Selling Potions

In the early morning, when the sun rises like a golden sphere on the distant horizon. The azure sky was painted with shades of orange and red. The sun ascends higher in the sky. The sun itself was glimpsing out of the horizon, and its brilliant rays began to warm the air and busy people from below.

A young teen with white hair and crimson eyes was looking outside of his window. His crimson eyes were staring in the bright sun that brings warmth to his charming face. Julian was thinking about how to complete his quest.

Gaining a reputation and being well-known in Nila City will be easy if he stands in the plaza with his charming face and his identity as a prince.

However, Julian and his mother were now hiding in the eyes of the Black-Iron Kingdom, and he can't clash with them right now. Julian looked at the orange sky for a minute, and he decides to take a walk in the city.

After talking to his mother in the Inn, Julian was now walking in the Nila Bay. The sound of big ships and boats can be heard from the distance, numerous merchant ships transporting goods and items in the large harbor.

Julian saw the busy crowd walking in the bustling street and merchants selling their stuff in the crowds.

"Selling fresh vegetables! Selling fresh vegetables! You can buy a pair of fresh carrots for 30 copper! Buy now!" A merchant with brown hair attracts the nearby crowds with his loud voice.

"Affordable Clothes Here! You can buy any clothes for 1 silver coin and 50 copper! Buy now!" A merchant with a mustache was waving a piece of clothes in the air.

Julian looked at one of the merchants on the street that catch his attention. The other merchant was selling common goods, but this merchant was selling a vial filled with red liquid. People were lining up for the stall of this merchant while waving their money in the air.

"Healing Potion! Healing Potion! There are only 150 vials left! Hurry and Buy now for only one gold coin!" A sexy girl wearing indecent clothing was shouting behind the merchantman. Her seductive voice attracts a lot of men in the crowd.

Julian looked at the merchant and his sexy assistant that making a bunch of profit from the healing potion.

'one gold coin for that potion? It only cost 45 silver in Maharlika! What a rip-off... Wait, I can also do that! I just need some materials and alchemy equipment.' Julian's crimson eyes shine in delight while looking at the merchant selling the healing potion.

The deafening noise of the crowds and merchants can be heard from the main marketplace of Nila City. Merchant shout to attract the crowds, Sea of people walking from every direction, while the merchant carriages transporting goods can be seen in the busy Nila Market Plaza.

A merchant with red hair wearing a luxurious white robe was waiting for the customer in front of his huge alchemy store. He is sitting in a comfortable fuzzy chair, while his brown eyes were looking for potential customers with the crowd.

The smell of herbal plants and dried goods spread out nearby in the street in front of the store, and there is numerous jar filled with strange small creatures and unknown plants were arranged in a big cabinet.

A tall figure walked inside his store, wearing a wooden mask on his face and robes covered his whole body. Seeing the tall figure, the merchantman with red hair smiled brightly.

"Hello, sir. What are you looking for? Please allow me to assist you." The merchantman with red hair speaks with a passionate voice.

Julian took out a piece of paper from his pocket and handing it over to the merchant. The merchantman smiled and read out the content, but when he saw the words within the piece of paper, the calm expression on his face turned into shock. His brown eyes looked at the tall figure with curiosity and enthusiasm.

"Do you practice alchemy, honorable sir.?" The merchantman asked Julian with a more passionate voice than before.

"...." Julian didn't answer the merchantman's question and just stare at him.

"I'm sorry for asking for a silly question, Hehehe. please don't be mad at me sir, I will give a ten percent discount for all of your purchases as an apology." The merchant scratches the back of his head while speaking.

"Wait for me, sir. I will get it for you in a minute..." The merchantman said to Julian and moved around the alchemy shop.

After a few minutes, The merchant return with a huge bag full of strange plants and jars filled with unknown substances.

"Here. This is everything written in the paper, sir. All of this cost 40 gold coins, sir." The merchantman speaks with a passionate voice while raising the huge bag toward Julian.

Julian took out a small bag inside his robes and gave it to the merchantman. He checked the content of the huge bag and makes sure everything is in there. After a few seconds, Julian turned around and walked outside the building holding a huge bag in his hand.

The merchantman finished counting the gold coin in the small bag noticed that Julian already walked outside of his store. He quickly dashes outside of his store.

"Sir! If you were looking for something or need anything! You can call me... My name is Alex!" The merchantman shout at the tall figure of Julian.

Julian didn't turn around to look at Alex and just wave his hand in the air.

After a few hours of walk, Julian finally reaches the Twin-Star Inn. Julian swiftly walked toward his rented room and locked the door.

After entering his room, Julian's crimson eyes were now looking at a ring. It is made of unknown black metal with an image of a dragon carved on it. Seeing the ring on his hand, Julian's crimson eyes become emotional. This is a spatial ring that his father left behind when he died because of the terrifying monster. Before his mother buries his father, she took out the spatial ring from his father's hand as a remembrance.

Julian gently stroke the black ring with his hand and take out a worn-out piece of paper from it. He set up the alchemy materials, a pot, and a measuring tool.

To become an alchemist. You must have a lot of knowledge about the properties of different kinds of alchemy materials. You must know a lot of alchemy techniques to combined them together. You must have great control in using the alchemy equipment. It is hard to become a qualified alchemist however, It is quite easy to produce some basic potion as long as you know the recipe and the exact measurement.

Julian follows the instruction in the worn-out paper with a serious expression on his face. Julian placed the right amount of alchemy materials in the pot base on the worn-out paper, then stir it slowly.

After a few minutes, the liquid in the pot turned violet. Seeing this, Julian quickly toss a strange plant into the pot, and the violet liquid turned red. Seeing this, Julian sigh in relief. He looked outside his window and noticed the sunset.

On the bustling street of Nila city, numerous people can be seen walking and talking with each other, even though it's already dark outside. The city was full of life and enthusiasm.

A tall figure wearing a mask on his face and robes which covered his whole body can be seen. Julian set up a small stall at the side street and placed numerous vials on the table. He took out a wooden sign with a word written on it and place it at the top of his stall. After putting on the wooden sign, A system notification appeared.

Julian quickly accepts the quest.

Suddenly a small figure snatches one of the vials on Julian's stall. The small figure's hand was quite fast, but Julian's crimson eyes noticed him. Julian quickly grabs the thief and slams the thief into the ground.

The impact creates a loud noise that attracts the crowd. Julian's crimson eyes looked at the thief's face. The thief is a young teen with black hair and eyes. He has a pale face and a skinny figure. Maybe because of not eating foods for several days. His forehead has a cut because of being slammed into the ground by Julian. The blood from his forehead flows into his chin, making the sorry figure of this teen more miserable.

Seeing the young teen with a bloody, Julian quickly took out one of his healing potions in the stall.

"Everyone! Look... This young teen tried to steal from me!... But as a merchant with a good heart! I will gift this one vial of healing potion to this poor boy!." Julian speaks with a loud voice, and his words attract more crowds' attention. They saw the poor thief struggling to stand up on his own.

Seeing the crowd was intrigued by his words, Julian opened the vial of healing potion. Julian walked toward the young teen and then forcefully chugged it toward the young teen's mouth.

Cough!

Cough!

After a few seconds of the young teen coughing, his wounds on his forehead quickly healed up that the crowd's eyes can see its healing process.

"Now! Everyone listens to me... as a merchant with good hearts! I will only sell this Healing Potion for 60 silver! Buy it now for affordable cost!." Julian speaks with a loud voice.

"What 60 silver coins for Healing Potion!?" someone from the crowd shouted.

"Quick! buy it before he changes his mind!"

Hearing Julian's word, the intrigued crowds quickly lined at Julian's Stall!. They raced in front of his stall with all they and afraid of being left behind by others.
