The Red Princess

Ever since she was crowned Queen of Caray, Scarlet had been caged by the thoughts "Will she ever be as great as her late mother?". She soon lost sight of herself, making everyone under her authority terrified by her presence or rather childish exuberance. This earning her the monicker "The Red Princess" because of her fierce composure and unfriendly appearance. But all feared her except The head maid who had never been separated from her from birth, Maria Ferguson and the old kitchen maid who had waited upon her mother in her prime. One fateful day, a helicopter landed in Caray and only one survivor was found. His name was Chima Jackson, a Nigerian, he soon found a place in Scarlet's mansion. Chima falls first for her when he was enchanted by her aura but it was a forbidden love. Not only was he not a royalty of high standing, he was a biracial child. Unfortunately yet fortunately Scarlet returns her feelings for him but doesn't show it openly. They are opposed greatly for even knowing each other. As other royalties have their eyes on the throne of Caray and Scarlet herself will the two love birds stand firm in their resolution? Is their love strong enough to wade away the oppositions? How much can they bear till they choose to throw away their love? Will the forbidden love end up being futile? ***THIS IS PURELY FICTION*** Caray doesn't really exist. ***Chapter 16***

"Your arc isn't right!!!"

"Your fingers are too loose on the bow,"

"Onyinye,"

Nana kept correcting Onyinye, for the umpteenth time she looked at the young girl who was on the verge of tears and frowned, "What's wrong with you girl?" She asked.

Onyinye shook her head. "Nothing Nana," she said, wiping the tears from the corner of her eyes with her palm. Eve, who was sitting and leaning against the wall of the range, stood up. Hankie in hand, she walked to Onyinye.

"Here you go," she said as she handed it to her.

Onyinye looked at her and quickly bent her face to the floor, "I promise I'm not like this, I'm very good with my bow and arrows. I don't know what's happening to me today but I promise you, I'm going to win the tournament," she said in one breath.
