THE BOND THAT STARTED TO FALL APART

"What do you mean with that?"

"She is an enemy." Xiao Jun declared forthrightly.

"NO. SHE IS NOT!" Xiao Tianyao roared upon hearing his brother statement.

But, the next second Xiao Tianyao felt so strange with his strong reaction. It felt like he didn't think about it properly before he rejected the idea. His mind was clouded with something that he couldn't comprehend.

And for Xiao Jun, Xiao Tianyao's reaction was predictable, but the fact that he came looking for him in the middle of the night to confirm his uneasiness was a good thing too.

However, Xiao Jun couldn't push his luck and rushed him. His single bad statement about Luna was enough to put him on edge, not to mention if he told him about the report that he had gotten from officer Qi.

The report came when he was just arrived from the palace, it mentioned about Luna's true identity. That was a shocking news, but still within his anticipation.

Luna was Modama's daughter, not only that, she was also a mind controller like her father.

It was nasty trick and Xiao Jun despised his uncle to the bone for using his brother to go against him in order to crush him.

Xiao Jun didn't know what Xiao Tianyao's reaction would be if he let him know, but this time he couldn't afford to gamble this piece of information. He wanted Modama and Xiao Zi assumed he was still in the dark regarding Luna's identity.

In this point, there was a big chance Xiao Tianyao would ruin it, if he told him the truth and he kept insisting the otherwise.

"If you are very sure she is not. You need to find out yourself. Bring me the evidence and I will not question her anymore." Xiao Jun was about to turn and left when Xiao Tianyao held him back by his shoulder.

"So, you have evidence that she is an enemy?" Xiao Tianyao asked him coldly, forcing Xiao Jun to turn around and faced him.

"I do." Xiao Jun swatted Xiao Tianyao's hand from his shoulder.

"How she can be an enemy when she was just tortured by them as well?" He reminded stubbornly.

Looking how adamant Xiao Tianyao became to save the enemy's daughter, Xiao Jun felt fury was burning inside him. "She is still alive. She should have been death by now. Their plan for her is to kill her. So, why she is still alive now after three days they captured her!?" He added emotionlessly. "Look what you have done for her and damaged that you have created for us."

Uneasiness wasn't the right word to describe what Xiao Tianyao felt right now, there were no words to portray them after all.

Silence fell between the two brothers who were staring at each other, trying to understand and conveyed the mutual understanding as they used to be in the past, however it was hard to find it at the moment. The bond between them, seemingly started to fall apart.

"I need to come back now, I have to go early in the morning." Xiao Jun retracted his gaze and turned around.

"Jun." Xiao Tianyao called him again after Xiao Jun had taken three steps away. "Give me a clue."

Xiao Jun halted and sighed deeply, he was reluctant to let him know, in case he would foil this again, but in the end of the day Xiao Tianyao was still his brother. "If you open minded enough to hear it, you can come to Qi's mansion and look for officer Qi." After saying that, Xiao Jun resumed his way toward the courtyard.

"Be careful on your way." Xiao Tianyao whispered to the wind while looking at his brother retreating figure.
