Chapter 18 Cheater!

"I have no intention of deceiving Grandma Jiang in the slightest. Our meeting was completely by accident, Miss." Aaron Liu tried to explain that directly to the granddaughter in the house.

Jiang Lily smiled sarcastically at the man standing not far from her. It was confident that the man's clothes were wet after being caught in the rain outside.

Jiang Lily slightly pushed Aaron Liu, who could only stare at her as if without pity. The woman showed no empathy or sympathy. There were only suspicion and evil thoughts about the handsome man who managed to steal her grandmother's attention.

"Don't talk nonsense in front of me! I know a few con artists like you very well." Jiang Lily said that with great emphasis. As if warning of such deep hatred.

"Alright, Miss. I'll change my clothes first." Aaron Liu excused himself before leaving the beautiful woman who had helped him earlier that morning.

Fate was genuinely unexpected and beyond his expectations. He never imagined that the arrogant woman he met this morning was the granddaughter of Mrs. Jiang. Inevitably he had to deal directly with that beautiful woman.

Everything was so tricky for Aaron Liu. However, the man had no choice but to stay in that house. There was no longer a place to protect him from the scorching sun, rain and cold night.

"Don't expect you to be able to run away and live quietly in this house!" snapped Jiang Lily in a sarcastic tone and quite loud voice. She deliberately did so so that he could hear every word she said.

Jiang Lily's words were heard in Mrs. Jiang's room. The older woman immediately rushed out to meet her granddaughter.

Mrs. Jiang didn't understand her granddaughter's frustration with Aaron Liu. Her beloved beauty shouldn't have gone overboard with her. It was as if there was something that fostered resentment in Jiang Lily's heart.

"Lily!" snapped Mrs. Jiang with an angry face. "Can you behave a little better? Did grandma teach you to be that wild and rampant," annoyed an elderly lady who owned the luxurious mansion where Aaron Liu lived.

"Grandma!" Jiang Lily just lowered her head without daring to look at her grandmother. She was well aware that she was very guilty of being impolite. However, the woman was not pleased with Aaron Liu's presence in the house. She feared the foreign man would only take advantage of her grandmother.

"I don't want to see you being rude to Aaron!" warned Mrs. Jiang to her favourite granddaughter.

Although Jiang Lily couldn't take it, there was no way she could stand up to her grandmother. The moment she spoke aloud, she regretted disrespecting someone who had cared for her since childhood.

Long after, a servant happened to come by and approached the two of them. The servant announced the arrival of someone already in front of the house.

"A courier delivered some furniture here, Mr. Jiang," said the servant to the lady of the house.

"Send them in!" said Mrs. Jiang without many expressions. The woman walked straight to the main door to see the few people who had just arrived to deliver the new furniture.

Jiang Lily followed her grandmother, curious about the shipment that had just arrived. Her eyes lit up as soon as the items were unloaded from the car. It was as if Mrs. Jiang's granddaughter was amazed by the new furniture.

The woman approached her grandmother, hugging her tenderly. Jiang Lily tried to come to her grandmother and find out about the ownership of the items.

"Does Grandma want to use all those things in the room? Why not order two at once for my room, too?" protested Jiang Lily to the old woman who had loved and cared for her so much.

"Do you like them?" Mrs. Jiang asked her granddaughter.

"I like them very much, Grandma. They're all very much to my taste. They're perfect and just how I imagined them." Jiang Lily immediately touched some of the furniture chosen for her room. She expected that her grandmother's taste could have been better.

Inwardly, Mrs. Jiang was pleased to witness her granddaughter's response. She didn't expect that all of Aaron Liu's choices were very much in line with Jiang Lily's taste. It was as if the two of them were created to be together.

That gave rise to thoughts of no-no about the two of them. Mrs. Jiang wanted something impossible for them.

"You can use it for your room. I bought everything for your new room." Mrs. Jiang said excitedly.

"Thank you, Grandma." The girl immediately hugged the older woman who had replaced her parents. Jiang Lily loved her grandmother very much.

From a distance, Aaron Liu smiled happily to see Jiang Lily favouring his choice so much. He didn't expect her to love Mrs. Jiang so much. A feeling of sincere love was evident in every look in her eyes.

Aaron Liu was delighted with himself. At least he was of some use to the Jiang Family. Although, she still hated and disliked him.

"I will do my best for this family," Aaron Liu muttered quietly.
