The Purgers Dungeon?

Kennith, our main male lead, gets trapped into the VR game his girlfriend loved so dearly. Had his world really ended? Or is there some way out of the hell he was put through? Uhm… It’s an Isekai type thing. Lots of Fantasy elements along with game mechanics are in this story.

Prologue: It Was Normal

October 28th, was when the whole world began to spiral downwards. My life as an ordinary college student, turned into a battle for my life. Had I known the terms of the "ending of the Earth" type thing, I at least would've made sure I was somewhere easy. Before that, I'll explain what I was doing only moments following my inevitable doom.

"Kenneth! Please, get on! I need help defeating this raid boss!" My girlfriend, Cricket, yelled from her bedroom. She had really been into this VR game that came out, The Purgers Dungeon or something like that, it had a bunch of disgusting looking monsters. Plus,

The graphics sucked ass.

I had a hard time enjoying it because it was so shitty. For the technology we had then, I wanted that shit to feel real. I wanted to be able to fucking fear for my life or some shit. With all its flaws though, made it suck. The game had a bunch of bugs, if you stepped on the wrong pixel your whole game would crash. Cricket loves coding and that type of thing, I know she would do way better than whatever this thing is. Though, I had to endure because of how much she enjoyed it. She's never been the best at video games, and she acknowledges that for sure. So, I wanted to be strong enough to help her out. BUT THE LEVELING WAS SO BAD TOO.

How are you going to make a game only for it to suck. 30 bucks we spent on that game. She is always giving it so much praise, "Omg, it was so worth 30 bucks though." I wouldn't even play that junk for 10 dollars. That's how bad it was.

Cricket came barging into my room, pleading with me to hurry up before the dungeon closes.

"I know, let me load in at least." I sighed, waiting for my computer to process the inputs. For such an ass game, it could at least make up for it by being easy to load into. Cricket squealed and hurriedly made her way to her room, I take a quick peek at her before she puts on the headset. She's happy, this was the life we had always dreamed of. Her being able to have her cutely decorated room, her posters covering large portions of the walls. I got to have my own personal space for once, we were living in pure bliss. Just being together and playing video games until we die.

I didn't think the whole dying part would come so soon.
