Dai Fen quickly did as Feng Xi asked and opened the door and said a few words. The Qiu sisters came right in dragging a young doctor in with his clothes ruffled and his hair all unkempt. Feng Xi paid him no mind as she got a pair of clamps and temporarily stopped her father's internal bleeding. She then turned to Prince Jin and said: "Jin'er keep an eye on things and let me know if something ruptures while I take care of this fucker."
Getting a nod from Prince Jin, Feng Xi turned her gaze towards the young doctor being held on the floor. Her smile, not even being close to reaching her eyes. "So you are the fucker who set up so many ways for my father to die? Not only did you not fix his internal injuries so that he would bleed to death, but you also caused even more bleeding! To top it off you also left a special present inside just in case. Once the body reacted to it, this little pouch would break open releasing the contents inside."
Feng Xi grabbed the small pouch from the tray and carefully waved it back and forth for the doctor to see. Her whole body now radiating a killing intent as she continued: "But you see my father can not accept your present. Something like this is too rich for us. So all I can do is say thank you and say sorry because we will be returning this gift."
The doctor saw Feng Xi walking towards him with the pouch in her hand and fear rose up inside him. "Wait, I can tell you who is behind this.!" The young doctor's gaze turned towards Prince Jin and said: "It was the Fifth Prince! Under orders from his mother!"
Prince Jin did not even look at the young doctor nor did Feng Xi pause her steps. She did not care who was issuing the orders, anyone one involved would die! "Pry his mouth open."
"Yes, Boss!" Qiu Ya quickly moved and kicked the young doctor's stomach, making him open his mouth. She then jabbed her fingers into his jaw making it so he could not close it again until she removed her hand.
Feng Xi gently placed the small pouch into the young doctor's mouth all the way into the back of his throat. As she retrieved her hand she made sure to tear the membrane with her fingernail, carefully not to get any of the substance on her fingers. Qiu Ya then let go of the young doctor's jaw and instantly a horrid scream could be heard from the young doctor's mouth, that slowly turned to gurgles. Blood flowed from his mouth. The area around his throat began to literally melt in front of everyone's eyes. A ghastly hole formed allowing everyone to see inside the young doctor's body.
Feng Xi did not even blink at the ghastly sight as she said: "To think he put such a thing inside my father. This kind of gift, I truly am not worthy of accepting."
After saying these words she paid the dying young doctor no mind and went to wash her hands again. She changed her gloves and went back to work fixing up her father. Before she stopped she had already stopped the bleeding. Which is why she was able to stop doing what she was doing and go deal with the young doctor.
The moment she removed the small pouch and clamped the main artery her father's life was out of danger. She quickly finished up the rest of the surgery and then sewed up the wound. Her movements were fast as if they had been practiced a million times. The wound itself was also stitched up very cleanly. Once she was done she removed the needles and finally let out a sigh.
"My father is out of danger for now. Besides his other wounds that were done correctly, this was the only place that fucker set up to kill my father. He had even snipped some of the blood vessels inside the wound to make him bleed more." Feng Xi finally said. She took off her gloves and sat down in a chair. Prince Jin came over with a dry towel and patted the sweat off her forehead.
"Give me time to investigate who is behind this. From what I can see all sources point to my fifth brother who is twelve years of age. But his mother is not one to care about the royal court and has no connections to get such dangerous chemicals." Prince Jin tried to explain. It was obvious that whoever was behind this was in the imperial palace but it was just who was behind it.
"No need to worry about who it was. If they have access enough to tell your younger brother's guards what to do then there is only one person besides his mother that can do that. The person who wanted the command token in the first place. Imperial Consort Yun. But even if she has the token in her hands she can not use it. Not yet. Mainly because I am still alive and she does not know if my father is dead yet. This means that until we are both dead she can not do a thing with the military." Feng Xi explained she then pulled on Prince Jin's hand bringing his face close to hers. She puckered her lips asking for a kiss which made Prince Jin smile. He, of course, did not delay to give her what she asked for.
After their lips parted Prince Jin gave her a serious look and asked: "When will it be safe to move your father?"
"By tomorrow morning. I will know for sure that everything I did was correct. As long as he has no complications tonight he can be moved." Feng Xi explained.
"Then I will have a room prepared for him in my palace. You and your people will come live with me." Prince Jin knew the safest place for both Feng Xi and her father was at his side.
"That's fine with me. We have been sharing a bed for a while now so I don't think I can sleep without you next to me now anyways." Feng Xi got up from the chair and wrapped her arms around Prince Jin's waist giving Prince Jin a hug. She then released him and looked at Dai Fen. "Grandpa Dai where is that servant?"
"He is in the next room Young Miss."
