56. Sealing the Beast Part-2

Roar…

Nine-tails releases another furious roar and struggles to get free. Mito withstands the extreme pain and places her hand on top of Kushina's abdomen.

Shoom…

A Four Symbol Seal appears on top of Kushina's abdomen. A black hole similar to Mito's appears in the middle of the seal. Nine-tails chakra slowly enters Kushina's body through the seal.

Ugh…

Kushina twitches in pain due to the burden of the Nine-tails chakra. Mito continues to extract more of Nine-tails chakra from her body. The rate of sealing is slower than the rate of extraction, thus providing Nine-tails with a window of opportunity to manifest its complete form.

RRRROOOARRR…

It releases another deafening roar and unleashes its chakra to rampage in the surroundings. Nine-tails's powerful chakra blasts several pits in the surroundings and assaults everyone in the vicinity. Kisuke struggles to hold it down with his Adamantine Sealing Chains.

When the Nine-tails is almost on the verge of breaking free, thicker and stronger chakra chains grip its neck and stab through Nine-tails body pinning it to the ground.

Huff… Huff…

Mito breathes heavily due to the heavy burden on her body through the extraction of Nine-tails and releasing a large amount of chakra to restrain the beast.

"Grandma!" Tsunade hurriedly dashes toward Mito's side and supports her.

"We don't have much time to complete the seal. If we delay any further, it will only prolong Kushina's suffering" Mito slowly stands up as Tsunade gently leads her near Kushina's unconscious body.

Multiple veins pop out all over Kushina's body. Her body turns hot and feverish. Kushina breathes heavily and her blood pressure and heart rate rise constantly. Multiple swathes of chakra pocket forms all over Kushina's body

"Things are looking bad!" Mito grits her teeth.

"Kushina's body is rejecting the Nine-tails chakra. The clash between her chakra and nine-tails chakra has created an imbalance in her chakra system and her chakra is flowing haphazardly through her body. In my present condition, it's extremely hard for me to stabilize her body and transfer Nine-tails to her."

"Grandma, I will stabilize Kushina's body. Focus your attention on the sealing." Tsunade assures her.

She infuses the chakra in her palm and places her hand on top of Kushina's heart to stabilize the central chakra node while Mito slowly directs all the Nine-tails chakra into Kushina's body.

The process lasts for half an hour until all the Nine-tails chakra is sealed within Kushina's body.

"The First Four Symbols Seal is complete. It's time to create and overlap the Second Symbol Seal."

Mito infuses chakra into her fingertips to plant the second Symbols seal.

Suddenly,

Dark red chakra shrouds Kushina's entire body. The dark red chakra repels Tsunade and Mito away.

"This is…" Tsunade stares at Kushina in surprise.

"Her vitals are returning to normal, but… but what's happening to Kushina?" Tsunade asks Mito.

"It's the Nine-tails!" Mito answers her.

"The Nine-tails is using its chakra to heal Kushina's body since Kushina is its new host. If anything happens to Kushina, then it will also perish with her. But the current situation isn't looking good." Mito makes a few hand signs.

"The Nine-tails is influencing Kushina's mind and is attempting to take over her body. If it succeeds, then the Nine-tails will be unleashed in the village and Kushina will die in the process. I am preparing a suppression seal to suppress Nine-tails. Pin her down so I can plant the seal on her body." Mito informs them.

"Yes, Oba-san!"

"I will do it, Grandma!"

"I will follow your order, Lady Mito!"

Kisuke, Tsunade, and Hiruzen swiftly take action to imprison the rampaging Kushina in her version one-tailed beast form.

"We can't use much force or it will affect Kushina's body."

Kushina leans on all four and growls at them. The red chakra envelops her entire body and generates a single tail on her back.

Kisuke releases multiple Adamantine sealing chains to pin her down.

Whoosh… swoosh…

Kushina swiftly dodges the chains and maneuvers through them. Hiruzen uses this opportunity to close the distance.

ROAR…

Kushina releases a powerful roar infused with wind chakra and blasts him away.

"Now, Tsunade!"

Whoosh…

Tsunade appears above Kushina and raises her leg and swings it down to deliver an axe kick.

Swoosh…

Kushina blocks the axe kick with her chakra tail.

"I am sorry, Kushina!"

Tsunade inserts more force in her kick and overpowers Kushina.

Bang…

Kushina slams into the ground and creates a crater on the ground.

Fwoosh…

Kisuke's adamantine sealing chains quickly bind her and pin her on the ground.

ROAR…

Kushina struggles to get free from the chains.

"Oba-san, hurry up! I can't hold back any longer. If I use more of my strength, then I might harm Kushina beyond recovery." Kisuke struggles to hold Kushina back without harming her.

Inside Kushina's mindscape, Kushina is curled up at a spot as she leans onto her knees.

"Grandpa left me! Sob!"

"Father left me! Sob… sob…"

"Mother left me! Sob… sob… sob…"

Tears flow from her eyes as darkness envelops her surroundings. Only a faint spot of light is present around her body.

"Now even Grandma is leaving me alone!"

Sob… sob…

Kushina sniffles.

"Kushina is a good girl. She always listens to Papa, Mama, and Grandma… then why… why left me all alone? WHY? Does no one like Kushina?"

Memories of the school bully taunting her for her hair color flood her mind.

'Look at those ugly red hairs!'

'She isn't from this village; she is not one of us!'

'Why is even a girl like her present in the academy?'

'She wants to become the Hokage? An outsider like her!'

The taunts and mockery of others echo in her surroundings.

"No! NO!" Kushina covers her ears, but the echoes persist in her mind.

"NOOOOOO!"

ROAR…

Kushina roars and releases a powerful burst of chakra. The chains holding her down snap in half. A second chakra tail grows out of her body.

Whoosh…

She kicks the ground and fled towards the exit of the Senju command. The sudden burst of chakra startles everyone.

"She is attempting to escape!" Tsunade shouts and chases after her.

Kushina turns around and notices Tsunade. She increases her speed drastically and almost reaches the exit of the Senju clan.

BANG…

Kushina slams into the barrier and falls to the ground.

ROAR…

It releases an angry roar and turns towards Tsunade.

Whoosh…

She charges toward Tsunade and tackles her.

"Kushina! Come back. I don't want to harm you." Tsunade crosses her arm and blocks Kushina's attack.

Slash…

Kushina forms chakra claws around her hand and swipes Tsunade's arms.

Splash…

Blood spills from Tsunade's arm, leaving claw marks on both of her arms.

Argh…

Tsunade winces in pain and falls back.

Grrr…

The pupil in Kushina's eyes turns into slits and she growls at Tsunade and the rest.

"Tsunade!" Kisuke and Hiruzen hurriedly flicker beside her.

"Are you alright?" They glance at the deep wounds in her arms.

"I am alright!" Tsunade grits her teeth and uses the 'Mystic Palm Technique' to rapidly heal her wounds.

Growl…

Kushina releases a howl and charges toward the three of them.

"Let me take care of it!"

Hiruzen jumps in front of the group.

Swish… swish…

He makes some rapid hand signs.

"Earth Release: Earth Flow River,"

He infuses a large amount of chakra into his hands and slams them on the ground.

SHOOM…

The entire plot of land in front of him turns into a muddy swamp. The charging Kushina loses her momentum and gets pulled into the swamp. She struggles vehemently to escape from the mud swap.

Swish… swish…

Hiruzen makes more hand signs.

"Earth Release: Mud Prison,"

He manipulates the surrounding swamp and generates a giant prison to hold her down.

Kisuke uses this opportunity to create multiple Adamantine sealing chains.

"NO! NOOO! Leave me alone!" Kushina screams as the voice of bullies grows louder and louder in her mind.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!"

BOOM…

A gigantic explosion occurs at Kushina's position. An overwhelming amount of chakra erupts from her body. The dense red chakra becomes visible to the naked eye. It forms a gigantic vortex and blows away the surroundings. Kisuke's adamantine sealing chains get repelled by the sudden tremendous flow of the chakra.

"This chakra!"

Everyone's eyes widen in shock.

SHOOM…

Another chakra tail sprouts from Kushina's body.

"Three tails already!" Mito murmurs in shock.

"Kushina! You can't lose yourself." She speaks in a pained voice.

RRROOOAAARRR…

Kushina releases a powerful scream infused with wind chakra. The wind pressure generated by the scream blows away the mud prison around her.

Kushina lifts her front paw and slams it into the ground.

BOOM…

Massive shockwaves reverberate through the ground. The powerful force generated by the impact creates a gigantic crater of tens of meters in size.

Tsunade, Kisuke, and Hiruzen cover their eyes to block the dust and debris flying their way.
