• The Blades For The Beasts

"Linne, our powers are limited here, so we're just as useful as you are," Spheris declared.

"W-what does that mean?"

"It means you're gonna have to defend yourself. Cerene and I will try to take out as much as we can, but if anyone manages to get through to you..." He shot her a determined glance. "...kill it!"

"What's our strategy?" Cerene inquired as the beasts drew nearer. "I'm not a great fighter, Spheris."

Spheris knew that. Akemi and perhaps Nero were the primary combatants in their group, each with their own strengths. Akemi fought like she was moulded for battle, while Nero relied heavily on his raw strength.

Cerene, in her own right, was very in tuned with her Essence. If this was a normal fight, she could easily vanquish the Grimmish foes on her own. But alas...
