Born of the wastelands, Spheris Arnadel, a young skilled thief, finds himself subject to a twist of fate when he steals a powerful relic and becomes a Bearer — humans gifted with powers from the Gods. As a punishment for his theft, he is cast into an otherworldly realm alongside other Bearers, where he faces off against monstrous beasts and powerful enemies. Yet, in his determination to return to the Continent and save his dying mother, Spheris is hell-bent on surviving the abyssal world. Even if it means giving his body to the Dark God whose powers he had stolen... even if it means losing all of his humanity.
It wouldn't really help to let frustration anchor his actions at that moment, but Spheris was very much frustrated. And not just because he had to stay high up in the clouds for hours — nine at the very least — but because he realized he was going to do this everyday.
This, he understood, would cause quite a significant disruption to his goals inside the realm. He would have to do everything in a time limit as he wouldn't want to be caught off guard by the floating islands when battling a Knightmonster, or when he was on the verge of claiming the Omega Key Variable.
"Stranded in the sky?" Obsidian joked at his frustration. "Now you see how it feels, don't you?"
Spheris clenched his fists. He'd only been inside Knightmare for mere minutes and the Expended Realm had already created an issue that was sure to detriment the rest of his stay here.
Faggards.
However, as much as he hated the idea, the only thing he could do now was wait.
