And it starts…

2 MONTHS LATER…

The relationship between Long Li and Chen Xi have improved over the months. In terms of the empire, they released new laws to help the lower class people and took some power away from the nobles in court. Though many refused at first, they eventually accepted the laws as the nation kept growing in power, the empire expanded to the East and all that was left was the Xi Empire and the Long Empire.

"Doctor, doctor, come this way!" Lan'er shouted as she gestured to the Doctor.

"Your Highness." the Doctor said before getting to work.

He placed a cloth over Chen Xi's wrist and then felt her pulse. After a few seconds, he removed the cloth, stepped backwards and said: "Congratulations!"

"Congratulations? What are you talking about?" Chen Xi asked as she walked towards the doctor.

"Congratulations! You are pregnant!" the Doctor replied.

"Pregnant? I am pregnant? Can I tell the Emperor myself? " Chen Xi slowly asked happily.

The Doctor nodded his head and the memories came flooding back to her.

"Congratulations...It's the Emperor…..The tree bloomed..."

And everything went black.

When Chen Xi woke up, the Emperor was beside her holding her hand.

"Xi'er, you're finally awake!" the Emperor said as he held her hand tightly.

Chen Xi stared at the Emperor, smiled and said: "Was I part of your plan?"

"What are you talking about? What plan?" the Emperor replied.

Chen Xi leaned close to the Emperor, stared at him and said: "The plan to kill my Father?"

The Emperor was so shocked that he let go of her hand.

"How did you know?"

"So you don't deny it." Chen Xi said as she smiled and then started to laugh hysterically.

"Did you think my memories would be forever locked away? Did you think I was going to be that stupid innocent girl forever?" Chen Xi yelled at the Emperor.

"Chen Xi calm down, let me explain that was be-" the Emperor said as he tried to explain.

"I don't want to see you. I want to go home." Chen Xi said as she stared at the Emperor with tears in her eyes.

"No, you are not allowed to go to the Xi Empire."

"No, if you lock me here, I will kill myself!" Chen Xi shouted.

The Emperor stared at Chen Xi and then told the guards: "Look after the Empress she is not in a stable mindset. No one is allowed to enter or leave the room except the Doctor and a maid which I will assign. Lan'er is not even allowed to meet her."

"Yes." the guard said as the Emperor exited the room.

Chen Xi flopped to the floor as she cried.

She was blocked from the outside world, all she had was herself.

Meanwhile, the Emperor had called General Wang to prepare his army. He was starting to wage a war against the Xi Empire, the home of the Empress.

But little did he know that his one decision will impact the ending of many others.
