...The Backup Plan...

At midnight, and after making sure that Annie was in deep sleep. Aaron, Dylan, Laila, and Sarra went back to the Taj Mahal. Sarra helped Laila and Dylan to pass through the gate without being seen. As for Aaron, he was already on the top of the minaret looking for the flower. At the top of the stairs, a balcony encircles the upper sections of the tower.

" Where is it? It should be somewhere here."

He kept looking around until Dylan and the rest caught up with him. The top of the minaret was a narrow place it could barely fit the four of them.

- Did you find it?

- No, not yet.

- Maybe Rahul was mistaken.

- I don't think so, it must be here somewhere.

Laila lifted her head and noticed the flower right above their heads, on the ceiling, hidden in the darkness. She was about to tell them, but then she decided to not. Instead, she pretended to keep searching:

- At this rate, we won't be able to find anything. The place became too crowded.

- What should we do?

- I think we must divide ourselves to gain more time. There are four minarets, each one of us must take one to search in it.

- I think that's a good idea, I will go to another one.

- Me too...

Aaron and Sarra used their powers to move immediately to other minarets while Dylan stayed with Laila.

- Aren't you going to remain minaret?

- No, I'm staying here, with you. I suppose you don't mind.

Laila was so tired that she couldn't do anything except for watching herself fall from the top of the minaret.

Dylan caught her at the last minute from her hand before she fall to her death.

- HANG ON TO ME! I WILL PULL YOU OUT...

Laila could barely open her eyes. She couldn't move her body or hang on to him.

- LAILA! WAKE UP!

She looked at his freaked-out face, and at that moment her tears started dropping:

- You have to let me go, Dylan...I don't deserve this.

- NO, I WILL NEVER LET YOU DIE...NOT THIS TIME.....I WILL SAVE YOU, LAILA...I WILL SAVE YOU FROM YOURSELF.

Dylan used all his power to pull Laila out from the balcony. Fortunately, he succeeded in saving her.

He collapsed on the floor while hugging her and yelling:

- YOU, STUPID GIRL! HOW COULD YOU DO THAT? YOU WERE ABOUT TO DIE!

Laila didn't answer him, instead, she kept crying. Dylan knew that she was struggling. So he didn't want to make her feel worse. He put his head on her shoulder while still hugging her tight.

- I won't ask you anything until you decide to tell me everything but there is one thing I must know...Is Tarou Fine?

Laila kept silent.

- Please....just this...

Laila nodded her head:

- Thank you...

- What are you doing both of you? This is not the right time for such things.

Said Aaron while appearing suddenly in front of them. Laila wanted to push Dylan away, but she didn't have any energy left. All she did was close her eyes and sleep in his arms.

- What's wrong with her?

- Nothing, she is very tired...Can you take her to the hotel room?

- Alright...

Aaron took Laila to the hotel room and put her into the bed and went back in a blink of an eye.

- Our plan succeeded. We can keep up now..
