The five human demi-gods wore extremely deranged expressions full of blood lust and panic. If they could only last for one minute longer, they'd be able to make it to the Fan Sect.
They had all spent hundreds of years in isolation and were trying their hardest to learn the laws of destruction and the law of time so they could make a new sentient treasure.
Without a system like Lin Fan, it was extremely time consuming to master a new law and many demi-gods would die before they fully understood the ins and outs of a law like the law of destruction. It was a primary law that contained one of the darkest parts of creation, and was considered one of the peak weapons for a demi-god to master.
The law of time was also as powerful as the law of destruction, but time was much easier to grasp and had a lot more manuals about it. The thousands of sentient tomes on the law of time wouldn't allow the humans to beat the other races. They were aware of that, and spent 500 years created a half done sentient treasure.
The only problem was that the Dragon Kin had gotten word of them, and were hunting them, searching for them, since the beginning of the war. They had heard about the five human demi-gods in the Vine Super Clan for many years, and had been looking for them, diligently searching, for traces of where they had been hiding.
At the start of the war, someone from the Vine Super Clan came to give them word in Al Green mountain dressed up as a beggar. The dragon kin had followed him anyway, and now were using their strongest gods to attack the Vine Super Clan Head Elders.
The Vine Super Clan Head Elders were all much stronger than any of the demi-gods that Lin Fan had fought from the water race, including the admiral that he'd faced just a few weeks ago. However, the Dragon Kin just like every other race liked to keep their best weapons in hiding. If you kept your best weapons for the worst moments, it would protect your future progeny.
The Dragon King was even willing to not use his best demi-gods at all, but then he saw an opportunity when he heard about the Vine Super Clan Heads location being found. Hence, even as the Vine Super Clan Head Elders heard the hammering of Lin Fan, they were still only about three percent sure they could reach that point.
They each were using the law of lightning and the law of fire to shoot across the sky as a few soldiers behind them activated the law of time with a skill called the [Light Dial]. A large clock appeared in the air around each of them as they appeared from the backs of the Vine Super Clan Head Elders.
They knew they were destined to die, but were willing to sacrifice themselves so their elders could live on.
To give a clearer picture, the five vine super clan head elders had capes called [life storage bandannas] around their necks that they kept their strongest Apotheosis Stage clan members in. When they activated it, dozens of Apotheosis Stage practitioners who were living in the storage bandanna's appeared and instantly activated the law of time.
If enough people used the law of time at once, it could create a time domain that would temporarily freeze a group in place. The only problem was that the difference between Apotheosis Stage practitioners and demi-gods close to the mortal shedding realm was night and day. They could at best hope to freeze them for five seconds which would give the Vine Super Clan Elders enough time to hopefully reach the Fan Sect.
"I'm sorry. I never wanted to use you all," One elder cried out as his best disciples activated the law of time. He could feel it, their end, in the fate strings as he activated his best movement skill [Full Metal Burst]. "He turned into a beam of light that shot across the sky as he pulled a spear out of his back and tossed it towards the din of hammers.
All five of them were aware Lin Fan into blacksmith abilities, and they also recognized the lion triplet techniques roar.
The spear had a note on it that had been especially prepared for Lin Fan. He was so focused at the time, that he hardly noticed the large shouts coming from the distance.
His hammer beat into the metal over and over and over again as he smiled and wiped the sweat off his head. He'd just made the metal get close to reaching the eighth rank.
He reached over to grab a towel to wipe off his sweat as he turned to Princess Mane who'd hung her red sweater on the door knob. He could feel the vibe in the room growing strange as he sighed and tossed his towel into the bin.
"One more sword, and I'll go give her some attention," Lin Fan sighed and suddenly looked forward as a spear burst into the window of his workshop. He instantly activated the law of time and held out his hand before he activated the law of wood.
Hundreds of vines shot out of the ground and stopped the spear in mid air before the [eternal heart clock[ rang near his side.
"Someone just activated the law of time? Why is it such a big response?"
Lin Fan casually walked over to the spear and picked it up. "Such bad timing..."
