FRIENDLY ADVICE

Leonardo stood with Rob in his office in the distillery. He eyed the table he had almost taken his wife on. He could feel his cock arising with just the thought.

"Don, here is the rat", a soldier said as he pushed a tied up bloody man on the floor.

Leonardo raised an eyebrow. "Dominic you know I don't give second chances", he growled.

"I know that Don. It was a mistake. I didn't know how it got out", Dominic begged.

"Of course you wouldn't because you were with a slut when you were to be on duty", Rob interrupted.

"You let your guard down and someone access information under your care", he said.

"Only your team knew of this and you are the leader. Once I get rid of the root of the problem, the stem and branches would fall", Leonardo said.

"Forgive me, Don. I just took some time off to relax….", Dominic was interrupted.

"Do you think our enemies are taking time off?", Leonardo snarled.

Dominic hesitated.

"Answer the question you fool", Leonardo said walking towards him.

"No Don", Dominic replied, trying to crawl away.

Leonardo kicked him on his stomach and he threw his head back in pain.

"I wouldn't waste my time on you. But you interrupted my honeymoon. You dare interrupt my honeymoon", Leonardo said lethally calm.

He nodded at the soldier.

"Don please, please….", Dominic begged as he got dragged away.

"I could have handled this, Don", Rob said.

"I'm sure", Leonardo replied coldly.

"I am your right hand man here, the soldiers know about that", Rob said, fighting the urge to say best friend.

"I know, Rob. But it is not your fight", Leonardo replied.

"I know but….".

"There is no but. It is my fight and I will not sit and watch you fight for me", Leonardo interrupted him and continued. "I am going back to my wife. You're in charge now", he said as he walked out of the office.

True to her word, Arya spent the afternoon reading in the library. Her mind strayed to her husband whose gazes is as cold as ice. He never showed any emotion except few times when they're together. She thought of calling him but decided against the idea.

She closed the book and picked up her phone. Even though she knew he would most likely not answer, she called him.

To her surprise he answered on the first ring.

"How is my wife feeling?", he asked.

"She's great", she replied, smiling.

"I am on my way home, kitten. Don't tell me you're still reading", he said.

"I am. I just thought of you", she said smiling.

He didn't speak for a second and her smile began to wane.

"I will get back to you", he said after breaking the silence and hung up.

Arya looked at her phone in shock. She hated this, one minute he was cold, the next he was hot. She wondered what was so important that he had to hang up on her. It was going so well until he uttered those last rubbish words.

Men, always ruining everything whenever they open their mouths. She rolled her eyes.

One of the maids walked in.

"Good day Ms. One of your friends is here for you", she said.

Arya was surprised because to her knowledge, she didn't have a friend. Curiosity got the better of her.

"Let her in but stand by", she said to the maid.

Few minutes later, a blonde walked in.

"Mrs. Marcello. How are you doing", she asked.

Arya's brow furrowed into a frown.

"What are you doing here, Maria?", she asked.

"I could ask you same because if you think you're having a honeymoon, think again. Friendly advice", Maria said with a stiff smile.

Arya chuckled. "When was the last time you thought about anything else but me, Maria? I am beginning to think you might want me more than you want Leonardo".

Maria frowned. "You can't handle him, he is very manly and raw and you are a princess who believes in fairytales. You are not woman enough for him".

"Don't tell me you came all this way just to say that", Arya replied.

"No, I have more to say. Soon, he will get tired of your juices and come back to me, a real woman that can handle him", Maria said unhinged.

"Learn some etiquette", Arya rolled her eyes. "You are way too vulgar to be a real woman".

Maria's patience ran thin.

"Aren't you surprised I'm here?", she asked.

Arya scoffed.

"I know Leonardo didn't spend the night with you because he spent the night with me", she lied. She was willing to lie to break Arya.

Arya's expression turned into a confused one for a second before she put on her nonchalant expression.

"Leonardo would never", she said.

"And yet, here I am", Maria retorted.

"And yet here you are, telling me to stay away from him. If you had him under wraps like you claim, you won't have to bother me. He would have made all these plans for you and not for me", Arya replied, not willing to let her broken heart show. Leonardo didn't in fact spend the night with her, he could have gone anywhere.

"I know how princesses like you are delusional", Maria said.

"Noted. Now leave", Arya said calmly.

"Only Leonardo can tell me to leave", Maria hissed.

Maria had snuck in after their rendezvous with Dominic. While he thought she was gone, she was hiding in one of the rooms and waited till she saw Leonardo leaving. She knew the news would reach him and he'd have to leave Arya alone for some hours. She had some minutes left to carry out the last part of her plan.

While Arya was lost in thought she tried to walk closer to poison her tea. A loud honk from outside stopped her on her tracks.

"Leonardo is here. You can go to him now", Arya said as she turned around eyeing Maria for moving closer to her.

Maria kissed her teeth. As much as she'd liked to put the cherry on the cake she had to be careful.

Once again, her planned failed.

"We will meet again, bitch", Maria cursed as she walked out of the library.

Arya released her breath and felt the pain go through her chest. If Leonardo had in fact been with Maria it would ruin what they had managed to achieve.
