Do You Even Have The Ability?

Ikuya was feeling quite awkward. He expected quite some questioning from Xia Qingyue, but till now, she hasn't even uttered a word.

" Do you always stay here or do you stay outside? I didn't get to see you earlier." Ikuya said to dispel the awkward atmosphere between him and Xia Qingyue.

Xia Qingyue did not reply and simply continued to walk.

" Are you always this cold to others?" Ikuya asked again.

As cold as before, Xia Qingyue did not reply.

Ikuya did not bother saying anything anymore. He was not desperate anyway. All he wanted was to dispel the awkward air around them.

' She only a little older than twelve. So she should've only started to cultivate the techniques of Frozen Cloud Asgard and seeing that her cultivation is still that of Elementary Profound Realm. how could she already have such a cold personality?' Ikuya wondered as from what he knew from the original novel, Xia Qingyue's cold and indifferent personality was the result of her cultivating the 'Frozen Heart Arts'. But it seems the reality is different from the novel.

Not that Ikuya was going to rely on the knowledge from the novel. The incident with the unknown remnant of a 'god' and the huge mass of Purple Veined Divine Crystal and the 'Devil Lightning' proved that there are many things in this world that is not told in the original novel.

Ikuya looked at the otherworldly beautiful young girl walking in front of him.

Her body resembled that of a fourteen years old girl and her curves were also a bit more developed than other girls of the same age.

The sight of her leading the way, her perfectly round buttocks was fascinating as Ikuya slightly smiled and appreciated the view as he followed her.

Soon, they reached a wide room which had a big round table and around them sat two men. One old and one young.

They were Xia Hongyi and Xia Yuanba.

" Welcome, Mr. Ikuya. I hope you enjoyed your sleep." Xia Hongyi calmly smiled as he greeted Ikuya and at the same time, he gently nodded to Xia Qingyue in affirmation.

When Ikuya used mind control on Xia Hongyi, Xia Yuanba, Xiao Che and Doctor Situ, he had erased their memories of the fact that he has no profound veins and the fact that he was ever injured. He implanted a memory of him saving Xia Hongyi from a group of bandits in his last merchant travel and the memory of Ikuya possessing decent strength. Now, Xia Yuanba doesn't know Ikuya as he had permanently erased the fat kid's memory of him.

Xia Qingyue took a seat and closed her eyes as she thought, ' So his name is Ikuya..... What a strange name. Hmph! A shady name as well.'

Ikuya didn't know why, but he suddenly felt the urge to smack Xia Qingyue's head.

" Oh? Yeah. I did get a decent sleep, though my head is still aching." Ikuya replied with a casual tone as he looked at the contents in the dining table.

The food that he had in front of him was quite various and rich in flavours and tastes, totally different from the food on Earth. The rich fragrance of the dishes were definitely mouth watering. The amount was quite a lot considering that only three people were supposed to dine here.

Ikuya wondered whether Xia Hongyi managed to predict his 'Saiyan Appetite', but after seeing the hungry and impatient look on Xia Yuanba's face, it was pretty obvious that more than 90% of the food on the large table was meant for Xia Yuanba.

Xia Yuanba was sneakily taking glances at Ikuya, then started in indulge himself in eating.

" Please sit and enjoy the food. We can talk later." Xia Hongyi said.

Ikuya nodded and took a seat which just happened to be in the middle of Xia Qingyue and Xia Yuanba, directly opposite to the position of Xia Hongyi.

" Itadakimasu."

Ikuya casually retrieved a clean plate and used a knife to carve a large chunk of meat of the roasted pork for himself.

Xia Qingyue also started to eat slowly and gracefully and it was a very beautiful scene to watch. Unfortunately, only her father, Xia Hongyi was paying attention to this as her brother and the stranger Ikuya were completely focused on the food before them.

Xia Hongyi was watching them eat with a gentle smile as he looked at Ikuya with curiosity. But that smile was wiped off from his face replaced with an expression of disbelief.

Ikuya was gorging himself with the dishes without any restraints at a rate that even the glutton Xia Yuanba wasn't fight over food with him. The dishes were being emptied one by one in matter of seconds.

" Dongling, please ask the servants to bring out more dishes." Xia Hongyi asked the pretty looking maid with a mature air around her, who was standing behind Xia Qingyue.

" Yes, master." Xia Dongling the maid of Xia Qingyue nodded after getting over the initial surprise.

Xia Qingyue was looking at Ikuya in amazement. This is the first time she has seen someone whose appetite could rival her gluttonous brother. But this strange youth's appetite seems to be even higher than her brother.

She looked at her brother, Xia Yuanba who was looking at Ikuya with slightly tearful eyes. Ikuya was literally taking every dishes for himself.

After the dinner was over, Xia Yuanba looked dissatisfied and Ikuya looked casual. Xia Qingyue covered her beautiful face with a veil again, which quite confused Ikuya. He couldn't understand why she was wearing a veil in presence of her family.

" Yue'er, Yuanba, This is...." Xia Hongyi was about to introduce Ikuya to his children when Ikuya interjected.

" I am Ikuya Senya. Also called 'The Zenith'. You can call me Ikuya." Ikuya said with a slight smile.

" Yes. And he'll be both of your personal guard for three years till Yue'er's wedding." Xia Hongyi said with his usual calm and gentle smile.

Xia Qingyue frowned for a moment when she 'wedding' but soon recovered her composure. Xia Yuanba didn't have any problem as he flashed Ikuya a friendly smile, which Ikuya ignored.

Xia Qingyue looked at Ikuya with ice cold expression and asked in a chilly tone, " Do you even have the ability to be our guard?"
