something part of me, but I can't really access it myself. Remember no matter who you are, Humans, Elves, Dwarfs, Demons, or even God. There are some rules that you cannot break. The system is absolute."

Did the system block Gaia? Isn't the system is supposed the be a part of her?

This is getting more complicated, and I can't understand it now.

The system is absolute?

So, no one can access someone else's system even if it is Gaia herself?

Gaia leaves my hand and starts to walk back. As she stares at the endless nothingness,

"So, what does the system wants from me and why is it keep telling me to alter my body every time I interact with the system?"

As I questioned, Gaia sighed a bit. Turned around a bit and looked at me.

"What do you think of this world? Are you enjoying your stay here?"

Huh?

That's completely out of context. She just answered me with another question.

"Uh… I guess this world is great. This is a type of fantasy world that everyone wants to visit once in their lifetime."

"Looks like you are really trying to hold back and think less since you are aware that I might read your mind again. Well, I guess it's not your fault."

Gaia holds both of her in front of her as white light suddenly starts emitting from her hands.

*woosh… The darkness which was covering our eyes infinitely started to change into a greenfield.

The Trees, Clearwater springs, birds chirping and flying everywhere. I can even see all types of flowers on the ground all across the field.

An Illusion?

"Correct, this is just a replica, but don't you think this world is beautiful as much as your old world?"

What the...

She is not only just getting weird now but she is trying to hide something.

"What are you trying to say? I get that this world is beautiful but what's your catch here?"

Gaia turned around and looked into my eyes but unlike before, this time it doesn't feel like another play. She looks serious.

"Alvin, I Gaia as a goddess and a part of the system. On behalf of every person in this world, I want to ask you a favor. Please lend me your help so that I can protect this world."

"Why should I? I am not even from this world. My objective should only be getting back home. How about you tell me how to get back home?"

Hearing my answer, Gaia suddenly looks a bit down. Sadness clearly shows on her face but somehow, she seems aware that I wasn't going to help.

This is making me feel bad now…

Sighs… seeing this sad face of a goddess is bad in so many ways.

"First, tell me what you exactly mean by protecting this world and why me?"

"I created the system so that I can find the one who is able to ascend and is willing to help me but, in the end, I found no one. After a few hundreds of years, I knew no one is going to show up who is willing to get strong even with the help of the system."

Gaia pointed her finger at me and then says, "So, with the help of the system I began my search. If not from this world, then from another world."

So, it was her who summoned us into this world?

*System ping sound…

Gaia take out a blue-colored book and handed it over to me.

"Since, I don't have enough time left. I will be giving you this book, everything you want to know about is in here. Looks like this is our goodbye, for now, See you later!"

"Wait, I am not done ye---"

Ah… She already left.

Gaia vanished mysteriously just as how she appeared mysteriously. As I stared at the book in my hand, I suddenly felt nauseatic.

"What is this?"

"Good morning, Alvin! Did you sleep well?", My eyes opened, and the first thing I see is brown hair and brown eyes girl looking back at me closely.

"Oh, Good morning, Cho – Hee! I guess I slept well."

Cho – Hee stands back straight and walks towards the door.

"Let's go and have breakfast. Everyone is waiting downstairs in the lobby.", Cho – Hee opens the door and looked at me as she stepped outside.

"Yeah, you go on ahead. I am coming downstairs in a bit."

"Sure, but please hurry up!"

As Cho – Hee closes the door behind her, I can only think of the talk I had with Gaia. I checked my inventory, and it was there the blue book I got from Gaia.
