Geniuses Are All Stepping Stones [Part 3]

In an open field, the figure of a blue-eyed boy could be seen doing some light stretches as the wind ruffled his messy white hair. Not too far away from where he stood, two beauties each having an aura of elegance around them gazed at the four-year-old.

One of them had long black hair coupled with mesmerizing green eyes while the other had long blue hair and dazzling red eyes.

Greedily inhaling the fresh spring breeze around him, Adrian closed his eyes after he was done with his stretches. Trying to keep his heartbeats normal and mind focused.

"It's time," Adrian muttered letting out a breath of air as he kept gazing into the distance.

"So all I need to do is amaze you right?" Adrian asked turning to look at Rebecca who stood not too far away from him.

Seeing her nod in reply, Adrian cracked his fingers while diverting his attention to his Mana Core that lay at the bottom of his stomach.

Focusing intently on the bluish ball that lay at the bottom of his stomach, Adrian slightly bent his knees before bringing his right hand in front of his body.

Adrian soon closed his eyes as he slowly channeled his Mana around his body through his Mana Veins. He seemed to be lost in another world as he ignored the existence of those around him.

'I wasn't expecting this.' Rebecca said to herself as she felt Mana fluctuations around Adrian's figure. The more he displayed the more her interest in him grew.

Slowly increasing the Mana that flowed through his body, Adrian kept increasing it until he channeled it all to the palm of his right hand. Leaving his Mana Core with a dimmer color.

""Huh?""

Shocked after seeing that the blades of grass around Adrian were swaying in an unknown wind, Liz and Rebecca stared at Adrian's figure with surprise evident in their eyes.

"This isn't the amount of Mana present in a child," Rebecca muttered as her red eyes glowed in a mysterious blue light. Making her see what looked like a flaming blue aura around Adrian's body.

Since when she was born, Rebecca had never seen a four-year-old with the amount of Mana Adrian currently had. If her guess was correct, maybe only children of the Demon race could come close to the amount he had.

'The King must not learn of his existence.' Liz's previous shock died in a few seconds as it was replaced by worry over Adrian's wellbeing.

Even though she wasn't able to see the aura around him Liz knew that Adrian's Mana Pool was large and if the King learned of his existence and then decided to make him Crown Prince Adrian's life would be at stake.

Unaware of the thoughts running through the minds of both women, Adrian channeled his Mana outwards with focus written on his face. A few drops of sweat were visible on his forehead with his eyes closed tight.

The more he kept moving his Mana around his body the more pain he felt course through him. Though he was able to easily cast the spell a few days back, the amount of Mana he was using this time was more than the previous by ten times thus putting a strain on his Mana Veins that could only handle a quarter of the Mana he was passing through them.

Gritting his teeth and ignoring the notification in front of him, Adrian concluded that his System was telling him about his drained Mana.

As he endured the pain spiraling through him, Adrian created a blue Magic Circle of about 1.2 meters in front of him.

"Water Sphere!" Adrian roared through gritted teeth. He endured the pain produced by the feeling of the Mana Veins in his right hand about to burst. It was a terrible feeling that Adrian wouldn't wish for anyone.

....

Author's note- The pain Adrian felt was comparable to a strain but the pain was currently curbed since Adrenaline was coursing through him.

....

As the Magic Circle glowed in an otherworldly light, Adrian's voice made the air tremble as the water molecules around him gathered towards the Magic Circle's center before condensing into a 1-meter ball of water that radiated pure power.

Trying his best to keep his footing stable, Adrian's limbs ached as he tried not to get thrown away by the force behind his Spell —something that could match the strength of a Low-grade Intermediate Spell.

Whoosh...

Thud.

Unhesitatingly releasing the sphere after his limbs felt like charred twigs, Adrian although quick at releasing it was thrown a few meters back.

Landing on his back, Adrian watched with amazed eyes as the sphere shot into the air not like how he wanted it to move though.

But it was too early to be relieved as immense pain from his collision with the ground shot through every fiber of his being after the Adrenaline in his blood had reduced. Barely enduring the pain he currently felt, Adrian's mind almost blanked when a stream of intense pain spiraled within him. It felt as if every muscle in his body had been torn to shreds leaving his skin and bones unharmed.

'Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

Not given the liberty to scream as he could barely feel his body, Adrian screamed akin to a pig that was getting killed in his mind.

Just as he was about to pass out from pain, he felt a soft palm rest on his forehead before a gentle voice soon followed. "Heal."

As a stream of energy coursed through him, the pain Adrian felt was reduced to a tolerable level but not completely removed. But for now, it was enough for Adrian to retain consciousness.

Ignoring the worried voices of Liz, Adrian stared at the blue screen in front of him without an ounce of surprise on his face.

Done reading the first notification in front of him, Adrian opened the second one to read and could only curse internally after seeing the first few words. 'Fuck me.'
