Magnus's POV

I was in love. I had never felt this kind of love before. Of course, I love Ava more than anything, but this was different. Naomi, she is like an angel. The way her eyes shone, the way she laughed and smiled, I was in love. I thought to myself as I stood before my home.

"Brother! How dare you leave me at home alone for the whole night?! I even made dinner for you!" Ava said angrily as soon as Magnus walked through the door.

"Your brother was on a date, hehe," Magnus said with a smug face.

"You? Date? HAHAHA, nice joke buddy! Are you schizo?" Ava said while laughing.

"Sigh, I miss my cute little Ava. I wonder what happened to her," I joked while coming to Ava and hugging her tightly.

"Hey! Let me go!" Ava exclaimed as she struggled to get out of my hug, but after a while of failing to do so, she asked "Hey... show me a pic of her, would you?"

"Sure," I said as I took out my phone, "Here you go."

"Brother... why are you showing me a picture of you sitting at a table alone?" Ava said with a concerned look.

Huh? Is she making fun of me again?

"Blah blah blah, stop being a hater and start supporting your brother's love life, will ya?" I said.

"No, brother, I'm serious-" Ava said, her voice in a serious tone.

"Ava. I think you are tired. You should go to bed. It's 11 pm, and you have school tomorrow. Go to bed," I said as I started to walk into my room.

There was no way Naomi wasn't real. We hung out multiple times. Sarah and Lily were also there. Ava is sick or something. I thought to myself.

"OK... but I have a bad feeling about this girl. Please be careful around her," Ava said as she went back to her room.

After taking a shower, I went to bed ready for another session of Lone Dream. For the past few days, instead of sleeping, I would go into Lone Dream and train while having conversations with Xavier.

As I lay down on my bed, I went into Lone Dream.

"Hi, Xavier."

The golden text started to form, and [You seem to be happy today.]

"Well, Naomi and I went on a date, and it was kind of successful, hehe," I said, winking.

[...Anyways, what are you going to train today?]

Weird.. why does Xavier always go silent whenever I mention Naomi?

"Since today is the weekend, I will be consuming that blood from the C-rank Door."

[Why didn't you consume it earlier?]

"Because it might have some negative effect, and I have work on the weekdays, so I don't want to be poisoned or something while working."

[I see... well, get to consuming that blood, you vampire.]

I stared at it for a second. If any normal human saw this green liquid, they would throw it away because that would be logical, but me? Nah, I'd consume it. I thought to myself as I chugged the vial of blood.

Before I could finish it, the pain started to overflow my body. My veins started to turn green, and I was sweating. I couldn't even breathe or scream.

After a while of torture, the pain started to go away. I started breathing heavily.

"Shit, what the actual fuck was that?" I said angrily.

[Seems like the effect of the blood.]

"Well, no shit, but what happened?"

[You started collapsing, and you turned green for like 5 seconds.]

"Five seconds? That was like 10 minutes."

[No, I timed it. Anyways, do you feel anything different now?]

I concentrated and made myself a mana sword.

"So how do I infuse it?"

[The same way you infuse mana into your body to take less damage.]

"Wait. You can do that?"

"Well, I'm a porter, so I always stay back, so how would I get damaged?"

[Well, now you know, so hurry up and infuse the sword.]

"Ok. Here goes nothing," I said as I started to focus on my mana sword.

Green particles started to appear around the blade.

"Damn, that looks cool," I said out loud as I was amazed at my new ability, "Wait, does this mean that I can infuse my arrows with poison too?"

[Yes.]

I was deep in thought. Poison Arrow would help me a lot. I can support my teammates from behind by poisoning the enemies without them knowing.

Then I realized something. What if I drink other attribute blood like fire? Would that mean that I can infuse my weapons with fire too?

[And if you are wondering if you can drink other monster's blood to get more powerful, you can, but you will suffer. Today, you were lucky that you survived the blood. However, if you start consuming more blood, one day, you will die.]

I felt a chill run down my spine. Consuming more blood could lead to my death. I need to be more careful. I don't want to die and leave Ava alone, and my life has also started to become interesting...

"I agree... hey, how about we talk while I'm training?" I asked as I looked at the golden text.

As I saw what Xavier said, I lost my focus and every mana arrow and portal closed.

"Wait, you were alive?"

[Yes, I was Xavier Eghnet. I think you might know that name. I was pretty famous, I believe.]

"Xavier Eghnet? THE Xavier Eghnet? The strongest ascender that ever existed? The Sovereign of Space? Wait, wasn't he killed in that S-rank Door Break?" I asked, confused.

[Yes, I was killed, but not by the monsters. Those monsters were easy to kill. The reason I died was because my teammates betrayed me. As soon as I finished the boss off, they jumped me, knowing that I was out of mana.]

"Wait. If you died, then why did you become some golden text?" I asked.

[After I died, I was in this black room. Then, a voice went inside my head. "Do you want revenge?" it asked. I said yes. "Then you shall guide someone to become powerful and get your revenge," it said. Then, I got teleported to this place without a body. Only golden texts. The only instructions I received were to wait for someone to come here and instruct them to make them stronger.]

"And that's me," I said while trying to comprehend what was told to me.

"So you are training me to get your revenge?" I asked as I realized this.

[Yes, but one thing that I know for sure is that, by killing them, you will be saving the world from being enslaved.]

"...I don't understand. If you were truly Xavier Eghnet, who would be able to kill you?"

[That's easy. The individuals who killed me were the Sovereign of Mirage, Sovereign of Judgement, Sovereign of Inferno, Sovereign of Umbra, and finally the Hero of Light.]

I was shocked. The information given to me was shocking. The 4 Sovereigns part was shocking enough, but the Hero of Light? The savior of Earth? The now-strongest ascender?

"You want me to kill the Hero of Light?" I asked, my eyes wide.

[Yes, all 4 of the Sovereigns and the Hero of Light. After they killed me, they seemed to satisfy an evil god and made a contract with them. If you don't succeed, they will succeed in bringing the evil god to Earth.]

"But how?! Everybody loves the Hero of Light and those Sovereigns, so nobody is going to support me in fighting with those 5! Every single person on Earth will see me as an enemy as soon as I even shoot an arrow at the Hero of Light!"

[Then you will just have to be a Villain in their eyes.]

[Don't worry, some individuals know about their evil plan. You will still have some people who support you.]

"...I think I'm going to go. Sleep might be necessary to comprehend those information today" I said as I started to leave Lone Dream.
