Chapter 17: Battle Outcome

The heat of the first battle was quiet high, All the crowds makes a despise look on Ray team. Miguel on his seat grit his teeth and then leave the nobles. he going to Ray and his friends place.

While Miguel is on is way, Ray saw him and start to look gloomier than before, It can't be help he got attacked directly to his mental, He just try to calm himself by closing his eye.

"Ray"

Miguel finally arrived, He directly call Ray afrer he arrived, Ray look at him and start to apologise but Miguel stop him because he know that Ray is not that kind of people who will use everything to win.

"Ray, Ryo, Zed, Make sure you crush the trio on next round let's show them the true power of Claude Academy!."

Must be hard for Miguel he clench his fist tightly, The three of them understand and they will use everything that they train two weeks before the match.

"Ok on the next match we wil be having a tower defend type battle"

On this battle each team has crystal like boulder that they must protect, The goals of this battle are which team destroy their enemy team crystal will be declare as the winner. The contestants can use anything to win except enhancer amulet or mark that content a secretive power.

"Make sure the other team doesn't cheat again hahaha"

"Yeah you must inspect them first who knows"

The crowds want the announcer to inspect Ray's team, She can do anything but to call the judge to inspect Ray and his friends. As the judge approaching Ray's team he felt a cold and murderous glare.

The judge try to identify where that murderous intent come from, But after finding out that Miguel is the one who glaring at him he understand if he try to sabotage Ray's team Miguel surely will charge towards him and possibly kill him.

So the judge won't do anything stupid and started to inspect Ray and his team. After he done inspecting he declare that Ray's team are free from any kind of mark and enhancer amulet.

The judge become sweaty after the inspection, He never felt that murderous glare before. He really made a great decision by not trying to sabotage Ray and his friends again.

"Okay now the two member from each team will be reveal, From our warrior Jaz and Rock!"

All the crowds cheering for their warrior, Of course after Zed and Ryo name were anounced the crowds didn't even clap their hand. It's so frustrating but they must keep their cool. They must not lose control over a small thing.

"Alright boys you know the rule right so we can start now!"

'Woaaaaaah'

Attacker from the human warrior are Rock and Wade while on the Claude academy team are Ryo and Ray. They started to charge and then finally start to exchange blows after they reach the middle of the arena.

Ray facing Wade once again and Ryo will go against Rock, For the defender on the human warrior it is Jaz and on the Claude Academy it's Zed. The exchange between Ray and Wade are the most heated duel so far.

"Huh no wonder why you can move that fast cheater hahaha"

"I don't know what are you talking about I use nothing but the judge was putting something on my blade"

"Huh cheater"

"I can show you my skill if you want"

Their exchange was even, But on the other side Ryo was having a hard time dealing with Rock because Rock is using a long sword and Ryo only use the claw. That means he need to get closer to strike down his opponent.

'Cih, What a pain I can't close my distant to take him down'

Just when Ryo want attack, Rock immediately anticipate his movement and prevent him from entering his zone. Ryo need to close the gap between them and stike Rock with a powerful slash.

Zed who is defending the crystal try to help Ryo by throwing some magic blast towards Rock but his move got anticipate by Jaz.

"Oh no you don't"

"Tch"

Meanwhile the battle between Ray and Wade is too intense, Even Miguel can't take his eye off from Ray. He wanted to witness this battle until the end.

"Is this all you got cheater? Then let me show you my technique"

Wade retreat and it seems like he is increasing his focus, But Ray also concentrating it seems he is also gonna strike.

"Take this thousand sword thrust!"

Wade thrust his sword in an unbelievable speed but Ray grin he knows his specialty so he took advantage and copy wade technique.

"Thousand sword thrust improved version! You're done"

Ray successfully parry all Wade attack and that's not all, He also take the offense now and make Wade retreat.

"Impossible! This is my skill when did you learn it!?"

"Well I just follow my instinct"

Wade face crumple, He still can't believe what he seeing right now a mere Zombie copy his skill.

"Tch if that's the case I will use my trump card so get ready"

While defending Ray's attack Wade take a deep breath, Ray felt something about to happen so he raise his guard up.

"Sword sovereignty"

Wade trump card has been use, He become more focus Ray's skill doesn't hit Wade at all. Ray stop his technique and go for a close combat battle.

But his attack isn't connecting at all, Instead his attack got counter by Wade one by one. Blood starting to drop from Ray's body.

"I see it is indeed a powerful technique"

Ray step back to distant himself from Wade but Wade doesn't allow him to do that he chase Ray and striking him at the same time. Some of the strikes are connecting.

'Analysis completed, So that's how you do it then it's time to turn the table'

"Sword sovereignty"

Now they're on a par right now, Striking countering at the same time. The crowds got impress by Ray performance and started to cheer him.

'Impossible how did he learn my tecnique!?'

That was Wade's thought, He can't hold it anymore and started to charge towards Ray without consideration that Ray might counter him. Ray on the other hand didn't falter and start to go on offense as well.

Meanwhle Zed are trading magic blast with Jaz, He can't help Ryo because he's been hindered by Jaz. But he got his own trump card and for now he can't do it because he must make his opponent drop his guard.

"Well I have a plan and I hope he fall for it"

"Blood clone"

Zed use his own blood to create a clone of himself just to distract Jaz and it works. Jaz who didn't saw that coming started to chase Zed's clone and there is where he got trap.

"Blood prison"

The skill has been activated Zed caught his opponent in his Blood prison, If the opponent can't escape for period of time he will suffocate.But for now his concern is Ryo, Ryo didn't manage to land a single blow to his opponent.

'Well it's time to show my skill'

"Ultimate footwork"

Rock falter for a second, He realise that Ryo has been entering his zone, He must do something to prevent Ryo to abuse his zone but it's too late Ryo skill allow him to perfectly dodge and then strike at the same time.

"It's done"

Ryo slash Rock and manage to take him down and next is Ray and then Zed. They win the match, But they're also tired, They can only cheer for themselves because the crowds won't cheer for them.

But this time the crowds acknowledge them and started to give them an applause. Miguel immediately leave the room and congratulate his student, The match finally over and they can rest for now.
