[43 hours after take off.]
The speed at which Rimora moved differed from time to time because of the breaks Arwan took in between.
Unlike the first journey where Arwan was itching to arrive at Terramoribus, this time he wasn't.
Everyone took their time to check their injuries while also having the fun they could have on the ship.
After Femi spent most of his time training or eating, sometimes he did them with Eina and other times he didn't. He looked back to his fight against the Syncro Trio and tried tweaking his sword technique while thinking about his newfound problem.
If he wasn't doing that, he was engaging himself with games on the bridge, 'supervising' the other two who navigated the ship, or he was sleeping.
Arwan didn't pilot the ship for long hours, he kept taking breaks in between. He was either sleeping to get over the draining effects the buff battery had on his body, or he was in the kitchen or mess room with Eina and Femi.
There were even instances where he watched Eina and Femi spar.
If he wasn't doing all of that, he was on the bridge, sometimes alone, other times with company.
Eina didn't need much sleep, effects that came from being a half evolved creature. Her injuries healed naturally and at a faster rate that one couldn't gain from using the average drugs.
She only took naps when Arwan suggested she should.
All her time on the Rimora ship was spent either beside Arwan or Femi. She enjoyed both of their company. One let her experience a whole bunch of activities, while the other spent a lot of time speaking to her, sharing various information with her.
They were both nice to her, in their own way.
Rimora was approaching their destination planet so all the members of the ship were gathered in the bridge.
"What exactly is on this planet? You never really mentioned why it's so dangerous," Although he didn't care too much, Femi asked.
"Yeah. I've been waiting for you to ask!" Arwan said. He gestured to Eina, and instructed. "Eina, please open a 3d hologram of the solar system for the planet named Pecado."
Eina nodded, showing how fast of a learner she was, she displayed the hologram without issue.
She didn't wait for Arwan's subsequent instruction and moved the small blue hologram that appeared on the panels in her front to the panels in front of Femi's captain chair.
"Hooo," Femi exclaimed at the sight.
A solar system with 11 planets, all of small size. The sun wasn't that big. Each planet had only one moon. The 5th planet away from the sun was marked with a red dot.
Having scanned the hologram and assimilated it, Femi asked, "So we're landing here. Doesn't look all too dangerous. But it seems like it'll still be fun though."
Arwan rose one hand from the steering wheel and gestured to Femi to stop, "Hold on. Stop the hunch talk, it steers my stomach. It's evident that you like playing with fire."
"What does that even mean," Femi spat without thinking.
"Nothing, nothing. Forget I said anything." Arwan shrugged. "Let's talk about Planet Pecado, shall we?"
Getting silence and nod as an answer, Arwan began to expatiate what the planet was all about.
The sector, Smole Sector, was where Pecado's solar system was located. A minor sector with few solar systems and only small planets in its range. It was located between the Alliance Sector and the Insan Sector.
Pecado was claimed habitable when a group of Galactic Wanderers cleared all the major threats present there and mined all the tether stones that increased the rates of evolution.
According to the Galactic Alliance rules, depending on the resources of the planet, once it's been uncovered by non-affiliates, they have certain rights to said planet. The reason why people sell the rights to the Alliance is because the amount of money required to start something from scratch on a planet is not something a non-government organization can easily acquire.
Instead of giving the rights to the Galactic Alliance, a private establishment bought the rights from them.
This made Pecado one of the first planets to be owned by a private establishment.
Pecado eventually became a thriving place and the most popular place for the rich to have various entertainment like concerts and other performances, casinos and gambling, vibrant nightlife, dining, hotel and resorts, and so on. A vibrant place to forget jobs and enjoy.
Because of how limited the Galactic Alliance power is on planets like this, it was also a good place for criminals to have fun with less worry, and a more suitable place for the black market to exist.
It was a place where illegal transactions can take place with minimal risk compared to other planets.
The planet is usually so wild that fights tend to happen almost every moment. An example is a bounty hunter who may suddenly just attack a criminal that was indulging himself in normal activities. There are many similar and non similar cases that appear on Pecado almost everyday.
It's also usually people who have a web of connection that usually end up at Pecado, and those kinds of people are ruthless to the core.
Messing with them or their people can end a Galactic Crew in over the short night Pecado has.
Treacherous acts like that occurred in the darkness of Planet Pecado.
"Ehhh, it sounds like a really interesting place."
Femi said with a grin, leaving Arwan to question, "Is it though?"
"Why are we going there? It doesn't sound like your type of place." Femi teased.
"True but sometimes, you have to do what you don't want to do. Ever since I met you, that has been ringing in my heart because it seems like some things are really inevitable." Arwan said, but Femi only tilted his head in response.
"Anyways, one of the reasons we're going here is to get a temporary identification card for Eina. There's also need to get Rimora's refill, getting new tether batteries and fitting a bodysuit for Eina. It's a place we can also stay away from the Alliance gaze for a while, but we have to pay attention to plunderers and other criminals." Staring at Femi intently, he added, "We don't approach strangers anyhow!"
Arwan sighed, rubbing the area between his eyes, he added in a sorry tone, "Yayy, kick me in the ass... We're going to a criminal infested zone..."
Femi and Eina smiled in unison.
"Don't worry. It'll be fine. No dangers ahead from this side." Femi cheered.
"Damn that!" Arwan cursed. "We're about entering Pecado's solar system. Unlike places with official star-port, we'll have to be the side to communicate first. I've booked a space in a star port over there. You figure out how to contact them."
"Okay," Femi gave a plain answer as he felt indifferent about the task. But as usual he didn't act like he didn't have emotion at the moment, instead he acted like he did have emotions.
His therapist back on Earth had said he should try this acting method any time he felt nothing, Femi didn't believe it'd work but he did it anyways. In fact, he had gotten used to doing it subconsciously.
Femi tapped different panels to do what Arwan said. He wasn't able to use the panels well which ended up warranting Eina's help. They were eventually successful.
"Huh... Thanks Lil." Femi said, acknowledging her guidance.
And to the comms, he informed, "Rimora ship here. We've entered the solar system and we're closing in on the planet. Prepare our land spot."
