Ethan And Zara's Past

Eleanor was once again taken aback upon hearing that Zara was alive. She turned to her husband and in a shaky voice, questioned, "Is it really true? Zara is alive?" Thomas simply nodded in response, gazing at his wife.

Eleanor, feeling as though she was in a fog, glanced at Ethan and inquired, "Is it true, Ethan?" Ethan leaned in closer, sitting across from Eleanor, and replied, "Yes, Grandma. Grandpa already knew, but he kept it from me."

Eleanor, upon learning that her husband had concealed such important news from Ethan, shot him an angry look and demanded, "Are you out of your mind? How could you keep something like this from Ethan?"

Thomas realized he couldn't avoid his wife's scolding, so he stayed quiet. However, he glanced up and admitted, "But you can't blame me for this. I asked him to investigate, but he refused."

"Even though he refused, how could you keep this from me? You didn't even mention it," Eleanor interrogated Thomas, not giving him any room to escape. "Fine, I was wrong. I'm sorry, dear."

Eleanor rolled her eyes and turned to Ethan, inquiring, "Did you see Zara, Ethan?" Ethan nodded and replied, "Yes, Grandma." "Do you have a picture of her? I'd love to see how beautiful Zara has become."

"I don't have a picture of her, Grandma." Thomas glancing at David who stood behind him and asked, "Can't you find any picture of Zara?"

"No, Mr. Thomas. We could only gather some information about her. There's not a single picture of her anywhere," David replied, looking at Thomas.

"That's alright. Ethan, bring Zara back sometime," Eleanor said, looking at her grandson. Ethan nodded, giving her a small smile.

Unable to contain his curiosity about who Zara was and her connection with the boss, David turned to Butler Beau and asked, "Butler Beau, do you happen to know who this Ms. Zara is and what her relationship is with the boss?"

Eleanor, who was seated directly in front of them, overheard his inquiry and inquired, "David." "Yes, Mrs. Anderson," David responded, shifting to the side to ensure Eleanor could see him.

Eleanor glanced at David and inquired, "Are you interested in learning about your boss's past?" David felt a wave of embarrassment wash over him upon hearing the question directed at him.

David turned his gaze towards his boss, who appeared indifferent with no visible reaction on his face. Observing the two older individuals wearing warm smiles, he nervously asked while absentmindedly tucking a strand of hair, "I was just curious, Mrs. Anderson."

Eleanor flashed a smile at David and glanced over at Thomas. Thomas returned the smile and chimed in, "If you're curious, I can share the story. We all enjoy reminiscing about those days. Would you like to hear?"

David eagerly nodded his head without hesitation. Eleanor and Thomas exchanged smiles, noticing his enthusiasm to learn more. Eleanor turned her attention to her grandson and asked, "Are you also interested in hearing about it?"

Ethan gazed at his grandma and replied, "I remember those days, Grandma." "If you're interested, go ahead and listen. It's not like you have to pay for the story," Eleanor said, gesturing for her husband to begin.

Thomas inquired with a grin, "Did you ever witness your boss chasing after any girl?" David replied, "Highly unlikely, Mr. Thomas. Girls always seem to be the ones chasing Mr. Ethan. He hasn't even glanced at anyone."

"Do you think it's possible that your boss used to pursue a girl relentlessly in the past?" Thomas asked with a smile. David was taken aback by the revelation about his boss's past behavior.

Despite the shocking news, David still found it hard to believe. He glanced at Thomas and shook his head. "Over 17 years ago, Zara Adam, the eldest daughter of the Adam family, was engaged to Ethan. The arrangement was made by me, Mathew Adam, your boss's mother, and Kylie Adam, as they were all close friends."

Version 1:

"Back then, when Zara came into the world, Ethan was just a five-year-old who didn't pay much attention to it and didn't meet her at that time. However, his mother never gave up and always made an effort to arrange a meeting between them."

Thomas paused and grinned as he glanced at Ethan. "But little did we know that he would soon fall in love with her after finally meeting her. Even his mom was taken aback by how much Ethan changed whenever he was around Zara."

"Whenever Zara had some free time, she would bring her brothers along and Ethan would always be by her side, constantly asking what she wanted. He wouldn't leave her alone, even if her brothers tried to argue with him about it. But he didn't let it bother him and simply ignored them, remaining steadfastly by her side."

David was in disbelief as he listened to what he was hearing about his boss. He started to question whether he was actually hearing about his boss or not.

However, he continued to listen as Thomas spoke with a sigh, "But that didn't last long. When Ethan turned twelve, we sent him overseas. But it wasn't for a long time. During that period, we received news that the oldest daughter of the Adam family had been in a serious accident. As soon as Ethan heard the news, he immediately wanted to come back, and we didn't stop him. But before he could return, word of the Adam family's oldest daughter's passing had spread throughout the entire country."

"After that incident, Ethan was devastated. He poured all his energy into his studies and threw himself into work at the company to distract himself. He completely cut ties with Elbonia and if he ever visited, it was only for a short while." Thomas sighed, reminiscing about the past.

Eleanor chimed in, "But now he's back, and that's what matters." David was still processing everything, so he absentmindedly asked, "Wait, so you're saying Zara Adams from Averna is the same Zara Adams from the Adam family in Elbonia?"

"Yes, and remember, keep this information to yourself," Eleanor warned David with a serious expression.

David comprehended her intention and gave a nod in agreement. Until now, nobody in this nation had any knowledge about Zara Adam or any discussions related to her. This implies that the Adam family had flawlessly concealed her identity.

Ethan glanced at David, his expression icy and serious. "If a single word about this slips out of your mouth, consider your mouth sealed forever."

As David observed his boss's cold demeanor, a bead of sweat trickled down his back, causing him to shrink in fear and hastily cover his mouth. He vigorously shook his head in knowing.
