"Where is she!" Spheris yelled, taking a swipe at the floating head. The blade sliced through, but like smoke, the head just reformed, mocking his desperation.
Bastopher swirled around him, his laughter echoed and grew louder, more vicious.
"What do you think of my Expanded Realm?" he mused. "Poetic, isn't it? Don't judge it too harshly, I didn't have much time to design it."
He swirled around, chuckling. "I see you killed my Beasts, and with such ease too." Bastopher smiled. "You are strong. But you are only strong because you have my power. What you are... what you are able to do is what I would've been able to do, if only you hadn't stolen from me."
Spheris struck at him again, groaning, yelling, his voice raw with a rage that increased each time he swung the blade. "Where is she?! I did everything you asked! Where is my mother?!"
