"Well I will just hire someone who will cook and clean up my room while I sit down, relax, sleep and end up paying for the services rendered"- I replied with a smile
She looked at me for a while before returning to her duties, she washed the plates and passed it down to me so I will clean and arrange them properly in the plate shelf
"Seems you have already made up your mind to live as a rich and comfortable young dude. But always remember that you might need this cooking skills one day, cooking skills can be a life saver"- She replied
"I'm willing to learn if I can find someone who will teach me everything I need to know about cooking."- I replied with a smile
"That's not a problem, anytime I want to prepare anything. I would call you and show you how it's done, and that reminds me, do you have a girlfriend?"- She asked
I felt quite amused by that question but should I lie and pretend that I'm in a relationship?. She would likely find out from her boyfriend later, so there's no need to tell a lie
"Well, that's a good question. But I don't actually know the perfect answer to give you on that"- I replied
"What do you mean. You can start with a yes or no"- She replied
"I'm not in a relationship and I don't know if I would even get a chance to be in a good relationship. I usually fuck up any Opportunity I have with a girl"- I replied
"You can tell me about it and don't worry, I won't let another ear hear about what we are discussing now"- She assured me
We both grabbed a stool and sat down close to the cooking gas because it's going to be a long and interesting story. This was the first time I actually went into a deep conversation with a close friend.
I don't really talk about my relationship life that much, only on rare cases. And I often feel shy when I want to talk about it
"Back then in high school, I fell in love with a beautiful blonde girl and she was like the most prettiest creature I have ever seen. I'm pretty sure that God spent up to seven days trying to create a girl like her.
I actually told her my feelings and she was kinda surprised the first day I told her about everything I was thinking. We actually hanged out in the cafeteria, and within few weeks. We were in a temporary relationship"- I replied
"Why did you term it as a temporary relationship?. What went wrong there?"- She asked
"Initially, when I told her about my feelings. She was scared because she said that her father severely warned her not to get into a relationship with any guy until she's 19.
So we were in a temporary relationship incase anything should happen, we won't feel bad about it. Then one day, I decided to link up with her in our usual spot and what I saw broke my heart into pieces"- i replied, trying to wipe off the little tears in my eyes
She leaned forward towards me and used her hand to wipe off the tears in my eyes.
"What happened, did she betray you?"- She asked with curosity
"I saw here kissing two other guys and they were touching her body like it was nothing. I was so shocked to the extent that I stood there looking like someone who has been electrocuted.
I never knew she was in a relationship with two other guys and the thing that surprised me was how she was able to date two boys at the same time. I couldn't even read meaning to what I saw because it was too shocking to comprehend"- I replied
"Oh my goodness, how can the girl be so heartless. She didn't even care about your feelings
If she was already in love with two other guys, then why did she agree to go into a relationship with you, I mean that's crazy"- Micheal cut in
We were shocked to see him in the kitchen, that means he has been eavesdropping on our conversation ever since
"WTF, what are you doing here babe. I thought you were busy in the living room, you aren't supposed to be here"- Alexia called out to Micheal who was busy standing by the door like a police
"Where was it written that I don't have access to the kitchen, or is this now a private area for the both of you. Besides, what are you hiding?"- He asked rudely
I stood there, watching the both of them yell at each other. Wasn't ready to get caught up in this whole argument
"He doesn't have anything to hide, but we were discussing something quite important and I promise not to let another person know about this"- She replied, trying to push Micheal out of the kitchen
"Come on babe, I have been listening to you guys for the past forty five minutes. I heard every damn word and I promise not to talk about it ever again.
But for the record, that girl you were talking about it a total jerk, how on earth would she be in a relationship with two guys. Seems they were trying to practice a threesome"- He replied while bursting into laughter
"Hey stop it, I think it's time to leave.I and Andrew have some important things to discuss"- She replied
"Can't I contribute in the discussion, Andrew is also my friend too and we have known each other for long. I'm even surprised he hid this information from me for a very long time, seems there are some deep secret I don't even know about you"- He replied, directing his question to me
"Hey, I'm not hiding anything. What do I have to hide by the way?
I just don't want to talk about my relationship, that's all"- I replied
"But you are narrating the same issue you don't want to talk about with a girl"- He replied
I simply walked out of the kitchen when Alexia pulled me back and made me sit down on the stool
"I understand that you are heartbroken at this moment and I understand what it means to pass through such situation. I too have once encountered a guy who broke my heart to pieces.
I held in high esteem during our relationship days and I could even bet that he would never break my heart throughout his stay on earth. But it came as a shock when this young man tore my heart like a hungry lion"- She said
"What happened babe?. I can't believe you don't share such stories with me"- Micheal asked, looking so curious
"We don't ever get a chance to really talk about such stories and I don't like talking about it most times. It makes me sad"- She replied
"So. you prefer to share them with my best friend over here. That's okay then"- Micheal replied, while walking away from the kitchen door
"No baby please don't take it like that. Alright, fine, grab a stool and let me share it with the both of you"- She replied
Micheal smiled immediately he heard those words and he rushed down to the living room and came back with a stool which placed close to the door.
I was trying to avoid this all along, but it seems that the story I have been trying to hide from them has finally forced it's way out of my mouth
"Okay. so what happened between you and your former boyfriend, did he cheat on you?"- Micheal asked with curosity
"If he had cheated on me, that would have been far more better. At least I would know that he was not faithful at all"- She replied,
I was quite surprised when little drop of tears rolled down her cheeks, seems we are all going to end up crying today. But all the same, I would love to hear her own story since she has already listened to mine
"Stop crying sweetheart, just let it go and tell us what happened. Perhaps after today, you won't even remember anything that has to do with your ex-boyfriend. I can assure you of that"- Micheal replied
"Yeah, Micheal is right. You have to let it go, if not you will not find Internal peace. The main reason why I never really believe in myself whenever I approach a lady is because the memories of my previous relationship in high school always flash back in my mind.
Making lose my cool, whenever I'm talking with a beautiful lady. But now that I have told you guys the story, I feel some how relaxed"- I replied, trying to gently force her to talk
"That's right. But you still haven't finished your story"- Michael replied
"How do you mean?"- I asked, looking somehow confused at this point
"Well, you didn't tell us what you did to the girl and how she reacted when she caught her red handed. I really want to know what happened next"- He replied with a smile
"That's not a problem, we will deal with mine after Alexia tells us her own sad relationship story"- I replied, directing my attention to Alexia
"Okay. It all started when I went through his phone one day while he was busy taking his bath. Our relationship was going to clock one year and two months that very day and all this time, I have never for once checked his phone messages or contacts before.
Because I trusted him with all my heart, but he does check mine every week. So on that faithful day, he was busy taking his bath and when his phone rang, I found out that it was a message from one of his close friends.
Based on the fact that they were so closed, I decided to unlock his phone and check out what was going on between the both of them. But that action of mine made me realize that I have been living with a playboy all my life.
He and his five friends all made a bet that he would make me fall in love with him to the extent where it would somehow look as if we were couples. Scrolling through their chat, I saw some voice notes and when I played it, I heard his friend saying some ill stuffs about me
And the painful part of this was that his friend would always laugh and joke with me anytime he sees me, I even call him my buddy. But I didn't know that he hated me strong passion, he said that I was too proud and pompous because of my beauty. I saw a link in their chat and when I clicked it, it took me to a what's app group where him and some other friends were discussing about my matter
They named the group as "Ruin the life of Alexia". And in that group, they all made a bet of $300,000 and anyone who succeeded in making me fall in love with him would walk home with the cash prize"- She said
I and Micheal were short of words, it was as if someone poured us with chilled water. How can some group of boys be this heartless in life, I could never have imagined that such things do exist
"I'm quite surprised and short of words at the same time, so you mean you went through all these and you never for once told me about it"- Micheal replied, looking so confused
"I'm not done yet. wait let me finish the story before you say anything"- Alexia replied, trying to get back to her story mode
We all remained calm and waited for her to take a deep breath and get back to the story
"So when they placed the bet, my ex boyfriend said he can make me fall in love with him without any stress. They all laughed at first, and they finally gave him a chance to show his playboy skills ok me.
