Scarlet flinched when his hands moved up, not because he scared her, but due to how cold they felt against her warm skin. It didn't take long for her back to be pressed against the door and Ian did his best to get her shirt off.
It would have been easier if he had allowed her to get undressed to wash up first but he was too impatient.
Scarlet shivered when her shirt fell and her skin was exposed to the cold air in the room. Ian had spent the previous night and today on her estate so no one had kept his room warm. Scarlet tried to ignore the coldness, but Ian noticed it.
He muttered something under his breath as he pulled away from her, going to the fireplace to bring some warmth to the room.
