Pure Delight

It took Lex a few hours to tell them everything that had happened, surprising and shocking his parents.

But what shocked them even more was that he was made an amateur Runner when he arrived back in the city.

Lila was so happy that she said she was cooking a meal for them and jumped up. But before she left the room, she spoke to Lex. ''Get some rest. I will wake you up when it's done.''

Gavriel agreed with a nod as he stood up and left the room. Lila smiled as she also left.

After Lila left the room, he sighed, feeling a mixture of emotions. He couldn't shake the weight of the day's events, and the uncertainty of the future lingered in the air.

Seeking solace, he decided to make himself comfortable on the sofa. Lex loosened the straps and clasps of his armor, the metallic pieces clinking softly as he removed them.
