below the OR on Eleanora's list of favorite places was the observation deck. When she had free time during a shift, she picked up charts or textbooks and went up to watch a surgery. When she didn't really want to go home right after her shift and she knew there was a cool surgery going on, she'd take her bag and sit throughout the entire thing.

Now was an example of free time. All of the interns were sitting, watching Meredith assist Burke. Eleanora had a new article in her hands, highlighter in the other as she went back and forth from reading and watching.

"I wish I could hold a heart." George complained, leaning backwards in his chair. Cristina scoffed, shaking her head.

"A monkey could hold a heart." She sneered, causing Eleanora to look over. She raised a brow at her friend, then looked at George.

George snorted, kicking at Cristina's shoulder. "You're just mad Burke didn't ask you." Cristina turned, probably about to go off on George, before Izzie interrupted from where she was texting on her phone.

"George, I need more ice and chips. And Eleanora, can you still pick up the salsa?" Eleanora hummed, nodding.

"Yep. Fresh salsa from the market, three big jars just like you requested." She confirmed, focusing back on the article.

"Three big jars? We only really need one, maybe with a smaller jar added. How many..who else did you invite?" George asked, his eye twitching slightly. Izzie continued to just make the party bigger and bigger without confirming with Meredith, and at this rate would get them all kicked out.

Well, her and him kicked out. George had a feeling Meredith would take one look at Eleanora and refuse to kick her out in fear of the smaller girl crying.

"Izzie, we said the list was jocks only!" Cristina complained, looking over her friends shoulder. "Surgery, Trauma, Plastics. Who else?"

Izzie sighed, looking at the three beside her with a nervous look. "Just some people from Peds."

Cristina and George let out groans, Eleanora looking up. "Did you invite some of the nurses from the Peds floor? They're all really nice, and Lindsay was a Frat bouncer in college! She said she could teach me how to shotgun a beer!"

Cristina ignored her friend but stored the information that she didn't know how to shotgun a beer for later. "You invited the preschoolers to Meredith's house? The next thing you'll say is that you invited the shrinks!" Izzie was silent for a moment and then looked away, and Cristina gasped. "She invited mental defects! This party is D.O.A."

"You know, Meredith thinks this is just going to be a little, small, meet-your-boyfriend cocktail thing. Did you clear this with her?" George asked, looking at Izzie with practically begging eyes. Eleanora put the cap on her highlighter and dog-eared the page she was on, leaning forward.

"Meredith said she used to party a lot, but we do have jobs now. And I don't know if she'd appreciate having to clean up a trashed house like she were a college student." Eleanora pointed out.

Izzie looked at George. "No I haven't, but I will. I promise!" She then looked at Eleanora. "And anyways, Meredith loves to party. She went to Europe solely for that, you know."

"Why are you wasting the only weekend your boyfriend is in town on a big party? Is he bad in bed?" Cristina pried . Eleanora let out a small 'oh', a sad yet understanding smile pulling on her lips.

"If he's bad in bed, I can make sure he gets really drunk so he'll just pass out and you won't have to worry about hurting his feelings."

Izzie chuckles, shaking her head. "No, he is not bad in bed. I just want him to meet some of my friends."

"Right, sixty geeks in scrub caps are your friends." Cristina's focused is pulled by her pager and she stands up, heading to leave. "Bad sex, sucks for you."

George and Eleanora let out loud laughs at Cristina's teasing tone and Izzie's offended face. However, Eleanora's laugh trailed off when Alex Karev walked in. She quickly stood up, grabbing her things as calmly as she could.

"I heard there was a party tonight at Meredith's house."

"Oh really? A party?" Cristina replies before exiting the observation room. Izzie turned her focus back to the OR quickly, sliding down in her chair.

"Uh, really? News to me."

"No party." George replied.  Alex scoffed, turning his eyes to Eleanora for a response. George and Izzie looked at her from the corner of their eyes, which widened when they noticed the state she was in.

Eleanora's mouth was opening and closing, no words coming out. Her eyes were wide and she was gripping her article to her chest. Alex smirked, raising a brow.

"You hear anything about a party, sweetheart?" He asked smoothly, lowering his voice. Eleanora looked at her two friends, who were giving her very obvious "shut up and don't say anything" looks.

She looked back at Alex, but before she could respond, the sound of the machines in the OR going off grabbed everyone's attention. With the distraction, Eleanora quickly slipped out of the room, letting out a breath she had been holding.

If Alex was even of the million people in her house, Meredith would probably focus her rage on Eleanora and Izzie.

the pit was always exciting. Sometimes. Well, not really. Kind of stressful. But a good stressful.

Eleanora was currently filling some paperwork at the nurse's station when Alex popped up. She jumped slightly, looking up at him.

"Yes?"

"I have a Dilaudid junkie in there." He complained. Eleanora let out a small giggle and shook her head, looking back at her paperwork.

"And?"

"And, Shepherd wants me to actually give him Dilaudid even though it's very obvious he's using." He stated, leaning towards her. "Shepherd likes you, right?"

Eleanora shrugged, squinting her eyes as she read through the discharge report. "I think so? I mean, he said he likes when I'm on his service and that I'm helpful. Why?" When he didn't respond, Eleanora looked up. Alex was smiling mischievously and she let out a small gasp. "No! I will not!"

Alex groaned, taking the pen out of her hand. "Why not! Come on, just talk to him about it. Don't even mention me, just ask if he really thinks we should or if you can go get some pamphlets instead. Not that hard!"
