Garden of Roses

Moving away from the foyer to the kitchen Ace, Meicoomon and Hackmon sat at the big table on their own chairs while Rei making some tea.

"Do want something to drink?" She asked him while the orange haired boy looked around the kitchen then to her, "Anything is fine and its very homey inside here despise the outside is still looks like crap." He commented.

She chuckled a bit then she poured the light red water from pretty white teapot that made of porcelain with red flower pattern in the tea cups that has the same design as the tea pot and gave Ace, Meicoomon, Hackmon and herself. They thanked her then Ace blowed and sip the hot liquid he was suprised how fruity it was.

"This sure is the best tea I ever tasted in my life and has very fruity flavor that it pair well with the tarts that I eaten before!" The orange haired boy drank slowly the deliriouse tea then he remembered events at the his dorm kitchen before he got this strange large egg that it got out of his smartphone.

Ace stopped for a moment as he putted down the cup unaware that the Digitama seemed to glow brightly enough that Rei, Meicoomon and Hackmon noticed this then she also putted her tea cup down and crossed her arms to get in to the business while she still eyed at the Digitama.

"Now then could you tell me what happened when you got this Digitama in hands and why the sudden change that you wanted to live here now?" Rei asked him then pointed at the large stripped colored egg that got the orange haired boy curious and Ace looked down at his lap that he placed it.

"EHH? What's going on?! It was four hours ago now this egg getting to glow right now?" He yelled in panic.

"Calm down, calm down Ace. You gonna wake Grim up If you yelled this loudly and don't worry about your Digitama it's about to hatch very soon." She calmed him down then Rei sipped her tea when Ace going to explained to her.

"So it went like this..."

Ace sighed in exhausted and headed into the heartslabyul dorm's kitchen, "It's only the first day and I'm so tired~ I missed dinner, so I'm very hungry." He said while his stomach grumbled when the orange haired boy suddenly reveiced a unknown massage on his smartphone. "Mmm, what's this? An egg?" Ace looked at this strange stripped colored egg that he reveiced on his phone when suddenly his smartphone screen glowed. "What the *biep*!?" The orange haired boy swore when that Digitama appeared in front of him in real life that it came out of his smartphone floated and out of his instinct he hold the egg in his hand.

"So warm... I can't believe that it came out at my smartphone.." Ace muttered when his stomach grumbled again and held one hand on his stomach. "Uggh, food first.." then he eyed the large egg that he warped on his left arm and shaked his head. 'No this isn't food!'

As he came to the kitchen and opened the fridge seeing beautifully decorated tarts ranging from fruits to chocolate. "Wonder if there's anythin' in the fridge... Oh, found a tart! Looks delish~! There's a lot, so I'm not sure if I can finish it all ♪" He said to himself then Ace took a quick look at his Digitama while taking one of the tarts out of the fridge "To bad that you can't enjoyed it because your still in that egg shell~." Then grabed a plate, fork and knife and cut a slice and place it on his plate while the Digitama glowed faintly no that he noticed since Ace was focused on this delicious tart slice.

He grinned, "Thanks for the food~" The orange haired boy took a bite of this tart. "Whoa, what the heck?! It's so good!" He exclaimed happily from taking a bite from the tart.

Meanwhile a red haired boy wearing a small crown leaning on the right side of his head. His outfit consists of a white and red coat dress with the bottom being lined with a gold-colored fabric. The inside of the coat dress is entirely red and has a pattern consisting of tiny hearts, spades, diamonds, clovers, and crowns. As well as wearing white trousers. He crossed his arms and said, "Of course, it would be delicious. After all, anything that Trey makes is bound to be exquisite."

"Nah, man, this is something else! It's better than the ones at the shops...Wha– Prefect?!" Ace shouted, turning around choked seeing Riddle Rosehearts, Heartslabyul's dorm leader behind him.

Then Riddle recited, "Quite the boldness you have there for touching something that belongs to me. Queen of Hearts Rule #89: 'You shall not eat tarts prepared for the Queen ahead of her.' Larceny of the Queen's tarts is a capital crime! OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!" He exclaimed.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Ace screamed as a collar appeared around his neck and then he was kicked out of his dorm while he still hold the Digitama in his hand.

Concluding his story, "And that's what happened..." The messy haired boy said while Rei, Meicoomon and Hackmon looked at each other then back to him when suddenly the Digitama cracked and glowed so brightly so it can see from outside as everyone covered their own eyes for protecting there own eyesight.

When the light dimmed down a small black blop with yellow eyes hatched from the Digitama and sniffed at Ace's hands that he holded it then they looked at each other. Rei clapped her hands a bit, "Congrats! Your Digitama hatched into a Botamon! Now your a Tamer just like me!"

The orange haired boy looked at her, "Digitama? Tamer? Please can you explain to me what just happened right now!" As the black blop digimon bubbled from its mouth which Ace nearly coed but wanted his cool so he chose not to do it when Meicoomon handed to her Tamer an old scetch book which Rei flipped from her old wax crayon drawings and showed to him a an egg which is nearly similar to him before it hatched from a strange black blop monster baby which Ace assumed that the monster is a baby now.

"A Digitama or Digiegg which is also referred as Level Zero, are eggs from which all Digimon are born from; They are the beginning and the end all Digimon." She explained where the Digimon orginated from then she flipped another page with the same black blop monster which is on his head and continued to bubble.

"Ah, that's you ehh Botamon right?" The orange haired boy putted the baby digimon down on the table because he was afraid it would fell down from his head and cried for getting hurt. Rei nodded at him as she continued, "Botamon is now from the Baby I stage generally it would rely on Adult Digimon or humans to survive."

Ace raised his hand a bit. "What would happen if they don't rely on Digimon or humans?"

She flipped another page which was a human child with googles and a orange lizard digimon that he regonized back from the mines,

"They would die." She said bluntly to him which he flinched and looked back at his fresh hatched digimon that it bumped lightly at his hand. Rei handed him a bottle of warm milk which Ace thanked her and the baby digimon happily sucked the milk from its bottle as the black haired Tamer continued to explained to him.

"A Tamer is a generic term that refered to any human who partnered with a Digimon partner. They often possess a form of digivice or in some cases as you, Ace and me don't have such a small device that is a form of baby phone.

Sure I had one before but is now upgraded into this form. The most common rule are that Tamers partnered with one Digimon however its uncommon if they partnered with multipile Digimon just like me and its also common that for children and early teens reveiced their digimon." Rei gluped her tea down for this long explanation and the orange haired boy understood what Tamers are in general and then asked her.

"How many Digimon lived here though and by stage is this like Botamon is going to evolve or something like that?" He eyed at the small white dragon digimon and wondered if its common thing that in the digital world that many dragon digimons lived here thought. 'That would be so cool..'

Rei answered him, "I have twenty-three digimon here that came along with me and yes Botamon is going to evolved quickly to the thanks that you became Tamer. It doesn't matter to me if are going to be a good or bad Tamer because in digital world is a common thing here as long you take good care of your Digimon of yours and also they having a black hole when they hungry.

So for the best I am try to installed an small digital space in your phone including the meat field, yes Ace you heard me growing meat on a field is common in our world and if its not we trying our best to grow here in this world to." That made him gaped at her how many digimon is going to live here in this dorm and how strange the digital world actually is then she was going to asked him.

"So, the reason why you are here is because you ate a tart and your dorm leader kicked you out because of that with this collar on your neck that sealed your magic now your here." Rei summarized on why the orange haired boy wanted to stay in this dorm and he nodded.

Meicoomon and Hackmon looked deadpanned at, "You've only got yourself to blame." they both stated which Ace spurtled then argue them and Botamon imitated him like a baby it are.

"But ain't it overreacting to seal my magic just because I ate his tart?! It's practically the same as tying my hands and my feet! Plus, there were three whole ones! He can't possibly finish all of those! There's a limit to how heartless he can be!"

Rei scratches her nose a little bit and thought about it, "This sure is a little overboarded to sealed your magic because of that even you said its like your hands and feets. Its really is a common thing here to use magic here, huh."

"Yep, it is common here and I'm glad that you agreed with me!" Ace exclaimed.

"But eating someone else food would even Digimons causing havoc because of that, did you ever thinking that those tarts you eaten before might have prepared for a big party or smoething like that?" Meicoomon asked that earned a head pats from her beloved Tamer and Hackmon nodded in agree.

Ace sighed, "Uh... I came here thinking that you'd agree with me about the Prefect being a little tyrant..." He replied.

Rei twitched her left eye when he said 'little tyrant' to his own Prefect and poured with tea with her own cup along with the other cups which they thanked her again. "I do think you should a least apologize to him anyway and please I have a feeling that if he heard those words your dorm leader would do something worse than that." She warned him and also encouraged Ace to apologized his own dorm leader which he scratches his head a little also his Digimon hopped at his shoulders.

"If you said so but you better have to come with me, Prefect..." He told to the black haired girl.

"Mmm, sure I have nothing to do besides I have a gig tomorrow at the Mostro Lounge Café." Rei said when she looked at her phone, 'Mmm I wonder what song should I sing for the audience.'

Ace looked her excited, "Cool but in meantime where can I sleep with Botamon?" While he crossing his arms and hold the black blop digimon.

'If she is going to sing tomorrow at the school café I should come along to~.' He thought as he remembered the sad song that she sung before at the Main Street and wondering which song she would sing tomorrow.

"Ah, then there is a free rooms here you can't choose and the Digimons are pretty loud when they snorred so I hope it doesn't annoyed you to much." Rei said to him while he jumped in joy.

"Sweet, thank you that you let us stay here!" He then went one of the free rooms to sleep which Rei, Meicoomon and Hackmon chuckled at him.

"I believe we should sleep a bit to." Said Hackmon which the black haired tamer and Meicoomon agree with him.

At the next early morning. Rei, Meicoomon and Grim woked very early despite the fact she and her partner getting little sleep last night. They had to prepare for their first school days as the black haired Tamer changed her pyjamas into the brand new female uniform that Crewel made it for her and she wore a yellow pastel apron when Rei cooked for their breakfast and lunch box in the kitchen.

Meicoomon and Grim interacted with each other as they helped her.

"EH!? Ace is staying over here?!" Grim said in shock while the two nodded at him meanwhile Ace woked up along with his Digimon and the boy looked at his partner and saw that he changed into bigger pink blop with ruby red eyes by a harsh bang from the from door.

They both getting down and and frowned at the harsh bang from the front door that it disturpted there sleep. "What the, who the hell's pounding on the door so early in the morning? Got it, got it! I'll open the door, so don't break it!" They shouted that made Ace suprised that his digimon can speak now then walking over to the foyer and opened the door to see Deuce standing outside the dorm while hold also a pink blop digimon the same as his.

"I knew I'd find you here." The dark blue hair boy said.

Ace muttered out, "D-Deuce... You to also got an Digitama and hatched in to Botamon to?"

Then the navy haired boy also eyed at Ace's Digimon and looked at his. "You to, huh."

They nodded at each other when the orange haired boy explained to him what Rei told a bit about her world and Deuce looked at his Digimon, "To think I also became Tamer like Rei... I wonder what is it like in the digital world..." He questioned loudly and Ace agreed with him.

"Koromon doesn't know much about the digital world because Koromon hatched at this world and Koromon is happy that Ace/Deuce is going to be your Digimon partner." The both Digimon one at each guys hold said at the same time which they suprised at the fact.

Then the navy haired boy can't not handle by the cuteness of his Digimon that it or he called is own name but he handed a bag to Ace then they started to fight again.

"I heard about the situation from our dormmates. You ate the Prefect's tart, so now you've got that collar on, haven't you? You're an outright idiot." Deuce insulted the boy.

The orange haired boy narrowed his eyes at dark blue haired boy, "Shut it! I don't wanna hear that from you! So... Is the Prefect still mad at me...?" He asked.

"Not completely. He's in an irritated mood and about three people who didn't follow the waking up routine suffered the same fate as you." Replied the spade mark boy with his hand placed on his chin.

"Not completely, my ass! He's totally mad!" Exclaimed Ace.

Deuce sighed, "In any case we should go." He said.

"Ah let's go wake Prefect up then. She promised to come with me to apologize to the Dorm Leader." Ace told the boy. Deuce nodded and entered the foyer while Ace closed the door.

Until their noses caught a delicious aroma as they followed the smell through the hallway. They stood in front of the middle door and opened it to see the kitchen. Rei wasn't aware that they came at the kitchen as she was focused to placed her egg sandwich on the lunch boxes for Meicoomon, Grim, Ace and of course for herself. They also saw bunch of varity of breakfast that she made at the table and both Koromon's glowed their red eyes as they also see the heavens that Rei made.

"Wooah!" They both said in amazed and panic when their Digimon hopped at the heavenly breakfast and started to eat. Then suddenly Meicoomon halted them, "Alright two Koromon's your must wait for the others and then can started to eat, capiche!?"

The Koromon's looked sadly and Rei started to turned around as she finished closed the lid at the boxes.

"Morning Ace. Oh Deuce is here. Morning to you too." The black haired girl greeted them and also eyed at Deuce's Digimon and looked the orange haired boy that his eyes told her that Ace explained to him when they are at the front door before.

"This place looks so different!" Deuce said while he looked around at the new kitchen. A smile played at her lips when she removed her apron that made them eyed her when they saw her with her uniform. "Sure it does, its thanks to the digimon that they came along with me." Rei said proudly.

"Is that so..." They both said and looked at each other then looked away that they both eyed at their Digimon's.

Ace asked her, "Say Rei can you tell me about Koromon a bit please?" They both looked curioused what their Digimon going to evolve into and they also hope it's not their same line even though they both got the same baby digimon.

"Sure, Ah Deuce have you eaten yet?" Rei asked to the navy haired boy which he shaked his head, "Then you can eat with us and Meicoomon? Can you bring the other Digimon's to get down to eat their breakfast along us that made me easier to explained to them what their Digimon evolved into in the near future?" She said to her Digimon partner wich Meicoomon nodded and jumped down then get all Digimon's to the kitchen as the boys satted on their chair for wait her Digimon's.

When five minutes later the orange cat digimon came back with many digimon of her trail which shocked the navy haired boy how many they are and Ace got told how many she brought along with but it still amazed him. They both regonized the other two digimon that they fought together back at the Dwarf's Mine and Ace saw the small white dragon with a red cape again.

The Digimons introduced themselve to them wich they do the same thing then they took a bite at the food she made and they moaned. "Oh man, this better than the cafeteria food~." Ace moaned at the food which Deuce noded at him in agree, "Rei since you spoiled our mouth that much can I moved here and eat your food every day please?" Then both of them glared at each other

Which she laughed then Grim said to them, "Hand's off humans! If you really wanna live here then pay up!"

"Oh really? What would you then?" Ace mocked the grey cat. Rei holded them off, "Now then since you guys wanna know if the Koromon evolved into then its easy to say they mostly evolved into Dragon's Roar family or field which you liked to call with and they have not the same evolution line despite the fact that they are turned into Koromons. So I can't not what they can evolved into but I set you guy as a asemble to my digimon." The boys focused what she going to explained to them as Rei pointed at her digimon that they are most lizards and dragon Digimons.

"So Saber, Break both are Dracomons, Sigurd, Fafnir are Guilmon, Gaomon, Lalamon, the Agumons and Hackmon came from the Koromon line but its possible that they going to evolve into a different kind than mine. So they also can evolve in those that in my team or some other rare digimon that's job of the Tamers to help them to get strong since they are infuluence to your emotion or your energy."

The boys holded their own Koromons and looked amazed at her explanation what the key is to get them evolve.

"Alright Ruby as long you have this nickname make sure we going evolve further!" Exclaimed Ace to his Digimon which he was happy that Ace's Koromon has a nickname that he named him Ruby.

The navy haired boy sighed and looked at his digimon, "I guessed I named you Jaze then is that ok for you Koromon?" Which the pink blop with eyes jumped happily over its new nickname.

After they finished their breakfast they all helped clean their bowls and utensils even though the space was a bit small for them to help them. Rei placed her lunchbox to her bag then twenty digimon wanted to tag along to which she tapped at her digivice and they got sucked in except Meicoomon since she decided that she wanted to get outside more with Rei and climbed at her right shoulder and Grim to the left shoulder. They all headed to the school while Rei made sure that Palmon and Lalamon that they have to take care of the dorm.

The group made their way through the Main Street. Ace and Deuce glared at the boys for staring and whispered perverted things about Rei. Grim with a smug grin on his face while Meicoomon pretend to be a plush toy on her shoulder, "Hey! Make way, make way! I, a full-fledged Night Raven College student, is passing through! Look at my collar! My collar is totally awesome compared to yours! And you can't use your magic now, can you? Guess I can have you cleaning the schools as part of your chores or something? Nyaha, this feels so good!" He said while the other students stared at them surprised.

"Oh come on Grim would like to stop it please? I feel sorry for him right now." Rei said to him while he grumbled.

Ace grumbles while Ruby sat in his Tamers head, "You better remember this when I get my magic back!" Then turned to Rei and grinned at her. "Thanks Prefect!"

"In any case, you won't be able to attend classes since your magic has been sealed. How about you go and apologize to Prefect Roseheart so he can take that off?" Asked Deuce.

The dark orange haired boy scratched the back of his head in annoyance, "Damn it...! I still ain't convinced...!!" He stated.

"We still have time before the next class. Plus, I'm interested in the other dorms. Let's go observe while we watch Ace apologize." Grim said with a smile which Rei and Meicoomon nodded in agree since they are also curious about the other dorms.

They all headed to the Mirror Chamber, and went to the Heartslabyul dorm mirror.

Stepping through it, Grim, Rei and Meicoomon were in awe of Ace and Deuce's dormitory. Seeing the beautiful rose maze, along with the building colored in red, white and black aesthetic and a water fountain in front of it.

"That would like Palmon and Lalamon liked to there though... Our garden is still in progress but still it has its charm compared to our own garden." Meicoomon commented while every digimon agreed with her along with their Tamer that made the boys curiouse about her world.

Grim also commented, "Whoa~! This is super fancy! It's completely different from our dorm but I like ours better!"

Ace and Deuce agreed with him since her dorm feels like home compared to they're own dorm. They both felt like a prison here that has no free choices.

The group entered through the rose maze. Seeing some of the roses were white while the rest were painted in red. Also seeing red foot prints and knocked down red paint can along with red puddles on the grass.

"Oh, no. I gotta hurry and paint these roses red." A voice said.

"Oh, someone's over there." Grim pointed out as they walked towards the person with orange hair.

"Whoa there~ If there are some left unpainted, it's off with my head." He said.

'He's saying the exact same thing in that dream I had last night... Is feels like déva vu?'Rei thought while she narrowed her eyes. The man finally noticed them, "Hm? Did you guys need something?" He asked while he looked at strange plush toys that the two heartslabyul has. 'That sure is a strange plush animal...' He thought about it while he still smiles that Rei noticed strange.

"What're you doing?" Ace asked back.

The orange haired male pointed with his magic pen at the rose tree, "This? As you can see, I'm painting the roses red." He answered.

The black haired Tamer noticed his features as the top portion of his hair was tied back into a ponytail while the rest hung straight. His eyes are green. Under his left eye, he has a small red patch shaped like a diamond.

"Eh!? Why do such a thing?" Deuce asked with a shocked expression along with Ace.

The orange hair boy chuckled, "Hm~ Your reactions are so fresh it's kinda cute~! Now that I look at you closely, you guys are the freshies who totally wrecked the 10mil chandelier and caused a ruckus yesterday." He stated.

Ace and Deuce looked down in shame, "I feel like they won't let that chandelier thing go until we graduate..." the dark orange haired boy muttered.

Taking a good look at Ace, "And you're the super sinful kid who stole the Prefect's tart! I'm so lucky to meet the rumored freshies so early in the morning~♪ Hey, hey~! Let's take a pic together! Yay~! Hey, can I upload this? I wanna put hashtags so tell me your name." The orange haired boy told them while snapping a picture of them along with Rei, Meicoomon and Grim from his phone that was inside a red diamond and white case.

The female Tamer and Meicoomon blinked then they felt uncomfortable that he snapped pictures at them without premission that's ok with them.

"I'm Deuce Spade."

"Ace."

"I'm Grim and those are my human Rei."

Cater quickly typing on his phone and pressed the share button on the screen, "Alright, upload done~♪ Oh, I'm Cater Diamond, a 3rd year. That makes me your senior~ Call me Cater-kun, okay? Cate's fine, too~♡ Heya, heya~" He said with a peppy tone holding a peace sign.

"It's nice to meet you, Cater." Rei said without smile.

Cater glanced at her, still smiling, taking a step closer to the girl with her Digimon partner sitting on her right shoulder. "Oh, you're the cute girl with mysterious powers that the mirror not know of. You walked through flames and helped Riddle-kun and Octivanelle's prefect catch that cat monster from burning the entire school down from what I heard and commanded the firsties at ease! Now taking a good look at you, you're way cuter in person! Oh even your meicoon cat plush is really adorable. Which makes you mega cute! And now you're the new prefect for Ramshackle Dorm! I'm surprised you can live in a place like that~! It's so dark, and I feel like something's gonna pop out~ I feel for ya, cutie~" He said 'cheerfully' that made the black haired Tamer nearly barfed how fake he is.

"This guy's being pretty rude." Grim commented.

Cater then suggested, "Ne ne, let's take a quick pic together!"

"A-Ah uuh no thanks?" Rei answered deadpanned. Cater pouted at her. "I really don't like to be photographed with someone that I don't really know and I hope you don't take it offence because of that, Cater" She said to his senior that he understood it made her uncomfortable. 'though she really is a cutie", He thought as he continued to smiled.

"That's ok Rei-chan~" Cater cooed her.

Cater finished uploading the photo, "And done! Oh, I shouldn't be standing here and talking! The party's the day after tomorrow. It's off with my head if I'm late. Hey, hey, freshies~ Can you help me with painting the flowers?" He asked the group.

"Eh? Why?" Rei asked, tilting her head at him.

Ace crossed his arms, "Why're you doing something so strange?" He questioned.

"I mean, won't it be more photogenic if the roses were red for the party~? I'm really busy because I'm also in charge of coloring the flamingos for the croquet match~" Cater responded.

Grim's eyes widen, "Dyeing the flamingos?! That's a pretty weird job." He stated wich Rei, Meicoomon and every Digimon agreed with that.

"So, the tarts that Ace ate were to be used for the Prefect's birthday party? I see now. So that's why he was so mad..." Deuce crossing his arms.

Which then Cater corrects him, "What? That's not it."

Shocking all of them, "It ain't?! Then whose birthday is it?" Ace asked.

"It's no one's birthday. The day after tomorrow is our Dorm's legendary [Unbirthday Party]. It's a tea party that the Prefect felt like doing, so he chose a day that doesn't fall on anyone's birthday." Replied Cater.

Ace exclaimed, "The hell's that!?"

"In any case, the reasons can wait! You just have to help me paint the roses! Deuce-chan, Grim-chan and Rei-chan can use magic, right? Ace-chan can't use magic, so here's a paintbrush~" Cater said while handing him paintbrushe.

Deuce with a confused expression, "Ch-change the colors with magic, you mean...?" He asked the senior.

"I haven't done anything like that before, yanno." Stated Grim while crossing his arms.

Rei nodded in agreement, "It's my first time that I used magic and I hope I don't fail with that."

"It's okay, relax~! We'll manage! We better hurry before the Prefect punishes us~" Cater reassures them.

Cater then instructed everyone, "Alright, let's hurry and paint the roses red~! Not pink, not green, got it? I'm counting on you to paint it a pretty red!"

"Geez, guess we can't say no... We just have to get this over with, right?" Ace asked with a sigh.

"Pretty much." Rei said while she focused with her magic staff and thinking the color red that when the white roses turned into red roses.

Cater praised her, "Good, good consired its your first time you make it good Rei-chan~!"

While Deuce declared, "I don't know if we can give satisfactory results, but I will do my best!"

Grim grinned, "Something like this is easy for someone like me! You do your best, too, got it!"

As everyone got to work, Why paint them red? It's already pretty as white. Also why go through the trouble to paint them when they could've just planted red ones. What an odd world this is. Rei thought while she practised her magic. Then looking back at Deuce and Grim also successfully turning the once white rose to red.

"It looks like it's going well." Deuce said.

As Grim was about to do another, "Alright, I'll end this all in one move! Wha–!?" He exclaimed, shocked to see the rest of the white flowers already painted by both Rei and Cater.

"Ooh nice Rei-chan! You pick things up quick despite the fact for your first time using magic! This is how it's done, watch~!" Cater exclaimed which she nodded.

Ace looked at Cater with amazement, "Th-third years are amazing...!"

While he going to the next rose tree painting it red.

Cater cheered, "Alrighty, let's try again~ ♪"

Everyone continued to paint the roses red, "Behold! I made them all red this time!" Announced Grim.

"Me, too." Said Deuce while Rei continued to paint the next two white rose trees red.

Cater smiled at them, "Amazing~! Just a little more practice and it'll be perfect~♪

It will be better if you imagine a red rose while you're casting your magic." He told them.

Deuce mutters, "I see. Red roses, red roses..." as he visualizes with his eyes closed.

Ace sighed, "I wanna do magic, too!!" He exclaimed.

Ruby looked at his Tamer that he felt really useless without his magic as he looked at those who can used magic.

Rei continued painting with her magic and felt bad for the orange haired boy.

"Oh! Good job Rei-chan. You paint them really well!" Praised Cater seeing as she finished quicker than Ace.

The black haired Tamer continued painting with her magic to the next white rose bushes into red while the messy dark orange haired boy grumbles that made his Digimon partner worry about him.

"Red, red... There! AH!! It turned blue!" Exclaimed Deuce which Jaze glowered his eyes how many sparky colored things that his Tamer going to make.

"You will change colors~~~~! Go! AHHHH!!! I set them on fire!" Screamed Grim in frustrated.

"You guys..." Rei sighed helping them out and turned back the roses red and trying to created a ball of water at the flaming rose trees putting the fire out.

"Ooh nice Rei-chan!" Cater praised her again. He then turned to the dark blue haired boy and cat, "You're a lot worse than I thought you'd be~" He stated.

Ace asked the senior student, "Why can't the roses stay white? They're pretty."

"Exactly can't you plant red rose trees instead?" The black haired Tamer asked.

Cater then replied, "This is all part of tradition, okay? The roses for the Unbirthday Party should be red! And it's been decided that the bat for the croquet match is a 7-colored flamingo, and the balls will be hedgehogs. Oh, but for the flower concert during spring, the roses should be white. This is all important, so remember them~" He told Ace and Deuce.

"Nothing but weird rules!" Commented Grim while crossing his arms as Rei, Meicoomon and every digimon nodded in agreement.

Cater begins to explain, "This is a rule decided by the Queen of Hearts, one of the Great Seven, after all. Riddle-kun's a pretty straight-laced Prefect who protects the Queen's rules to a T, got it~? Well, I do admit he goes overboard sometimes..."

"Oh, that's right. I don't have the time to be standing here. I got something to discuss with the Dorm Head. Is he still inside?" Ace asked the orange haired man.

Cater placed his hands on his hips, "Hm? I think he should still be there...By the way, Acey who stole the Prefect's tart~ Have you brought some tarts to make up for what you took~?" He questioned back.

Ace's eyes widen, "Eh? I came straight here, so I got nothing..." He replied.

"But anyways since you didn't bring a tart as an apology... Then, since Rule #53 of the Queen of Hearts states that 'You have to replace things that you stole.' I can't let you back in the dorm." He told the junior.

The orange haired boy exclaimed in astonishment, "Huh?! What the heck?!"

"You have to follow the rules if you're staying in this dorm. If I let it slide, then it's off with my head, too~ Sorry, but I'll have you leave before Riddle-kun notices." Cater stated with a serious expression.

Ace turned to his friends, "Wha—He looks totally serious...! You guys, do something!" He pleaded.

"Why me?!" Exclaimed a shocked Deuce while Rei and Grim shook their heads.

"I'm begging you! I can't use magic right now–! Ah, here he comes!" Shouted Ace in fear and out Ruby's instinct he wanted to help his tamer of course.

Then the black haired Tamer stepped in before the Baby II do something worse, "Cater-senpai, we have class soon and I would like for them to not be injured. And get questioned by the teachers why they're roughed up. Can you just walk us back to the front of the dorms and we'll show our way out." Rei asked when her hair and eyes changed again but her pupils turned into a cross like Meicoomon's eyes.

Looking at the girl in fear, Cater put his pen away and smiled back, "Of course anything for a pretty girl like you!" He replied that Carter don't wanted her angry at him that she suddenly changed her mood, making the boys shocked at how his expression changed. She turned to normal and Meicoomon looked very worried at her behaviour.

Then they started walking out of the maze.

"Guys let's go!" Grim called from Haruna's shoulders making the boys come back to reality. Jealousy raged in both of them but tried to shake the feeling off since she was their friend.

Once they were out of the maze, the senior looked at the glaring boys more specifically at Ace, "Alrighty~ Come back when you've got a tart~♪ Bye-bye~!" He said walking back into the maze.

Back at the entrance where the group of 1st years stood. "What's with that guy?" Ace asked.

"Dunno but I was curious what type of magic he was going to cast." Rei replied with Meicoomon and Grim nodding in agreement.

Ace frowned, "I can't get back in without a tart, right? I've been empty-handed since forever, man. He kicked us out after he made us help with the flowers, too!" He stated with an annoyed expression then looked at the female Tamer in curioused. "Say why did you hair and eyes changed back then? This doesn't looked like healthy what you did its almost like... No I don't this is really That!"

Rei shrugged at him and said nothing about herself while Meicoomon also said nothing.

Grim sighed while crossing his arms, "I'm disappointed."

"Then, we'll have to prepare some tarts to make up for it. After school would be—Ah!!!! This is bad!!!!" Exclaimed Deuce making everyone shocked.

Rei looked at him but quickly realized, "We're late! I can't believe from my first time I go to school I am going to be late!"

Deuce's eyes widen "This is bad, it's way past call time! We're going to be late!" He stated.

"Uwah! The first day of my shining school life will be tarnished! Let's hurry to the classroom!" Grim shouted.

"Grim don't say it twice." The black haired Tamer said the cat.

Before anyone could move, "Speaking of, what's your class? You're a 1st year, right?" Ace asked the trio.

"The Headmaster said we're in Class 1-A!" Grim replied with Rei and Meicoomon nodding.

"Oh, then we're in the same class. First period is all about Magical Alchemy." Deuce said while Rei linked her left arm with his right. The dark blue hair boy looked at her with a flustered expression while Jaze looked curioused at his Tamer why he is going to be red.

"Yahoo! That sounds fun!" Grim cheered.

"Grim..."

"Sorry."

Ace sighed, "I can't use magic, remember? Am I gonna be okay...?" He questioned only to feel the girl linking her right arm with his left. Looking at the girl oddly why she linked her arms with them but a light coat of pink paints his cheeks and also Ruby try to encouraged him by bounced up and down to his head.

"Jeez, Ruby..." He smiled weakly up to Ruby while he grinned down at him.

"You'll be fine. I haven't know that I had magic in me. So let's go!" Said Rei as they ran all out of Heartslabyul dormitory to the front of the Alchemy Classroom.
