Becoming a God

An old man who looked as if he was a bag of bones barely stood still in this blank white void. He then spoke up with a slight tremble "Is this the afterlife? I knew my time was near dammit why couldn't one-piece finish even after 100 years! I Zhu Quan curse you Eiichiro Oda!"

"Quiet down will you!" A voice shouted that sounded extremely old yet firm.

"W-whos there?!" Zhu Quan asked as he turned around, his eyes darting across the void yet nothing, he saw nothing.

"I am God and you just so happened to come here." The voice once again replied as if to calm Zhu Quan.

"God? Really?!" Zhu Quan questioned as he was a little skeptical about the answer he had received.

"Yes, it seems you came here because of your karma." God answered.

"What do you mean by karma?" Zhu Quan asked curiously with a furrowed eyebrow.

"I'm sure you're aware of the concept of karma; the universal causal law by which good or bad actions determine the future modes of an individual's existence. It just so happens your karma is at exactly 0 which is a phenomenon that has never happened before." God replied.

"What does that mean for me?" Zhu Quan asked with a worried tone, he knew very well that in his life he has done some good deeds such as donating to charity and even volunteer work but had also been a trouble maker when he was younger and once nearly beat a kid to death.

"You are essentially a god right now. Only a god can have 0 karma as they are neither good nor bad and treat everything fairly although the case is quite different for you it is essentially the same. Anyone with 0 karma is a god and now you too are a god but I guess I need to give you the power of one first." God replied as suddenly a bright emerald green beam of energy hit Zhu Quan causing immense pain.

Zhu Quan shut his eyes afraid, however, after a while the pain began to reside and his body felt lighter. He opened his eyes to see that his once old, wrinkly hands had turned young, and smooth and his body was now vivacious. Zhu Quan then asked, "W-what has happened to me?"

Once he said this his head suffered a headache as he began to clench his head in agony and screamed "ARGHH!"

With this headache a wave of knowledge and memories entered Zhu Quan, he knew everything now, how the universe was created, what people thought every language, every talent, and skill. Zhu Quan had now become one with the myriad multiverse. His once human emotions had now changed and were now impartial to everything yet he still had some emotions and thoughts from his original self lingering.

"I see, I am now a god." Zhu Quan spoke fair as his every word sounded wise.

"Yes, you are now the second god besides me of course." God replied. Now that Zhu Quan had become a God, the other God's appearance could now be seen and it was a dark black ball that seemed like an abyss.

"Now that I'm a got I realize everything is useless and nothing has meaning but my human side still yearns to find satisfaction." Zhu Quan said as he now began to float.

"Well, why not listen to that side of yourself?" God asked.

"I guess you are right in that case I will allow my human desires and emotions to come forth." Upon saying that his stoic expression from the transformation turned into a gentle and warm smile. Before he continued "I think I should go on a journey."

"Oh to where?" Asked God curiously.

"Well ever since I read it I always wanted to go there and that is the world of 'Apotheosis'." Zhu Quan replied.

"I see, in that case, do as you wish." God replied as he disappeared.

Zhu Quan then waved his hand summoning a mirror. "I guess this appearance is ok but I should change it slightly." Zhu Quan said as he stared at a short-haired young adult with pale asking, midnight black hair, and ebony abyssal eyes.

Then his appearance changed slightly with the short spikey hair growing long and became thinner almost similar to silk then styled itself into a ponytail with some trans going over the shoulder down to the chest. Then his clothes changed from rags to a long white robe with black lacing and a golden bun to hold his hair.

"This is good enough, now let's head to Apotheosis!" Zhu Quan said as he once again waved his hand being enshrouded by a thick dark purple mist as he disappeared from the space.....

A/N: I was not going to do it like this at first but decided to anyway, either way hope you enjoyed it and look forward to the next chapter which will be written tomorrow.
