RAVEN'S BREAKDOWN

Alice

Raven's hand started to shiver as the paper fell down along with drops of tears flowing from her almond eyes.

She left again , she didn't keep her promise , she broke her trust again , Raven was truly hurt by Alice's behaviour , after a long time in her life she thought that she found her happiness all again but it ached more when the happiness is been taken away once again.

Her legs felt numb as her tiny lips trembled , she won't recieve any letters after this , Alice was gone , permanently . And that's it , her legs gave up , she couldn't stand anymore . she dashed into her room ignoring Jane's questions , she wasn't in the state of answering .

She shut the door with a loud thud as she laid on bed crying silently.

"heyy Raven are you ok?"

Jane was worried as hell because. raven and locked up in her room for the past two hours and for the nth time she didn't get any reply .

"I can't, I can't believe this yet "

Raven threw her pillow making the room extra messy. and now she knew who could calm her down.

Raven immediately got her phone and dialled Felix's number.

"Hello? "

"..."

"raven are you on the line?"

".. sniff*"

"heyy are you crying ?"

"...sobs*"

"just answer me damn it! "

"fe-felix.. "

Felix remained silent as raven went on...

"sh- she left"

"who left?"

Felix was more than curios now .

"Ali-Alice "

"Alice again!! what about her ?"

"she left again , she broke her promise"

"for fucking sake just move on Raven , how long are you gonna be like thinking about Alice , she has got a great life living out but you are still wasting your time thinking about her !, she is gone Raven! "

Felix yelled through the phone , not because he hated Alice but he couldn't stand seeing her sister hurt .

there was a long pause

"you are right , she is happy without me , I must move on "

Raven whispered almost in an inaudible voice ..

Raven cut the call as she crushed the letter and threw in the corner of her room.

Raven went out of her room only to see Jane sitting on the couch with a panicked expression.

she immediately got up and caught Raven tightly in her arms. Raven didn't stop her , her warmth felt good.

"I was hella worried, you wanna speak about it?"

Jane asked as she pulled away from the hug . her voice was filled with concern .

Raven shook her head as Jane nodded in understanding.

"let's go for a walk and grab some ice cream shall we? "

Raven nodded.

Jane woke up earlier than usual. Raven would have woken by now but the house was empty. She knocked on Raven's room but there wasn't any answer. She decided to go in only to find Raven Fully wrapped up in a blanket like a Burrito.

Jane went closer and touched her forehead in case she had any cold or fever. Raven's forehead was burning.

Jane immediately went to the bathroom and bought some towels and cold water. she dipped the towel and placed it on Raven's forehead . she was repeating the process every five minutes once .

After about an hour , Raven's temperature was decreasing . Jane left a huge sigh of relief as brushed the strands of hair from Raven's face and pecked her forehead.

"where am I? , did I die ? , why is my head paining? "

Raven opened her eyes only to be met the white ceiling. she squinted her eyes adjusting herself to the bright light . she turned left and saw Jane with her scrapbook too focused on her work. Raven decided not to disturb her as she closed her eyes again pretending to sleep.

"I know you are awake "

Jane said still her eyes not away from her book .

Raven chuckled as she opened her eyes again.

after two minutes , Jane closed her note as she looked at Raven with a smile.

"how are you feeling now?"

"good , just a little headache"

"I told you not to eat more ice cream yesterday !"

raven smiled teasingly as Jane chuckled.

"fine fine , I'll make some soup for you "

Jane left to kitchen not forgetting to take her note along with her .

Not long after Jane came with a tray as she placed it on the bed .

"come on slurp it soon "

Raven immediately got up and started slurping the soup as Jane just stared at her.

"now medicines" Jane handed a tablet to raven as immediately shook her head.

"I'm fine I don't want medicines " she said while pushing Jane's hand away from her .

"nope , no excuses , have these !"

Jane was scary to raven at this point.

"fine fine mom" raven said dramatically in a scared tone as she gulped the medicine.
