Chapter 110 Friends and betrayal 1

  "There were other responsible and Noble young men you could get married to. I still haven't figured out why you got married to.... Goerge!" Faith mocked as she sat on the couch twirling her wine in her hands. She crossed her legs together as she met her supposed best friends gaze.

She has been waiting patiently for this day to come, which she predicted the moment the president died. Goerge was a known business man but that doesn't mean he was good at it. He's failed in so many businesses good thing he had people who genuinely had their back.

She couldn't count the number of times they got help from Antonio, the same man they've killed. Actually Faith supported them all this while for her own gain, until she found out Florence wanted the man her daughter wants for her daughter. She would have let it slide as it was in her nature to compete, but this heartless woman had threatened to kill she and her family.

Florence is not a person that just goes around giving people empty threats, she was one who did what she says no matter how long it would take her. To Faith, Florence is just the person she would use to eliminate Elsa.

Florence gritted her teeth, she knew faith would mock her but she just had to act smart and not loose control before her friend, cause of what she wants from her. She would get back at faith and end her life herself when the time is right. 

When Florence saw her daughter walk into the school earlier that day, she could see how shabby Claire looked compared to her niece. How would Liam notice her daughter if she looked that way. She had tried to make Elsa look less attractive compared to Claire when the girl was with her.

Every day Florence regretted why she let the girl go, not that she liked Elsa, but if she had not let the girl go then maybe Liam would have never seen her and felt the need to care and protect her. 

With her gritted teeth she forced a smile at Faith's words. "I blame myself every day for that. I guess I was blinded by love!" She kept her answer as polite as possible. "That is not love, that is foolishness. I thought you were smarter than your sister?" She placed her wine on a stool 

Was faith trying to poke her? Thought Florence to herself "Thought you were my best friend? Your words speaks of something else. You of all people should know my reason behind that marriage!" Florence said as polite as she could. She could be good at being patient or killing people, but one thing she was not good at was controlling her emotions. They could slip through her fingers at any time.

Faith knew about this and the reason her friend was here, that was why she was hellbent on taunting her. "Are we friends??" She asked with a smile on her lips leaving Florence astonished.

"Last I remember, you threatened my family. How can you do that?" This time faith sounded irritated that her voice got up a little. 

Florence paused a little before speaking, "You and I know the reason for that argument, and besides it was a harmless one. Don't tell me you're scared?" 

Faith narrowed her eyes at her friend, "Like you said we've been best friends for years now, I know when you make empty threats and when you don't. But like our old rule says, he who says it first gets it!" Faith said sarcastically.

As she has always been, mere words from people without actions doesn't affect her at all. Especially when those words come from her friend Faith. Florence knew her reason for coming and she must achieve her goal before leaving this house. "That is true!" She replied briefly.

"I know what you're here for. But before I give it to you, you must sign an exclusive agreement!" Florence frowned, she knew where they were heading to and she did not like the sound of it.

If she had been calm before, then now she panicked. Faith was turning into a real enemy and she had to do something about this.
