61. Kisuke’s Resolve

RAWRR…

A surge of chakra erupts in the distance. A giant pillar of dark red chakra rises in the air.

Metal B enters into his four-tails transformation state.

"That's… that's the second transformation of a Jinchuriki."

The Suna and Iwa commanders recognize Metal B's transformation. According to their intel, Metal B shouldn't be able to exert control over the tailed beast transformation beyond three-tails. But this situation is clearly different from their expectation.

"Even if he transforms into eight-tails, he is still in a disadvantageous situation against a member of the Uzumaki clan, much less their leader." Both of them glance at each other.

The Uzumaki clan members hold an inherent advantage against every tailed beast in existence. Their powerful chakra possesses the ability to suppress tailed beasts and their potent Fuinjutsu techniques can even seal a tailed beast during the battle. Also, the bloodline technique 'Adamantine Sealing chains' of the Uzumaki clan can restrict and even drain the chakra of a tailed beast. It's part of the reason the First Hokage was able to capture Eight out of the Nine-tailed beasts. Since his wife Mito, Uzumaki was proficient in sealing techniques and could easily suppress all eight of them with her adamantine sealing chains with first Hokage's wood release.

If Yuji was here, he would give an analogy of nukes. The tailed beasts are similar to the nukes of his previous world, the ultimate weapon of destruction of each village. Even the possession and control of one is sufficient to act as a deterrent to the rest of the world.

Previously, the first Hokage and his wife, Mito Uzumaki, captured eight such powerful nukes; thus giving him an edge over the rest of the nations. His fearsome prowess spread across the world and thus he gained the title of the 'God of Shinobi' since his power was even greater than the tailed beasts.

But, the first Hokage distributed the tailed beasts to the rest of the nations since too much power in the hands of a single nation might make them the subject of fear of other nations. He feared a situation when, after his death, the rest of the shinobi nation might form an alliance and declare war on Konoha. So, he chooses to divide the power equally among other nations to even the scales.

However, the first Hokage overlooked a crucial detail, or perhaps he didn't even consider this as a possibility. Handing out the tailed beast, sure even the playfield, but the lease of the tailed beasts was still in the hands of Konoha.

The Uzumaki clan is that lease. Their member can overwhelm and seal a tailed beast effortlessly. Perhaps the first Hokage and his predecessor Second Hokage were aware of this situation, but they didn't bother; either because of their belief in Konoha's prowess or their blind trust in their successors. They never considered the possibility of a betrayal. It's all these factors that lead to the current situation.

With the death of Mito Uzumaki, the spiritual leader of the Uzumaki clan; the rest of the nations got an opportunity to weaken their strength and prevent them from being the deciding factor of the war.

The two jounins of Sunagakure and Iwagakure came to a tacit understanding. Both of them simultaneously attack Kisuke from a distance.

They decide to distract Kisuke from focusing his attention on suppressing the transformed state of Metal B. Metal B will use the overwhelming power of the tailed beast to land a finishing blow on Kisuke.

Haah…

The Suna and Iwa jounins make a series of hand signs.

"Wind Release: Co-operation Ninjutsu: Dust cloud Storm,"

The shinobis of Sunagakure perform an area-wide co-operation ninjutsu to overwhelm Kisuke's and his summon's senses.

"Earth Release: Rocking Earth Wave,"

Multiple undulations appear on the ground and destabilize the ground beneath the giant demon.

Earlier, the forces of the four great nations were scattered because of the surprise attack from Kisuke and his comrades. The giant summons disrupted their battle formation and isolated the shinobis into multiple smaller groups.

However, within the span of the battle between Kisuke and the four commanders, the rest of the captains and their subordinates were able to deal with the remaining four shinobis and their summons.

Now, all of them gathered in their battle formation to assist their commander in the battle. Once again, the odds are stacked against Kisuke.

Sigh…

Kisuke sighs and helplessly stares at the group of shinobis from the four nations. His comrades have already perished in the earlier battle, and it's his turn next.

"Still… as a member of the Uzumaki clan, I have my dignity. I won't fall so easily."

Kisuke jumps down from the top of the giant demon. He lands on the ground and makes a series of quick hand signs.

"Adamantine Sealing Chain: Locking Formation,"

RUMBLE…

Multiple golden chakra chain erupts from Kisuke's body. These chains pierce through the ground and form a sturdy spherical barrier around him. The barrier withstands the attack from the battle formation of four nations and trembles slightly. Multiple cracks appear in the barrier. A trail of blood leaks from Kisuke's eyes and mouth, but persists in the battle.

Back in the distance, atop a small hill;

Metal B finishes charging up a small, dense, spherical ball of chakra. The ground around him collapses from the weight of the chakra. He opens his mouth and fires the orb toward Kisuke.

BOOM…

The orb rapidly travels in Kisuke's direction while destroying everything in its path. Kisuke also senses the danger from the orb of chakra.

"That's the tailed-beast bomb!"

His expression turns grim. Kisuke wipes the blood from his mouth with his thumb. He sears the blood on his palm and makes a series of quick hand signs.

"Summoning: Quintuple Rashomon,"

Bang… Bang… Bang… Bang…

Five giant gates with demonic faces erupt from the ground

BOOM…

The tailed-beast bomb explodes on top of the first gate, and a blinding explosion engulfs the entire area.

The rest of the shinobi quickly evacuate the area and stare in the direction of the battle with trepidation.

"What power?!"

They marvel at the sheer amount of chakra in that explosion. The chakra waves from that explosion send shivers across their spine from this distance.

'So, this is the power of a Jinchuriki who has control over their tailed beast." The two commanders from Iwa and Suna gasp in shock.

They also understand Kumo's conviction in this battle. If Metal B was to fight in the war, he would gain an absolute advantage in the battle for a while before either the Jinchuriki of another nation makes his move or a group of powerful shinobis surround him. It will be impossible to subdue him without the efforts of a Kage-level shinobi. And such shinobis are tactical weapons deployed only during extreme situations.

However, Metal B appeared at such a place to kill a single shinobi. This highlights the importance Kumogakure places on Kisuke's head.

"It will be a miracle if he survives that explosion." This notion appears in their mind.

However, the reality wasn't often more disappointing than anyone's expectation.

The dust and smoke slowly clear up to reveal the battle scene.

Everyone's eyes transfix on the five-giant gates still standing upright on the battlefield. There is a massive dent in the gate at the front, but the rest of the gates are unharmed by the explosion. Two massive trenches appear beside the gate.

Huff… Huff…

Kisuke is breathing heavily as the overuse of his chakra burdens his body.

'This is the first time I pushed my body to such a degree. At this rate, I won't be able to hold for much longer.'

Kisuke turns his attention to the giant demon beside him.

'Its giant body will make it an easy target for others. Since it's almost impossible for me to survive this battle, then I might as well give it my all and die a glorious death.'

Haah…

Kisuke clasps his hand and realigns the position of the Five Rashomon gates around him.

"What's he doing?" An uneasy feeling erupts in the heart of those shinobis.

Kisuke takes a scroll from his robes. He fetches a kunai from his holster and slashes his chest.

Splurt…

Blood spurts out from the wound on his chest and falls on top of the seal on the scroll.

"Secret Art: Forbidden Jutsu: Blood Sacrificial Puppet Seal,"

The seal on the scroll absorbs his blood and flickers with intense red light. The giant demon lowers its head and Kisuke plants the seal on its head.

The paper around the seal burns off and the seal implants itself on the demon's head.

Riip…

Kisuke rips apart his clothes and a similar seal appears around his chest. Kisuke takes a horse stance and makes a series of hand signs.

"Rat> Tiger> Snake> Horse> Dragon> Ram> Dragon>…"

He makes a total of around a hundred hand seals in a span of a few seconds.

HAAH…

Kisuke claps his hands.

RUMBLE… RUMBLE…

A rumbling sound echoes in the surroundings. A scarlet pillar of light rises in the sky from his position.
