Chapter 6: First dungeon raid

Marcus woke up the next morning and ate breakfast.

He went downstairs and saw the party from before, they all avoided his eyes.

"Hey you" he said.

The instigator looked up at him.

"Is he gonna kill him?"

"Poor guy"

"He has it coming"

Everyone looked at Marcus and wondered what he would do.

"Have you been to a dungeon yet?" he asked.

All of them looked at him confused.

"What?" the instigator asked.

"Answer me" Marcus said a bit angry.

"No sir!" he replied.

"Join me to raid the dungeon nearby" he said.

The whole party got stiff.

"Sir, I know your strong but we're not all that strong, we're not ready for a dungeon yet" he said.

"Shut up, you guys have the best equipment in this whole town, not matter how you hide it see some bronze equipment mixed in with all the normal grade stuff" he said. "Do you want to stay in Lavendar town forever or do you want success?" he asked.

All of them looked at each other.

"This stuff you got now isn't even all that compared to the stuff we could get from the dungeon, we could also level up a lot even with all the people we have" Marcus said.

Marcus walked to the door.

"If you want to grow you can follow me, if you want to be stagnant stay here" he said walking out.

The party looked at each other and thought for a second before instigator stood up.

"I'm going" he said smiling.

The girls stood up.

"I'm with you"

"Me too"

The rest stood up and the walked out, but they couldn't see him.

"He's gone?!"

"So fast!"

"I'm right here" Marcus said standing next to the door. "I'm glad you guys made the right choice" he said smiling.

"The names Oliver" the instigator said.

"I'm Marcus" Marcus said. "Let's go, no time to waste"

"He didn't ask our names" one of the girls said.

"I only need to know your name if your worth my time" Marcus said.

"Just show him what you've got and he'll beg you for your name" Oliver said as he touched her shoulder when he saw how mad she was.

She smiled.

They made it to what looked like a cave and stood at the entrance.

"You all join my party" Marcus said as he invited them to his party.

"The Phoenix party?" The tank asked.

"Yeah" he said.

[Beginner dungeon Bat cave]

[Which difficulty will be chosen]

[1.Easy mode]

[2.Normal mode]

[3.Hard mode]

[4.Hell mode]

"We should pick normal, that will help us to..." Oliver said while Marcus picked [Hell mode].

"Lets go" Marcus said.

"What the hell are you talking about?!" Oliver asked angrily.

"Relax, this is a beginner dungeon, it's [hell mode] is as difficult as a [normal mode] on regular Dungeons" Marcus said.

He looked at their party. "2 tanks, 3 damage dealers and 2 mages, this is enough for this dungeon" he said.

"If we're doing hell mode shouldn't we get a healer, or healing potions at least" the mage said as she held her staff tightly.

"Won't need either" Marcus said.

[Begin dungeon raid]

[Yes/No]

He pressed [Yes] and they entered the dungeon.

They were greeted by a dark cave.

"Mages, what spells do you guys have?" Marcus asked remembering he never did before.

"I have [Fireball] at level 2 and [Water bullet] at level 1 " the make mage said.

"I have [Amplify] at level 2 and [Mudslide] at level 2" the female mage said.

"That's impressive" he said. "Tanks get in position in front of us" he said pointing forward.

"Alright"

"Yes sir"

They both got into position as told.

"Me and Oliver will be right behind the tanks, you will stand behind us and guard the mages, when we get into a battle you'll take 10 steps back and keep that position" he said looking at the mages.

They nodded in agreement.

The party walked forward and saw a few pairs of red dots looking at them.

"Let's see how things go" Mar us said with a smile on his face.

Two bear sized bats appeared infront of them.

[Giant bat's]

[Level 5]

[Health: 600]

[Speed: 75]

[Attack: 350]

Skills:

[Screech]

[A loud screech generated by giant bats that stuns enemies]

[Effect 1: stun chance +100%]

[Duration: 2 minutes]

[Cooldown: 1 minute]

"Are you sure we can beat this?" Oliver said.

"One tank use taunt!" Marcus said.

The tank on the right used [Taunt].

[Taunt](active)

[A CC type skill that causes enemies to target one person to distract them]

[3 minutes]

The bat's both went for him.

"Secondary tank, hit the other bat and make sure our primary isn't overwhelmed, but down use your [Taunt] !" he said.

The second tank used [Shield bash] on the second bat and got its attention.

[Shield bash] (Active)

[A skill that causes damage to enemies by charging into them with a shield]

[Attack +20]

[Effect: knock back chance +20%]

[Cooldown: 2 minutes]

"Use amplify on our primary tank and increase his Vitality!" Marcus said. "You all attack the bat the secondary is distracting" he said.

[Amplify](active buff)

[A skill that allows a mage to increase a Stat of any chosen teammate]

[Number of stats that can be increased depend on mastery]

[Number of teammates that can be buffed increases with level]

[Cooldown time: 1 minute]

"And the other bat?!" the female asked as she buffed the Tank.

[+200HP]

"I'll take care of it, use the second [Amplify] on Oliver as he'll be doing the most of the damage" he said.

"Won't you need it?!" Oliver asked rushing towards the bat with sword and shield in hand.

'A shield warrior or maybe a knight' Marcus thought looking at Oliver.

"No I'm good" Marcus said as he disappeared from their view and used [Slash] on the [Giant bat].

Everyone was dumbfounded by the damage value.

[Enemy stunned!]

He stood behind the now dead [Giant bat] and turned around to see the shocked expressions of the party.

"Focus on the monster!" he yelled.

They carried on fighting for a short time when Marcus realized he should help them.

"That thing is tough" Oliver said.

"Tank, how long until you [Taunt] cooldown is up?" Marcus asked.

"1 minute" he said holding up his shield.

"Alright, we'll use the same strategy for the next fight, but this time our secondary will [Taunt]" Marcus said giving the Primary tank some Health potions.

[Health potions<bronze>]

[Heals 50 health once consumed]

"You have a bronze health potion?!" the male mage asked.

"Yes, I bought a few a couple days ago but never really needed them" Marcus said.

"I still have a lot of HP, there's no need to waste a potion this expensive on me" the tank said giving the potion back.

Marcus pushed his hand. "Your a tank, a very important part of the raid, if your not in top shape we can't fight like we do, drink it already" Marcus said as he walked to the female mage.

"Is your [Amplify] cooldown time up?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm good to go again" she said.

"Perfect, both of you make sure your Mana consumption isn't to high, and if you have any Mana potions use them before your comepletely out of Mana" he said. "We carry onwards" he said as he began moving deeper. They followed closely behind.
