Dembele acted on the instructions given to him by the spellbinders; he disabled the intruder sensors in the building, which rang out alerts to the Romans when an unauthorised crossing was made from Aki Street to Bermuda Zone.

There were up to fifteen sorcerer-spellbinders in the group that launched the offensive in the Bermuda zone. Unfortunately for the Romans and their students, they were all in the building when the attack began. The sorcerers sealed all the possible exits of the building using force fields before proceeding to find and kill their targets, except for one sorcerer. This sole sorcerer stood outside the building, saying magical chants that kept the force field strong and steady. As long as the sorcerer stayed up and chanted, the force field could tank any attack without crumbling.

The force field enveloped the building like a dome, and it was visible and coloured yellow.
