CHAPTER 19
“What happened? Why is your face like that? You look like someone who saw a disgusting event and about to throw up,” Melissa uttered as she observed the pale face of Colleen who is secretly fisting her hand to control her emotion.
Taking a deep breath, Colleen shifted her eyes away from Melissa as she could not tell her that she saw Sarah kissing with another man after she had seen her with Patrick earlier.
"Nothing," she replied nonchalantly like she had seen nothing. After she looked at the waiter approaching, holding a tray with two cans of soda.
She saw Melissa shrug her shoulders with doubt afterwards she said, Aare you sure? You don't want to tell me, "Melissa mumbled after she smiled. Melissa was indeed her best friend. Despite being far from each other before, she still knew her better than anyone.
Colleen took a deep breath. "Yes," she responded as she took a sip of soda from the glass where the waiter had filled earlier.
