Chapter 20: The prodigy's choice

LENA'S DREAM

Lena was in a dark place there was absolutely nothing but just darkness, but then she distinguishes the figure of a person slowly approaching with a smile.

"Who are you?" Lena asks her nervously as she senses the presence of the person who she can now see is a girl about her age, but somewhat familiar looking to Lena.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Lena, I'm Raizor's older sister, my name is Anna" Answers the girl leaving Lena surprised since Raizor never mentioned to her that he had an older sister, something that Anna knew just by seeing the other's reaction.

"Where are we?" Lena asks staring at her as she doesn't trust her to tell the truth especially after she appeared out of nowhere, but what surprises Lena is that Anna snaps her fingers and shows her that they are in her room.

Lena looks to the side seeing that she herself is there sleeping peacefully making it clear to her that they are in her mind and that somehow Anna can get into people's minds.

"Now that you know where we are answer me this, will you stop being useless to Raizor?" Anna says staring at her, seeing how Lena is surprised to hear her say that, but before she can answer Anna snaps her fingers again making her see everything she experienced so far with Raizor.

"You always stand by watching from afar while everyone fights to protect you, my brother took care of you since forever, but when will you be the one to do something for him" Anna says in a firm tone looking at her seriously making her see that she is right in what she says, but before Lena can say anything everything around her started to glow.

"Well, apparently you are about to wake up, anyway, Lena think well what I ask you because there will come a time when you will have to decide between continuing with your life as a prodigy girl or being..." Lena is shocked to hear the last thing Anna said.

END OF DREAM

"LENA WAKE UP!" Euphi shouts at her waking Lena up and sees how outside her room is all smashed up, and then Erick appears after breaking through the wall of her room.

"Euphi, what's going on?" asks Lena as she gets up to help Erick who pulls himself together and then pushes the girls away and then stops a sword in its tracks to give Euphi a chance to get up and then kick the attacker.

"We'll explain everything later, now we have to go" Erick tells him as he grabs the sword that the guy lost, then walks over to the window seeing that they are surrounded by North Korean soldiers.

"Shit, this is not good" Erick said in his mind as he tries to think of a plan, but he feels the guy from before trying to attack him again, but this time Erick quickly dodges his attacks and runs him through without any mercy as the guy spits blood and falls down dead.

Lena couldn't believe what she was seeing through the window, around the house there were at least fifteen soldiers aiming at them, but before the boys could think of anything they heard the voice of a person outside.

"Members of the death spies team, hand over the girl Lena Striker to us and no one will get hurt" Said the person standing on top of a convoy looking with a smile at Erick who quickly throws the sword to the ground in anger.

"Erick what do we do" Euphi asks him watching as he sits up and puts his hands on his head to think of what to do knowing that Raizor can't help them.

"Lena don't even think I'll let you do what they want" Erick tells her knowing Lena was going to say something to him about that, but she clenches her fists thinking again she won't do anything to help.

"It's the only way to get out of here alive" Lena says as she turns around looking at the Korean soldiers waiting for orders from their leader who is also waiting to see what their decision is.

"I will die at Raizor's hands if anything happens to you so, we have no choice but to fight them Euphi" Erick tells her surprising Lena by what he mentioned about Raizor, but then he sees how Euphi nods to what he said.

"Lena stay here, we'll explain everything then-" Erick didn't finish speaking as Lena interrupted him as he stood up.

"I want you to explain everything now, or I won't let you leave," Lena says to them, giving them a withering look that makes Erick sigh and look at Euphi who nods to her.

"Alright Lena...Raizor will be consumed by the element of darkness this year or next and that's why I need you to be with us because you are the only one who will be able to get him back in control" Erick tells her staring at her seeing her eyes widen like a plate and he is also left wondering why Euphi doesn't react in a surprised way.

"Lena before you ask, I am the member of the death spy team that Raizor mentioned was missing and if you don't believe me..." Euphi tells her changing her eyes from brown to dark blue her real eye colour.

"Euphi is Raizor's best friend since a long time and to avoid that we are always around you leaving everyone suspicious of us, Raizor asked her to take care of you" Erick says looking sideways at Euphi who changes her eye colour again looking at Lena who doesn't know what to say.

"It was easy for me since we knew each other before so I didn't have to pretend to want to be your friend, I like being your friend and I want to continue being your best friend" Euphi says looking at her trying to make Lena not want to walk away from her for not telling her the truth.

"Erick, why is Raizor going to be consumed by the dark element?" Lena asks looking seriously at Erick who feels a chill as he looks into her eyes.

"Because his emotions are being lost and the dark element feeds on the lack of them, Raizor for at least ten years has been trying to avoid that, but he always knew that the day would come when his emotions would disappear giving the chance for the element of darkness to replace them to finish making him the most powerful person in the world as he always should have been for many" Erick answers looking at Lena who doesn't know how to react since she just remembered what Anna told him about the decision he would have to make someday.

"Lena doesn't have much time left, I need you to make a decision to continue with your normal life or become part of our team" Euphi says grabbing her left hand so that she thinks about what she will say because it is the decision that will change her life forever.

Lena stays quiet thinking about everything that is going on especially trying to process Raizor who in the end looks like his sister told Lena all that since she is the only one who can calm him down if he loses control.

"To hell with my prodigy girl life I want to go with them and I want to be together with Raizor, I will become stronger so I don't want anyone else to have to protect me anymore, I will become..." Lena said in her mind as she clenches her right fist tightly and looks confidently at Erick and Euphi who instantly knew what Lena's decision was.

The boys went outside the house watching as all the Korean soldiers raised their weapons and some were preparing to conjure up any attack just in case as she waited for Lena to surrender.

"Mom, dad, brothers I'm sorry, but my decision has been made and I promise I will be back to tell you all" Lena said in her mind as she looks sideways at Erick and Euphi who smile at her giving her the confidence and reassurance that she is not alone.

"I see you made a good decision" The person who commanded the rest of the soldiers tells them, but then he sees how Erick smiles and his eyes start to emanate an aura of darkness calling the attention of many soldiers who prepare to attack with fire element attacks, but then they also see how Euphi's eyes change from brown to dark blue.

Everyone was terrified as Euphi and Erick's bodies began to glow and then they see a suit of armor appear above them, but then it disappears leaving the death spies' team suits in view, Erick's suit was blue and Euphi's was purple.

"It's been a long time since we've used the suits Erick" Euphi says to him looking sideways at Erick who stares at the soldiers counting how many there are, but then looks at Euphi with a smile.

"Yeah, I forgot how beautiful you look in the outfit Euphi" Erick tells her seeing how she blushes causing Lena to laugh and then also look at the soldiers who don't understand what's going on, until they see how Euphi's fists start to emanate a strong red aura.

"Affinity with the fire element: Flames of purgatory" said Euphi raising his fists smiling at the soldiers who came as the fists hit the ground causing large flames to burn several soldiers who scream in pain as the flames scorch them leaving only five guards.

"I see that only those with an affinity for an element survived the attack, how interesting," said Erick looking at the survivors with a smile and then making a sword appear which Lena recognised as it was the same one he used when he faced Raizor.

"Wind element affinity: Wind speed cut" Erick said raising his sword to his shoulder height letting everyone watch as it glows green and a large amount of wind swirls around him like a tornado.

Erick smiles at the guy in the convoy who tried to warn his soldiers, but it was too late as Erick made a slash in the air that shot towards the soldiers who tried to defend themselves with their affinity to an element, but no one felt anything until they started to spit blood and fall one by one.

Then an incredible slash exploded the convoy sending the guy flying and he fell in front of the three of them on his knees taking a knee from Erick who then grabbed him and threw him in front of Lena.

"Miss Lena, you should know that we came here on your mother's orders, we didn't want to hurt you," said the guy, terrified by the look on Lena's face, her eyes widening as she heard him say that it was her mother's orders, giving her to understand that they were going to hurt her friends.

"Tell my mother, I'll talk to her when it's all over and the next time I send other soldiers I'll kill them myself" Lena tells him with a fixed and withering look at the guy who nods and leaves the scene.

"Are you alright Lena?" Euphi asks grabbing her hand watching as her best friend starts to tear up, but she quickly wipes her tears and smiles at Euphi and then looks at Erick, who before she can ask him anything he looks in the direction of where Raizor went seeing the sign he told her.

"Let's go, we have to go with Raizor" Erick said looking at the sign nervously as it only meant that Raizor has reached his limit and that he can't fight anymore.

WITH RAIZOR 

Minutes before the attack of the Korean soldiers happened, Raizor was fighting against Jack, Emma and John in a melee, where Raizor has the advantage because of his great speed and agility when it comes to blocking the attacks of the other three.

Raizor blocks two of John's punches and then kicks him back, then blocks five consecutive punches from Emma who is surprised by his speed of reaction, but then ends up getting punched in the face followed by a kick that sends her flying into a wall and breaking it.

"It's...too strong...I never thought it would be like this," Emma said in her mind as she rejoins her body, but she sees with her own eyes how Jack is thrown to his side after receiving five punches followed by a spinning kick.

Raizor slowly approaches them, but stops himself by blocking a kick from John who then starts throwing several consecutive punches at him leaving Emma and Jack surprised as Raizor blocks all the punches at a high speed and then knees him in the stomach and then smashes him to the ground after grabbing him by the head.

"Sometimes I think you never understand John, you're a piece of shit just like those two who pretended to be friends with Lena just to spy on her and get information for Germany" Raizor tells him as he puts his foot on John's head who can't get up because of the pain he feels in his stomach.

"Raizor, that's enough" Jack says getting up with the help of Emma who is terrified as she looks Raizor in the eyes, seeing how his eyes emanate a trail of darkness strongly.

Raizor pulls his foot out of John's head and walks over to Jack punching him in the stomach and then kicking him into a wall knocking the wind out of him on impact.

Emma tries to attack him quickly with ten punches followed by four kicks, but Raizor blocks all the punches and kicks and then knees her in the stomach to leave her breathless, but he throws five consecutive punches followed by a spinning kick that sent her into Jack who was able to recover just in time to catch her and prevent her from getting hurt worse from the collision.

"At last it looks like he's reached his limit" John said in his mind as he watched out of the corner of his eye as Raizor now raises his hand which begins to emanate an aura of darkness, but sees how he is panting with exhaustion realizing that Raizor has reached his limit.

"Fuck, I've reached my limit I guess that's it, but they won't go away leaving Lena with that lie that they are friends" Raizor said in his mind as he lowers his hand and pulls out a flare gun then shoots it into the sky with a smile leaving Emma and Jack confused as John quickly stands up with a sword in his hand.

John lunges at Raizor who for the first time can't block anything and takes two slashes to his back and then gets a spinning kick that sends him to the ground, but John doesn't kill him as he feels Erick, Euphi and Lena approaching at full speed.

"Damn it, let's get out of here before-" John doesn't finish speaking because when he looks behind him he sees the figures of the two most dangerous members of the team of the spies of death, a team of which he was a part because now with the scene in front of the three people who are watching him he confirms that the three traitors were always them and that now Raizor is fainted only makes it clear that he will not be able to fight again.
