Chapter Sixty-Five: Lateng
Seraphina's POV
To be sure Elisa still remembered the people in her life, Ed was brought to her, and she recognized him. She also recognized all the members of the household.
Except me!
But after a while, she didn't look at me with the gaze of a stranger, so I tried to push my sad feelings down. "Do you know why you fainted?"
"Or why you suddenly cried when you woke up?" Luther asked. It had probably been bothering him since she never cried or showed any emotion at all.
"People cry. Get over it," she said dismissively, with a more casual tone than I usually heard. She seemed different, honestly. More outspoken too.
She sat up and smiled at me. My breath caught. She was really pretty when she smiled, and not that I'd fawn over my own cousin, but there was no occasion for her to smile at me suddenly after worrying everyone.
"You were working in your pack, right?" she asked.
